We happen to stroll into this place when we were trying to get seated at another restaurant. The wait staff was very attentive and tried extremely hard to be accommodating. The food did not disappoint it was really good. We had a large sampler for appetizers which pretty filling. I had the asopoa de pollo(chicken stew/soup) was which was very flavorful and delicious. The food appeared to made with lots of love. We took the desserts to go since we were basically running on «E» and ready for the after the meal. My only one suggestion would be to add some wifi but this is an extremely minor inconvenience as overall we had a very pleasant experience.

All I have to say is order the coconut rice with cod, it is amazing and unique. Great food, the energy in this place is exciting, artistic and infectious. Small place, with live music, where the locals sing. Our waitress looked like Rosario Dawson and was such a cutie pie. Next time we are in PR, we will be back just for that rice.

Went in to savor the energy of La placita but wanted to be in a clean and well ventilated place. Boronia fit the bill. There was a live duet in what I thought was flamenco music but turned out to be just good Latin music. As a vegetarian my food options were severely limited and ended up getting the plantains cooked in every possible way, a plate of amazing pasta and a dish with eggplants and vegetables in a piquant sauce. My friends got fish and rice and were happy. Overall it was a nice place.

Visiting Puerto Rico and having dinner with a cousin and his lovely local girlfriend. We were headed for Tasca de Pescador in the La Placita area. I had failed to note that Tasca closes at 7:30pm. Bummer. The La Placita area is a lively place, though. Even so, I felt unarmed searching without Unilocal help. We did a walk around and stumbled upon Boronia. Que Bueno. Our local girl called it Puerto Rican Soul Food. Wonderful. Enjoy.
