The food was pretty ok. we ordered churrasco it was delicious, but the mixed cheviche was spicy and too juicy, not good. The filet mignon was ordered medium cooked and it came out well done. The service was terrible.

I’m not a fan of leaving a semi partial negative review but in this case I must! Especially since there was not a more aggressive manner of resolving our experience. Location vibe was nice the place was clean and the people were super nice however one of our dishes was completely unacceptable! We ordered Churrasco, according to the teenager with us she said it was«good» she didnt eat her fries which is highly unusual for a teen and it looked like it was tough as she cut it. Not sure how she didn’t complain but had to ask for a steak knife because the butter knife wasn’t cutting it(no pun intended). Very unusual for Churrasco it’s usually edible with a fork alone. Next comes my Ceviche de Pescado y Camarones … Now THIS was probably the best thing on our table … The only flaw was too much liquid, it’s not supposed to be a cocktail it’s a ceviche. Coming from a cook, it’s a minor flaw but still this chef needs to pay attention! The third dish was the lemon at our table… Tallarines Salteado. OMG!!! I can’t believe my friend was quietly eating this without a negative comment but she was embarrassed we would say something. When I tried it immediately I felt my lips numb! There was soy sauce and salt Galore on this dish! It was completely not edible! I immediately asked the waiter to please let chef know this is unacceptable and he did ask to make it again but we were in a hurry and she decided not to. I should e insisted on a correction(to go), but time wasn’t on our side. In San Francisco or most places they would remove it from the check and this usually means a phat tip for waiter but nothing was done. I’m sorry now but I should have insisted on a new plate with NOSOYSAUCE or salt !!! This dish never calls for soy sauce perhaps an 1⁄8 tsp if any but not a ¼ cup and to make matters worse, salt too??? Oh wait they also use Lo Mein noodles? Maybe I’m a spoiled foodie and cook from San Francisco but again any chef that is trained would NEVER let a dish like this land in any of their diners tables. Shame shame shame … Be careful when ordering here and make sure you say ZERO soy sauce it’s not even good for us and does horrid things to the taste of what could have been an awesome dish! PS no chicha morada at a Peruvian restaurant another thumbs down! Tsk tsk tsk… They get a 3 stars for all combined service, fruit juices, and the ceviche.

Extremely slow service. We told the waiter we had to catch a movie 1 and a half hours after we arrived, and she assured us we would have plenty of time. We ended up being late. The first main course we ordered, red snapper, was unavailable. We then tried to order a grape cocktail, which the restaurant also did not have. I then ordered a lima mojito, which tasted like water with lemon(barely any alcohol??). The sangria my friend got tasted the same! I then got camarones al ajo(garlic shrimp) which were basically flavorless. The sides we got, plantains, came with a tartar sauce that must have come from a prepackaged bottle from the grocery store across the street. Looked and tasted as if they didn’t make it. Our other side, fries, never arrived until we repeatedly asked… After we had finished the main course! Terrible service and crappy food 0⁄10 do not recommend

I normally don’t write reviews but I was pretty disappointed in the restaurant. The décor was nice and contemporary but the service beyond sub par. I ordered the Fish Tiradito. My buddy ordered the fish and shrimp ceviche. On the menu my dish was under the ceviche entrees. When the dishes came my «entrée» was the size of an appetizer! I was truly appalled. My friends plate was four more dollars but it was a mountain of ceviche. I couldn’t believe the stark difference between the quantity of food on both plates for a similar entrée selection. When I questioned the server if I had ordered an appetizer he said no. After I voiced my frustration he said he couldn’t do anything and walked away. I ended up paying $ 25 with tax and tip for an appetizer. If it’s worth anything my friend’s dish looked good.

Best ceviche ever! I ordered the ceviche mixto and the seafood was so fresh! The staff was friendly and helpful. The wine selection was pretty good as well. Will definitely go back and recommend as a must try!

Place was recommended by colleagues, went to try the ceviche. Service wasn’t great, recommendations were unhelpful. A/C was unnecessarily high. Prices were a little high for the type of place. No Peruvian theme, music or decorations at the restaurant. The drinks were awful. I had the ginger pisco — it was offensive to the taste. My date had the wine-sauce filet mignon with tacu-tacu as side, I had the mixed ceviche with fried plantains. Both were very disappointing. The filet was flavorless, almost sauceless; she didn’t touch the tacu tacu, as it was terrible. Same for the ceviche. Rubbery and tasteless seafood, that I’m certain the guest can prepare it better. So, in summary, tasteless and plastic food, steep prices and snotty service. Will not try again, and unfortunately, will not recommend.

The service was terribly slow. The chicken tasted as if it was microwaved. The plantains were bland. Would recommend going elsewhere.

This restaurant makes up for the big fail we had at breakfast and lunch. I ordered papillot which was white fish served steamed in a foil pouch in a yummy sauce and topped with shrimp. The shrimp was overlooked but the fish and the sauce was to die for. As a side I ordered the tocu tocu which is a fried rice and is very rich and delicious. We also ordered fried cassava which was good and somewhat like fried sweet potatoes. The ambience and service were great and the server waS very helpful especially with our vegetarian requests since there were very limited options. I would definitely come back. Loved it!

