Came here for breakfast twice during my visit to San Juan. The food was amazing and the prices were great — so cheap! Lots of locals come here & it can get pretty busy, so service can be a bit slower when it’s busy, but we were still in and out within an hour. My sisters and I ate here for $ 13 including two pancake plates(one with ham, the other with bacon), a fried egg/bacon/toast plate, and a coffee. The pancakes were delicious — very fluffy and tasty. Get the Italian bread toast that is delivered fresh each morning!

La Pradera, Miramar, Puerto Rico April 26, 2016 Visited the Pradera again because of their awesome food! It takes a bit to find a parking spot so be ready to drive around for a while. Once in, just grab a table and wait for the wait staff. The service, unfortunately, is not the best but the food, choices and prices are awesome. We had a great typical breakfast with scrambled eggs, pan sobao toast and coffee. There were 3 of us and we didn’t pay over $ 15 including tips, 2 coffees, one fresh squeezed orange juice and 1 Malta. Would we go back again? Yes!!!

Tried this local place for breakfast since it was near our hotel, Courtyard Mirimar. Ordered the Cuban sandwich and was not disappointed! It was better than the one we had in Little Havanah in Florida!

Three times I’ve walked in here and after waiting for unreasonable long amounts of time to order food to go, I have yet tasted anything they do. It’s always full so I guess the food is good but they need to work with how to deal with the public, take and expedite orders.

Everything about our lunch here was great! Nice staff and very helpful! Our food we chose with a little help from our awesome waiter was excellent! Had the chicken breast with broccoli that was great. with freshly squeezed or orange juice. Fairly inexpensive too! Would definitely recommend!

Great place! Very inexpensive. Locals place. Great Cuban sandwich. Would go back in a second.

The food is just ok, like a budget Waffle House. Our coffee had chunks in it because of the cheap creamer, and the sandwich was decent. Definitely not better than Pinky’s. Whoever said that is on the wrong side of history.

We read all the glowing reviews and were disappointed to find this place is just a cheap diner with poor quality food. The coffee is cheap, yes, but it’s because it comes in a tiny styrofoam cup, tastes like instant and the«milk» sure seemed like non dairy creamer. It make the coffee have a slimy film. Couldn’t drink it. The fried egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was basic and bland. Pinky’s sandwich was better. The fresh squeezed orange juice was the best part. Why go here on vacation when you can get poor quality diner food anywhere? Or at least don’t come here thinking you’re finding a «local gem.» I think that’s a little patronizing for the local’s palettes.

Went back for some oatmeal, delicious! I was disappointed to find that they were closed on Sunday. Couldn’t get my oatmeal fix that day.

Delicious and cheap! Typical Puerto Rican food at great prices! you really can’t go wrong with this place. the waitress wasn’t too nice but we quickly forgot about it once the food came. Breakfast will be at LA Pradera for the remainder of our trip! :)

Local, cheap, basic. This is where you go when you are looking for a super basic breakfast or lunch on the cheap. Good coffee, poor service, decent food.

My husband and I were looking for an affordable place for lunch. This place had delicious Puerto Rican food, plenty of locals, and great prices. It’s not a high end place at all; just a comfortable joint to enjoy a meal. We will definately come back to try new items on the menu!

Great deal, good service. All locals in the restaurant, prices are low but fair for the food. Will become a regular of this restaurant!

We fell in LOVE with this place Everyone was very nice, full of locals and that is a good sign. Coffee is $.50 and breakfast for three was under $ 20. I ordered eggs and sausage… the toast is heaven. If you are looking for a good home cooked breakfast… this is the spot. Tell her the lady with the twins sent you.

The ham, cheese and egg Mallorca was out of this world! Better than the one at Pinky’s, IMHO. Coffee was also super excellent and only 50 cents a cup! Service was good– we sat at a table but it seemed some people sitting at the counter were slow to be served. The interior design is super basic — and they still had random Easter decorations up, but the AC was on in full effect and the food and coffee was super delicious! Prices for the coffee and the breakfasts sandwiches are phenomenal! A big breakfast for 2 with coffee was about $ 10.

If you’re looking for a quick and cheap lunch or breakfast(which is sometimes hard to come by in the area), look no further. The service was quick, the 50 cent café con leche was great and the cubano had me coming back for more. It’s usually a good sign when you see many locals dropping in.

A wonderful little gem. Don’t let the ubiquitous storefront anonymity fool you-the food is fresh, tasty, reasonably priced and a great choice to start your day.

Had the media noche sandwhich for breakfast and it was amazing! about $ 5 for a sandwhich. breaky was half sandwhichs, half tradition items, mostly eggs and stuff I wasn’t interested in. Tea was very small. The waitress spoke little english but it was no problem. GREATMEDIANOCHE!

It’s the first local restaurant we got into in San Juan. First try of Puerto Rican food and we loved it! The place is very local(we even depend on other diners for translation and understanding the menu lol). Their special mofonogo are amazing and I had mine with seafood and Yuka, and it’s really good. If you like to experience day to day local lunch, this is the place to go.
