Campioni Pizza Birra & Tapas

Wonderful place. My wife and I were walking around town when we stumbled on this gem. We had three tapas and a cheese pizza. Both the tapas and the pizza were excellent. The place is clean and well kept and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it.

Monday nights can be a rough time while on vacation. You’re all rarin’ up to do something and the town is as quiet as a mouse.
So our happiness was immediate when we saw the bright-​lit exterior of Campioni. The restaurant was packed and the bar just happened to have 3 spots available. Perfect.
When in PR, Sangria is so prevalent – like iced tea’s the house wine of the South – so try different ones when you’re here. Even the Capris Sun-​esque packets of sangria are good (Palo Ready brand was our favorite.)
We all started with a green Sangria and it was fruity and sweet – good! Their beer selection is interesting and varied so we hopped on that boat too.
I only wish we got to try the food! We were full of mofongo from our earlier meal but as food like pizza passed by me, I’ll say that it looked legit.
From the bar we moved outside to the tables there. Ahhh it’s so nice to sit outside in warm air in the middle of February! The service was really awesome all night. And when we shut the bar down, no ‘Closing Time’ blared on the speakers, nice.

We’re military stationed here for two years so we’ve traveled to many places and have eaten at many restaurants. That being said I can honestly say this was one of the best pizza joints I’ve been to. The staff was super friendly and had someone on staff who spoke English to help us out with the menu. We had the smoked salmon pita appetizer then the chicken Gorgonzola pizza followed by the chocolate brownie and pistachio cake for dessert. Kids ate everything including the salmon appetizer. We’ve unfortunately had some bad experiences with restaurants in ponce, it made me not want to eat out anymore so this was a pleasant surprise! Eat here!

Delicious pizza– we had been there for lunch. Ordered their best seller bacon ranch pizza. Best Pizza I have ever had in a long time. our waiter Richard was very attentive and honest. We were 2 adults and a toddler and he told us that a regular size would be more than enough and we did not have to order the large size. He was right… Needless to say, we left him a 20% tip.!great ambience. Don’t miss it if you visit Ponce.

Delicious Pizza best I’ve ever had. The «Chorizo Albino» it’s to die for. I had the Margarita Verde and it was very good. The space, the service, the vive, the place overall it’s great! When i go again and orther something else from the menu and like it I’ll consider the 5^th star !!

La verdad mi experiencia en Campioni ha sido bastante desagradable, contrario a lo que había escuchado de varias personas. Llegue con un grupo de amistades y familiares y el restaurante no estaba lleno, nos atendieron relativamente rápido pero una vez nos sentaron el servicio no fue muy bueno. Nos sirvieron agua como de costumbre, unos momentos más tarde la mesera se despidió porque su turno había terminado. Ya nos habían tomado la orden la cual se tomó quizá un poco más de lo moderado en llegar pero tampoco demasiado tiempo. Mientras esperábamos tuvimos que pedir que bajaran el volumen de la música porque apenas y podíamos hablar en la mesa, más bien necesitábamos gritar para poder interactuar y podría decir que se podía escuchar a todo el mundo en el lugar tratando de lidiar con la misma situación. Una vez se sirvió la comida se puede decir que no fuimos atendidos, ningún mesero paso a atendernos, pasó cerca de 30 min hasta que tuve que llamar a alguien para que me sirviera agua, le pedí agua para todos en la mesa y solo trajo 4 vasos mientras que éramos 5 personas.
En cuanto a la comida me atreví a decir que no me impresionó en lo absoluto, la masa en las pizzas se sentía seca y dura, he probado pizzas artesanales mucho mejores. Para ser pizza en horno de leña no siento que el sabor de la pizza fuese como otras pizzas en horno de leña que he probado. Ninguna de las pizzas tiene queso fresco y los vegetales la verdad no me parecieron muy frescos o de muy buena calidad. Tampoco presentan opciones para la harina de la masa. La pizza de setas fue una buena opción, la recomiendo. La pizza de vegetales no me impresionó y no la puedo recomendar así como tampoco puedo recomendar la pizza de 4 quesos.
En cuanto a los precios me parece que son demasiado altos para un producto que evidentemente no es de muy buena calidad. Algo que me impresionó fue el hecho de que nos cobraron adicional por hacer una pizza mitad de setas y mitad de 4 quesos, no recuerdo haber tenido que pagar extra por ese pedido en ningún restaurante donde sirvan pizzas artesanales ni en PR ni en los EU.
En general digo que el servicio no me agrado para nada, con excepción de la primera mesera que si ofreció muy buen servicio. Y la calidad del producto no es muy buena y no justifica el precio que están cobrando.

