Good food for a great price. We had breakfast here and liked it so much that we came back and ordered take out for dinner. Great service as the servers were very attentive and personable. Highly recommended as an alternative to eating at the overpriced Wyndham Rio Mar.

My husband and i came here twice during our break — once for breakfast and once for lunch. The service was great and the place is really nice. Prices are reasonable — though i wouldnt say cheap. The owner was very nice also and showed us around the property as well which was very much appreciated. Lunch was really good, but breakfast was somewhat less impressive. If you want to have some good comida criolla in a beautiful setting, this is a great place to come.

Great people, nice cozy breeze place, very clean but they don’t know how to do breakfast. The fried eggs are difficult to mess, and they did. The pancakes will crumble… They confused the orders and the coffee is weak. Still very service oriented and nice friendly servers. They just need a new breakfast cook.

The service is out of this world !! Food is prepared by cooks who care what your food taste like ! Not fancy but very good ! Waitress and waiter try to make sure you are pleased ! Food is authentic ! They have bottled water ! This is our second visit here . We haven’t been impressed with a lot of restaurants here in Puerto Rico so far but we came back here !

Found this place by accident and so glad we did. The service was great(thank you Barbara!) and the food was delicious. We came here for breakfast and for lunch. The menu is not fancy and the prices are very reasonable. Monday — Friday they have a lunch special for $ 3.50. It’s a steal that gets you rice, beans, salad and a choice of meat. I tried the pork and it was great! I would definitely come here again.

Had the lunch special this afternoon. Very good traditional Puerto Rican food. The special comes with salad, puerto rican beans and rice, and your choice of one of three meats(pork, chicken and plantains w/beef). We tried the pork and beef, which were very good. Overall, no complaints. Just watch out for the black birds and the Mystic Grape-Straberry drink: 63g of sugar and 250 Calories … In a drink. Ridiculous.

Approached it as it looked cute and was down the street from Wyndham Rio Mar hotel. We waited 20 mins and no one came. It’s not like they were short staffed. We ended up leaving and ended up at Don Pepes. Try that place instead. At least you get seated and waited on right away.

I wandered into this place after an arduous hike in El Yunque and I was starving! The restaurant looked charming and had a cozy outdoor seating area. We were greeted by very friendly and accommodating waitstaff and remained sated until our meal by the buttered tostones. The food was tasty, but the most memorable part of the experience was sitting on the outdoor patio and a cool, clear Puerto Rican evening.

Loved it, our dialy gathering for breakfast during our vacation. Conveniently located off Hwy 3. Beautiful landscape gardens, delicious local food. Reasonable, actually great value. Clean. There are some nice pieces of art to enjoy.

First of all, as a Puertorican person I would like to apologize to those of you who go to this place wanting to try Puertorican cuisine. This was a huge misrepresentation of true Puertorican flavors. We use seasonings such as sazon, adobo, sofrito, culantro and the list goes on. I found non of those flavors in this food. The food here was bland! The tostones(fried plantains) were from frozen. There were fruit flies in the ice. Service was super slow! All around horrible! If you want real Puertorican cuisine go someplace away from the hotels. The places near the hotels cheapen the experience and hike up their prices. And this place is no exception! If I could give this a zero star rating I would! Save your stomach and your appetite. I wouldn’t send my worst enemies dog here to use the bathroom. Sorry to be so harsh!

First place in Puerto Rico where we were greeted and seated immediately. Menu provided in both English and Spanish and they have a pretty decent selection. The oatmeal is small but delicious. The burrito was great. Their service was good as well. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic place. Great service. Good+ food. Exceptional ambiance. I had the Salmorejo and wifey had the grouper which was spot-on! It’s Kid friendly and the owner really makes you feel welcomed. You leave wanting to come back. Bravo!

This restaurant is a gem! We went several times for the cheap and delicious brunch options(you must try the Super Burrito), and once for dinner as well. Easily one of my favorite spots. Be prepared to enjoy the breeze because they only have outdoor seating. There is a lovely water fountain that the birds love to bathe in, very cute. The atmosphere is just delightful, with plants everywhere and the perfect combination of shade and sunshine! My first night there, I had the Garlic Chicken Filet. It came with salad, tostones, and white rice. Very filling and delicious! Our server was very sweet. The Vanilla Flan is also marvelous, and so is the coffee, believe it or not. Overall, I had no complaints at all. Remember, on «island time» you’ll end up staying here for over an hour, even for brunch. Take advantage of the slow service to really relax and enjoy your meal.

Lunch special was awesome! You get to pick on a buffet and the kids meals good too. The rice with pork ribs is a family favorite and plantain pie was out of this world! Coming back for breakfast tomorrow.

Fantástico ! Local hideaway near Rio Mar Hotel with deliciously cooked home cuisine, typical of the Puerto Rican countryside. If you want a home cooked simple meal and don’t mind that you only have choice of two wonderfully prepared entrees, you need to try this place!

The food is good but the service is super slow. The Mofongo stuffed with shrimp was delicious. The stuffed tostones were OK, they didn’t taste as fresh as the Mofongo. The fried snapper was realllyyyyy good! But very messy. Overall a good quick place to eat, but the service was not that great! Also the bathroom had no toilet paper, empty paper towels and a sketchy radio in the closet. Adventure in PR!

Cute restaurant! Beautiful outdoor seating! My wife and I had the sangria, yeah 3 were enough to kill ya. We had the mofongo, crab for me, shrimp for her. It was very good. Little pricy for the smaller portions. Flavor made up for it! My son had a red snapper. Nothing better than knowing yup you’re going to get a full fish!!! Yummy! Excellent service & quality people!!!

Went about 10:30am and missed the crowd. The down side was they were out of one kind of juice and bacon. Boo. But they more than made up for it with the AMAZINGLY(simple) delicious oatmeal. Knocked it out of the park. Yum. The wind was blowing so it was nice and cool. To feed 2 adults with drinks for less than $ 13(that includes tip), you truly can’t get better than this place!!! Try: the oatmeal, the mofongo with chicken, the mixed arepa(PR biscuit) with shrimp & octopus, & the seafood soup. The fried cheese is also good, nothing special, but it is a local specialty. All in all we ate here no less than 5 times on our 6 day vacation. It was that good. Quaint, reasonable, good food and conveniently located down the hill from the hotel. It was a great trip & Antojitos made the cherry on top!
