We were looking for a nice sit down dinner, and boy did we find it. The food was amazing at Las Tia’s. There wasn’t a single thing we didn’t love. The appetizer of balsamic vinegar coconut shrimp, tostones with pork sausage and the fried yucca were perfectly seasoned and delicious. The main dish of langostino and shrimp risotto was among the best I’ve had. My friends ordered the tenderloin and pesto chicken pasta and were not disappointed. The sangria, amazing. Fruity, tasty and refreshing. Get the pitcher, it’s worth it! Even though we were stuffed to the gills, we had to try the dessert, which I’m so glad we did. Almond flan with amaretto sauce. I think ill be dreaming of it for months. Service was great. There is no parking, so you do have to circle around, but it’s worth it. Will definitely come back.

Absolutely lovely restaurant in Ponce. Colonial building with high ceilings. Dining as if in someone’s home. Nancy our server was warm, friendly, accommodating and from the Bronx :) Delicious hamburgers had by hubby and son. Pasta puttanesca was al dente and sauce was flavorful and not salty. Homemade sangria and Caesar salad added to our meal. Great almond flan and café con leche! Our first time here and would come back often and recommend to all. Thanks Nancy. Going back to 18 degrees tomorrow but will take your warmth with us!

So I was visiting the island and we found this lovely place, in town center of Ponce. So in our case we where sitted outside and you had in front of you historical houses and places that make this setting so cute. The restaurant is in a historical house, so its really nice, cause gives you the idea how people lived in the city back in the day. We order Sangria is was so nice and on point, you have to try it. So we had for dinner Chicken filled with Pasta Pesto and shrimp/fish risotto, «Mini Parrillada» chicken, steak, sausage and for dessert it was Flan de Almendras. Everything was sooooo nice and Perfect. Totally coming here next time.

Visited as tourists. Lovely restored building. Meals were excellent and freshly prepared. Inspired by «contemporary American» rather than«Cocina Criolla» flavors.

If you ever wonder what could make you leave the San Juan area, Ponce is your answer, and Las Tias your reward for venturing out of the island’s comfort zone. Las Tias is that place you go to reward yourself after a long drive or a long day. The 19th century-like character of the place, relaxed yet attentive service and gastronomic choices will make you glad to came on down. Before of after your lunch or dinner(call in advance as they don’t serve lunch every day) you will have the picturesque town square with its architecturally interesting ‘Parque de Bombas’(firehouse) to explore — and it’s just one block away! You’ll find also many shops and street vendors for last minute shopping. Las Tias food and drink menu is really great. Surf or turf, all is prepared with the perfect seasoning, to the perfect degree. I suggest starting with some ‘croquetas de yuca’(casava croquettes) and taking it from there. ¡Buen provecho!

This restaurant is great! It’s situated in a cool historic house close to the main downtown square. Went here for dinner with a party of six and we were seated in the library/den which was a really neat setting. All of the dishes were quite good. The chick pea soup was delicious. The salads were pretty good. The risottos were some of the best I’ve ever had. The service was decent but the food and cool setting really made the dinner one to recommend. Would definitely get dinner here again.

Went here recently during the week expecting the experience that matched the reviews. It turns out that during the week they serve a shorter food menu that is pretty basic. The food was good and we did not leave hungry but it was not what we were hoping for. Service was great and friendly and the little patio was nice.

Good job for trying but for a small town like this the menu is over priced and service very slow and not pleasant. The décor and furnitures need a little updating and clean up. Some originality of the localness

So worth it of you’re seeking a relatively upscale but homey option near central Ponce. A beautiful restaurant in a historic building. Friendly professional service and very good food. Loved the cod fritters, sangria, salads, and the daily specials are focus on seafood. Wish we went back the second night.

Incredible seafood! Probably the best fish we had on the island, and their rice was so tasty, I had to order more to take home! The menu presents a wider variety of ingredients than I experienced elsewhere — some of the items did not have easy English translations. Prices are reasonable for a sit down restaurant in PR, and I believe they have live acoustic guitar in the evenings. Americans be warned though, men must be wearing sleeved shirts. Definitely a classy joint, but not snobby at all and well worth the money.

This place was a hit! The food was delicious and the service was great! Our waitress happened to be from The Bronx just like us and we had a great time chit chatting between her bringing us our drinks and food. She also made the sangria which was the bomb. Try it, you will like it!

This restaurant was easy to find, and the food was very good. Try the bacalaitos and you won’t be disappointed. The artichoke and mushroom risotto was exceptional. Make sure to call ahead and reserve a table — especially for large parties. Staff took good care of us, too!

We went here after a long day at the dry forest. This restaurant has a great atmosphere and the food was perfect. I ordered the Puerto Rican Christmas dinner and was pleased. The pastele was delicious, the arroz con gandules were also great. My only complaint would be that the pork was on the dry side. The majority of the staff was quite pleasant, one of them appeared not to want to be there however. I would definitely go back and try some of the other specialties. In general it was a great experience.

Thanks to the Unilocalers who helped me find Las Tias! This place is a real gem in terms of sophistication of cuisine, unpretentious ambiance and quality of service. We went on a Friday night and enjoyed a well selected glass of wine and guitarist at the bar before being seated on the outdoor patio. As the other reviewers noted, the atmosphere is classic comfort. We had the tostones with sausage for appetizers — each bite was dynamic and tremendously flavourful. Our mains included a delicate cod with smooth yautia pure and a perfectly cooked salmon. Dessert was nothing short of perfection with a dainty almond flan and pan borracho. The portions weren’t huge but satisfying and the manager saw us out like family. I’m looking forward to returning to Tias!