The best experience I had in two weeks of living in Puerto Rico was at this place. Very fresh seafood and outstanding service. The food in general is expensive in Puerto Rico, but this place will give you value for money. I tried the soup with white fish and it was very unique — healthy, little crunchy with some kind of nuts and the fish was so soft and fresh. My husband ate the red snapper and it came beautifully decorated on a plate with loads of vegetables. I took many pics of the dish — it looked so good, i did not want to eat it.

I was recommended this spot by a local who was working at the hotel where I was staying. He recommended the tacu tacu relleno and it was definitely a special treat! I have had Peruvian food several times in the past but never have I had the tacu tacu — wowzers! This dish combined crispy textures with savory flavors, fresh seafood, and a certain je né sais quoi! I would definitely return for this dish! I met another visitor in town for work, sitting next to me, and who ordered way too much food — needless to say I got to try some of the other menu items — how fortuitous! The tostones here were huge, but average, though the aioli that came with it was delicious. The shrimp ceviche was everything I could’ve expected and more! And the Lima salad was refreshing and had a nice passion fruit vinaigrette that was a first for me! Be warned, however, like most nice restaurants in PR, prices are not low! Expect to spend what you would at dinner in NYC when you’re here!

Excellent! Our experience at Lima was amazing from the second we walked through the front door. We came across this spot by pure accident after the place we intended to be at was overcrowded. Our server Danny was great! He was so friendly and quick to suggest an entrée to match our cravings for the evening. Once the food arrived, WOW! Shrimp Chaufa — the rice was freaking great, the shrimp was cooked perfectly and seasoned like no other! There was nothing that needed to be added. Sheer perfection on its own. I would order this over and over. The Lomo Saltado was also a big hit. The steak was tender and the seasoning was out of this world. Another dish I would order over again! Churrasco with Chimichuri sauce on top was delicious. The steak was so flavorful and tender and the Chimichuri sauce on top was awesome. We finished up with the Dulce de Leche, Coconut and the Guava desserts. All 3 are super good. We went back the following evening just for the desserts. The entire staff and the food made this a place we will visit over and over again.

Great great last meal in Puerto Rico! This review comes from a New Yorker who has pretty good standard for restaurants. Service was great! Just expect slower service than what you might be used to I. The states, seems to be a reoccurring thing in Puerto Rico. The ceviche mixto was great as an app for five people to start! It was late enough for everyone to have more than a bite and enough variety to keep it interesting. A must to have is the fried red snapper! If you are afraid of bones, the red snapper is a very meaty fish with few small bones. If you choke on a bone you need to learn how to eat again because they’re like 2 inches long and thick. The tacu tacu was great but wouldn’t get it again. Mostly rice and not as much seafood as say a filet of fish. Also a little salty. Definitely get the tres leche for dessert!

The ceviche at Lima is second to none. Service was great with young and friendly servers. Ambiance is comfortable and you can either eat inside or outside. Our group of 7 stayed inside since it was a hot night. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. We would definitely go back!

The best ceviche we had in PR! The service was great, very informative and friendly. We had the pescado ceviche, pulpo salad, whole snapper and the lomo saltado with tacu tacu. Each dish was very flavorful and very good. For dessert, we had the dulce de Leche pudding with meringue on top — so sweet but good! You must visit when going to PR — ask for their house hot sauce too.

I wish I could give this restaraunt a higher rating but I’m basing this review on authenticity to the Peruvian taste pallet. Otherwise the location, ambiance, staff and overall food deserves a 5 — if you’re not expecting all dishes to taste like you are in Peru. We ordered pisco sours, causa de salmón, ceviche de pescado y camarones, ají de camarón, y tacu tacu(side dish). The drinks were delicious and I was impressed with the ceviche. The causa left a little to be desired in the seasonings and the tacu tacu was our least favorite dish. It tasted very tomatoey — more like Heinz ketchup. This should definitely not deter anyone from visiting this location and trying the food; but for us, it didn’t meet our taste expectations.

5 stars for excellent service! And a really cute and flirty waiter! :D I think I fell in love haha My two girlfriends and I came here directly from the airport around 1pm with our luggage since we couldn’t get into our airbnb yet. Luis greeted us at the door and let us keep our luggage tucked into a corner. He’s super cute, friendly and had a lot of suggestions for the menu. We had: — ceviche mixto with sweet plantains — super fresh and delicious! Luis gave us their spicy sauce/salsas so we could control the heat level, yum! — grilled octopus — special of the day I believe. Really tender but on the saltier side — pescado Saltado with fried plantains — yum! Fish chunks were delicious — tres leches cake — Luis gave this to us on the house as a welcome to Puerto Rico! It was DELISH and I’m not a dessert person! Super moist, you don’t even have to chew it and not overly sweet Service was excellent. Puerto Ricans really know how to enjoy a leisurely lunch! We were eating on a Thursday afternoon and there were several tables in there who looked like they were on business lunches that we’re going on 2+ hours! Lol Luis even gave us directions to our airbnb! Which was appreciated because it started pouring rain and we wanted the quickest way to get indoors. Highly recommend!
