Brovarnia Gdańsk

Well made, clean beer in a fantastic location. Not much of a variety, pretty much the standard boring German influenced styles. Nice outdoor seating just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to relax with friends. Well worth stopping by if you’re in the city, but not worthy to be called a destination on a craft beer tour of Poland or Europe.

Schöné Lokalität innen wie außen. Das Bier ist ebenso auf einem hohen Niveau und der Biergarten gegenüber der Altstadt lädt zum ausgedehnten Verbleib.

Ok the Wheat beer is pretty freaking good… Food and service was pretty good. Nothing to complain about. I will return if i am ever in this part of the woods again…

The brewery is tucked away in an old granary beside Hotel Gdansk and makes for a rustic yet refined atmosphere. It’s a short excursion by foot outside the city centre away from most of the action, but worth the walk!
My friend and I plopped down on one of the many, large wooden tables and agreed it would be rude NOT to try each of the three, fresh microbrews. The Hafeweizen was my favourite; it goes down like a wheat beer should – wheaty and hoppy. Both the light and dark draughts were also quite tasty and my friend, who has a penchant for dark beers, said it was delightful. I’m told there are small batch, seasonal brews but unfortunately none on tap for my visit.
Brovarnia’s minimal staff casually drifted from table to table serving cheer with each mug of beer. Our server was a buxomly young woman, clad in some traditional beer-​hall garb and delivered our enormous steins with ease and a curious smirk that seemed to grow with each order. But, it could have been the beer…

Amazing home-​brewed beer. My favourites are gold lager and dark beer. Both probably some of the best beer I’ve tasted. Had to buy four bottles with me. Have one bottle left, but I have to save it for a special occacion. Would absolutely go back — this time with a semi-​trailer to carry all my beer back home.

Great beers (Dark, lager and wheat). Amazing pretzels when they’re hot; I’ve ordered them 5 times and its hit or miss. Salmon seems to be one of the best items in the menu. Side note: Polish mayonnaise is THE BEST!