Ambience and pizza is great. Service was quite nice also and the cost was reasonable for what you get. 1 regular pizza and one large one fed the whole family. I love how relaxing the place is.

We waited 15 mins before someone came over to take our order in a half full restaurant. Two tables, one with more people, that came in after us were done with their food before our food arrived over an hour later. To their benefit the food was good but the service and wait were abysmal. As a result we got a discount after an apologetic manager came over to apologize.

Very nice ambience in historic Ponce, with nice patio and indoor areas. Service was good. Really good salad — very big with lots of greens, unusual in these parts, but I wished that it came colder. Curiously, the pizza was well below expectations. It was unevenly cooked, crispy in some areas and undercooked in others. It also came in sort of cold. The lasagna was very good. Wine by the glass selections were limited, just Pinot Grigio and Chianti, but they have bottles and full bar. My 3 Star rating is only for the weak pizza.

Let me start by saying this: I rarely (if ever) award 5 stars. I tend to believe a 5 star review is like a unicorn… while exciting to think about, they just don’t exist. This place, however, makes all your wildest dreams come true.
The wait staff is absolutely fantastic. Friendly, attentive and… well… downright hilarious! The food is plated beautifully and the taste will make your taste buds sing praises! We had the Sangria Verde (seconds, in fact), the bruschetta and skirt steak pizza. Absolutely fabulous! At the end, our waiter even invited us to see their beautiful oven (where the pizzas come to life). The place where the magic happens was immaculate. No question that our food was well taken care of. If you’re in the area… check it out. You won’t be sorry (and your tummy will think it’s Thanksgiving)!

Amazing artisan pizza, great ambiance, and attentive staff. We started with the prosciutto bruschetta, instead of crostini they served this appetizer on thin pizza crust. I had my doubts but it worked. I also had the house drink, sangria verde, oh so tasty. Our group ordered Fruto di Mari and the Churrasco (steak) pizzas. I must tell you all ingredients are of high quality and these pizzas were excellently executed.

Delicious pizza, one of the best I’ve had! Bruschetta Prosciutto is a must try appetizer. They had two for one appetizers during weekday lunch hour which was a nice surprise. We had half gaucho and half tutti supremo pizza. The gaucho was my favorite of the two. We were too stuffed to try dessert.

Omg this pizza is amazing! We had the Gorgonzola pizza and it was wonderful! Service is great as are the prices! If you are craving great brick oven pizza, this is the place to go!

I tried their pizza, to go, for the first time a couple of days ago, and it is, by far, the best pizza I’ve had in years! The ingredients are fresh and the crust is thin and cooked to perfection. I am definitely going back!

Great food, great service and a great place. Highly recommend you to go! You must try the chocolate cake with ice cream. Oh so yummy! Also the supreme pizza. We loved it!

This place is rockin! Great pizza, good beer and wine selection and friendly staff. Fantastic Brat Pack background music. Nice experience. Oh, and very accomodating, found the hockey game and put it on just for us! Chicken Gorgonzola pizza delish.

Really nice, trendy pizza place. Good ambience, you can choose between the inside with live music (few nights in the week) or the patio which is great to hang out with friends or family if your interest is to have a nice conversation with good food.
Menu with a great variety of artisanal pizzas or tapas. Need to try «Albondigas de res» or better known as meatballs and the Grilliata.

Good food. Good service. Good location. Next to the center of old ponce. We are now repeat customers. Thank you.
