Sorry to locals but Ponce is a culinary desert. Unless your palate is subtle enough to distinguish amongst fried foods, So what a relief to find a Japanese restaurant. Try the Latin fusion rolls(they don’t call it that mercifully). Friendly service, cool décor, no attitude.

Really good food and great atmosphere. We had a couple of rolls, and 3 dishes off the Fusion menus. Everything was delicious. My sons had the Orange Skirt Steak and the Orange Chicken. I had the sake glazed salmon. Everything was Yummy!

I wasn’t really looking for sushi for my last night in Ponce. We found that most of the other restaurants were closed and having already eaten at Lola, we decided to try Ōkui. We got the Cuban Roll and the Bacalao Roll and I thought both were really good. They both featured non-traditional elements — steak, plantains, and bacalao– salty cod. We got the pork dumplings and those were really good as well. The staff was extremely nice and the cocktails looked great. I’d say it is worth a try, even for just cocktails and apps.

Sushi was okay. Some drinks were good. The service was terrible. Two of my friends food took over an hour to come out… after we told them 3 times. I also orders the Spicy Thai Chicken Noodle soup and I did not get the noodles.

Modern sushi in what appears to be a slowly dying old town? I didn’t think so, but was pleasantly surprised. Don’t get me wrong; best sushi of your life it ain’t, but they do offer some pretty cool rolls. The dessert coffee soufflé and fried cheese cake will finish it nicely. The service was stellar to boot. If you are around give it a shot :)

Although the waiter was outstanding and working by himself, the food was really disappointing. The rolls took almost 2 hours to be done, the spicy tuna was past the«use by» date. We had to return 2 of the rolls. I ordered a beef stir fry which tasted straight from the freezer bag. The pork dumplings were hard, dry and lacking any sauce. We had a chat with the manager/owner and they responded with an attitude. We had a «Gustazo»(Groupon) and it was not honored. Bottom line, the food was horrible and the management wouldn’t take feedback from their customers.

Worst place to eat sushi, miso soup that tasted like a lipton french onion soup, okui roll was like eating plain and simple white rice(without any flavor), the ONLY dessert in the menu(fried cheesecake) tasted like something you can buy frozen and precooked in the supermarket, the flavor of ginger mojito was like simple common mojito(didn’t have any of ginger in it), they need to hire a real chef ASAP if they want to suceed, and by the way they only had just ONE waiter for all the restaurant in a saturday night

It was actually really good. I had the spicy tuna rolls and pad thai and i cannot complaint both dishes were perfectly executed. Oh by the way the fried cheese cake was heavenly… Great job guys!
