Unser Lieblingsrestaurant in Funchal! Wir sind große Espetada-Fans (Rindfleischspieß) und dort gibt es die leckersten Spieße auf ganz Madeira. Irrsinnig leckere, inkludierte Beilagen (Salat, Polentawürfel, Pommes) und tolles, zartes Fleisch. Wir haben außerdem noch den Schwertfisch mit Banane probiert — auch lecker, die Portion aber etwas klein. Großartig auch zu Anfang die Brötchenauswahl mit Salzbutter, Knoblauchbutter und Sardinenpaste sowie Oliven. Tolles Restaurant zu fantastischem Preis in gehobener Atmosphäre. Zu Recht bekommt man auch unter der Woche ohne Reservierung keinen Tisch.

So impressed with the quality of welcome. Real attention to detail and happy to recommend selected dishes or to steer you in a better direction. Wine was truly excellent as well. Decided to return this Friday! Highly recommended.

The best service in any restaurant in Funchal so far. Skilled, knowledgeable and, yes again, perfect English language proficiency.
The food on the menu is Portuguese with compromises for the tourist — or are French fries an invention of Madeira?
Bread soup and all the typical fish and pork of the island. Try it out.
The kalamares with onion soup and bacon are good but not too distinctive in taste. Has the cook compromised too much?
I am suspicious that the same happened with the Molotov cake: why add a cream with no flavor at all (just sweet). Remember, we are in the south and flavors should be strong.
Just like the bread soup: a daring soup indeed. But even if it will not become my favorite dish /it was unique and distinctive.
