Food, service, and wine were all on point. The Seafood risotto was delicious and the sea food was so fresh and amazing. Homemade pizza dough was tasty a s hit the spot. Friendly staff! Would definitely recommend eating here!

Great place! Risotto was outstanding and my wife’s pizza was exceptional. Service was very good. We noticed mostly locals and we can see why. After noticing another patrons desert(cheesecake) they passed over a spoonful!!! Yum!!!

One of the most disgusting experiences of my life. The manager, the hostess, and the staff are arrogant, obnoxious, and condescending. Reservations do not make a difference. You still have to line up for a table. Service is so slow you can have two meals somewhere else to what the manager says«we are not Burger King». And he is right, Burger King has better trained employees! Will never set foot on that place again. Left without eating. A miracle they are still in business probably because they feed off the wonderful cinemas next door.

The worst restaurant I’ve been to in years!!! To the point where we didn’t even stay for dinner. We found the staff to be totally inept and disrespectful. Particularly the Manager. BEWAREDONOTPATRONIZE this Restaurant!!!

We went here when we stayed at caribe Hilton. Best risotto and pizza I’ve ever had! Also reasonable price. A great alternative after several days of local Caribbean food!

First meal in San Juan for me. Soooo good and Christina and Melissa provided great service. Everyone in our party of 8 had clean plates. Share the skirt steak and mushroom risotto. So flavorful and delicious, but so rich! Linguini with clams was light and fresh and great to share too! Seafood risotto on the salty side. Pizza Romano gets an 8⁄10. Melon tomato scallop appetizer was fresh too. Caesar dressing was a little weird(our only downside — not bad, just wasn’t a Caesar dressing.)

Really amazing food, but the service and ambience could be improved. The waiter was very good but it seemed very short staffed, leaving us waiting often. We got pasta dishes and a veal dish. The melenzana salad was also delicious. All very highly recommended!

In an area with a few options of all sorts, tried Melanzana. Bartender and waiting staff were very nice and helpful, but let’s get to the point, the food. Gnocchi was obviously not ‘home-made’, not cool for an ‘italian’ restaurant. Ordered a pizza and my girlfriend a pasta dish. All using very similar(too similar) ingredients in the sauces, repetitive and not that much taste. Good place to have a drink or glass of wine, and if you don’t know that much of Italian cuisine then enjoy and you might think it’s worth it. Going with a cook to eat doesn’t help much for being honest about the quality of the food.

We walked in around 6:30pm and the place was pretty empty. We were immediately seated and placed our orders. I had the lasagna and my husband ordered the chicken marsala. We both really enjoyed our meals. The reason this restaurant didn’t get more stars from me was the service. We were earing with two friends, one of which ordered a soda when we were seated. He literally had to ask for his soda halfway through his entrée. After the glass sat empty for about 15 minutes after finally getting it, he had to stop the waiter again the get a refill. Our waiter was definitely not the most attentive. He came to our table a total of three times in the hour and a half that we sat in the restaurant.

Two of my friends and I just went here for lunch. It has a clean, classy vibe and was packed so we had to sit at the bar. We ordered two individual pizzas, one Melanzana and one meat pizza. Both were great, the crusts were perfectly crisp and chewy. Another friend ordered the seafood risotto and it was the best dish of the lot. The calamari was crispy, albeit a little thin and my friends thought it was lacking a little salt but i appreciated that it wasn’t salty like other places can be.

Just plain amazing. Went there thanks to a recommendation of a co-worker and we felt in love. Started with a rose wine and truly appreciate a place where server have a good knowledge of their wine. Thats a plus and a good way to take care of us: «winnos». Appetizer we had the combo with fried mozzarella, potato turnover with ricotta cheese. Despite being tempted by the risottos and nice looking paste, we felt like a Pizza day. Brick over fresh the Campana with arugula and prosciutto. Amazing! Wrap up with the chocolate pudding. Great service, even the valet was extremely friendly, awesome décor. Food has placed this place as a true gem not only in Miramar but at all neighborhoods of San Juan.

A very nice Italian place in the heart of San Juan. The taste of their pastas and desserts are at par with any other upscale Italian place in mainland US. I loved that they can also make you vegetarian pastas and pizzas and they have more than one option for that. In a place like Puerto Rico where vegetarians have limited options, Melanzana is a hidden gem.

Absolutely horrible experience!!! We went there for dinner last night and all 4 of us were disappointed since our waitress(blond) didn’t know what she was doing or she didn’t care. We were sitting there for 45 minutes before she cared to come and ask what we would liked to drink, we asked for both wine and mixed drinks, after awhile she came back with the wine list and totally ignored the other two of us who wanted mixed drink so finally our friend went and ordered the drink at the bar which the bartender forgot to make… Long story short, the waitress managed to take our orders after an hour then got disappeared again. She brought my salad and main dish at the same time then while we were still eating she came back and started explaining about the dessert. The food was good but not worth the extremely poor service.

Disappointed to waste our last night in San Juan waiting for a table and then having to make our order«to go» because of rude drunk customers seated next to us. The pizza was yummy though.

Horrible customer service. Staff is very unprofessional and we had to repeatedly ask for the same item over and over. We ended up giving up and going to a different restaurant called la jaquita. It was amazing and made up for the horrible experience at this establishment.

One of the locals recommended this place & this is a very good restaurant. Service is very good & prompt, someone checked in every few minutes to make sure that we were ok(very discrete & not at all disruptive). Food was great & tasted fresh. Started with Ceaser Salad — one of the best looking salads visually & also had the perfect taste. For the main course tried the Grilled Tuna with Pasta — it was very tasty & very well cooked. Recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to try Italian around Condado.

They made our stay at the caribe Hilton! We actually went twice. After all the fried PR food, it was awesome to find some good, wholesome Italian food. One night we literally just had their Caesar salads to help our digestive system cope with all the PR food. The other night we had their pizza. We seriously love this place and would love to take it back with us. Their service, prices, pizza, salad, and drinks are 1st class. Must visit here if your on vacation or living in SJ. It’s a great place for a date.

La comida, el servicio y la experiencia estuvieron espectaculares! El carpaccio de bacalao y el rissotto de scallops, awesome. Pero el servicio del bartender, donde nos sentamos, superb. We’ll be back!

Another Argentine Pizzaria in San Juan. Enjoyed this one: upscale bistro/pizzeria. Interior is well designed and comfortable. Very fancy appetizers… looked and tasted good but not classical italian. The pizza was good, fresh ingrediants but the crust was lacking in a bit of flavour and yeast(sorry, I’m italian and LOVE my pizza) I’ll go back… there was lots to try on the menu. They have valet parking!

Was so surprised to find some of the best Neapolitan style pizza that I’ve ever had in San Juan! The pizza was perfect. The mahi mahi was good but not as good as the pizza. The atmosphere felt Italian but in a trendy and unique way. Service was good and the view from the table was nice. Would return!
