Yamburguer

We had their mushroom veggie burger and it was awesome! Very filling and flavorful. Though my favorite was their fries. They are the best fries we had in the Miramar/​Condado area. Also their drinks go well with their fries. It’s a great place for dinner, or if you just feel like munching on some fries and having a tropical drink.

The restaurant has a really cool design, but it is outdoors, so it can be a little hot. The menu options look really cool, lots of fresh juices etc. Service is good.
The food wasn’t really impressive. I just got a classic burger. The meat was not very well seasoned. The bun was super stale. There was a thin sliver of pale tomato and single leaf of wilted lettuce. I upgraded to onion rings and they were so greasy, and 10% onion/​90% batter&oil.
Husband got the frita Cubana (bc of Unilocal reviews) and wasn’t happy. A mixed chorizo/​beef patty topped with fried potato strings, same stale bread, very salty. Fries were fine.
I think this is a great spot to grab a few drinks when the sun goes down and maybe pick at appetizers, but I wouldn’t recommend actually eating here.

$ 50 for 2 burgers 2 beers and onion rings, and we were still kinda hungry afterwards.

Where can you get a lamb burger salad? Here! This place is great with great flavors and choices. A must if you want something simple with taste. they also have vegetarian and many options if you want something less or more.

Knock back a cold drink with a burger and fries overlooking… the back parking lot behind some seedy buildings? Okay, so the place’s ambiance requires a bit of imagination (or nearsightedness) but the food is good. The owner created and fine tuned all the dishes, and on the evening we visited was very active in the dining area making sure all guests were fully satisfied. We enjoyed our meals and drinks and left happy.

We wanted something away from our hotel, more local than tourist, and found this place. The restaurant has a covered roof, but is not enclosed, and looks out over the lot next door for parking. The ambiance there is lacking a bit.
However, while that ambiance lacks the food makes up for it. Our waiter (the owner, I think) was very enthusiastic and answered all of our questions. While he spoke English very well (much better than my Spanish!), there was a little bit of language confusion; if you have special requests, make sure you know how to ask in Spanish.
I got the Yamstelon burger (cheese, yellow plantains, caramelized onions, Calypso (mayo — yuck!) sauce on the side), the local rice and bean dish, and a Pina Colada without alcohol. Everything was delicious, and more than enough food. We talked about getting an appetizer as well, but it would have been way too much food. Warning — while the rice and bean dish was tasty it is NOT vegetarian — there’s pork in it. I avoid pork, and it was easy enough to pick out of the dish if you don’t want it. It does leave some flavor behind, though.
They stamp YamBurger on the Kaiser rolls, which is pretty neat.
All in all, a nice mixture of burgers and Puerto Rico food.

Decent burger and fries, chill vibe and nice breeze in open air seating. Cubana had good taste but would have benefitted from extra sauce. My 2 year old loved the fries. Wife had the chicken breast instead of burger patty and it was juicy and flavorful. Perfect amount of food, felt quite full. The Caribe Hilton, right over the bridge. Definitely closer than walking to Condado or Viejo San Juan, and a grocery store right around the corner if you need to pick up anything while in town.
In from Chicago so hard to compare to our burgers (pretty hard to get better food than Chicago) but this was a better priced and much tastier option than the stuff at the Hilton or Paseo Caribe complex, or the nearby Sizzler. After several days of tasty Mofongos, I just needed something more from home, and this did the trick. I’d go back.

I agree with the person who said stop what you’re doing and go eat here right now! Great lunch place. Outdoor but covered seating. Got the yamburger and the porkie fries which are bacon and cheese. Everything was awesome and they have daily special burgers that are a cheaper price! And the local Magna beer was on happy hour for 2/​$ 6. If we’d discovered this place earlier in our vacation I’d have gone there another time! Short walk from Condado Beach.

Cute place with a nice vibe, I could see it being a good place to go grab a drink with friends or to watch a game. The entire restaurant is outside, with a wood décor theme. Service was quick, though there wasn’t that many people there on a Tuesday night. I got the Yamerico (the Puerto Rican burger) and my friend got the Blue Cheese burger. We both enjoyed the burgers, though the bun was a little lacking, not as fluffy and light as I would have liked. But the insignia burned into the bun was a nice touch.

We had the pleasure of strolling by Yamburger on our first ever trip to Puerto Rico. The space was really cool. The restaurant is all outside and was a very comfortable space. We were greeted by Jose. He was really great, very friendly, and gave us some great suggestions on the food. Natalia also helped us and was also very friendly.
The burgers were delicious. My wife and I both got the Blue burger. One of the best burgers I have ever had. Our four year old son had the kids burger and he devoured it! He didn’t leave a crumb on the plate. I also ordered the cheese fries. I used to work at an Italian restaurant when I was younger and this is how I made cheese fries… you actually use real cheese and melt it. None of the processed goo that is supposed to be cheese. They were great. Oh yeah, they had bacon. Need I say more?
For desert we had coconut flan and Nutella tres leches cake. They were unbelievable.
5+ stars on this one, folks. Great food, great people, great space. If you are lucky enough to be in San Juan Yamburger will jam your burger!

Delicious, high quality, and creative hamburgers in a hip atmosphere. The owner and staff are incredibly nice and helpful and the vibe is relaxed and a great mix of urban cool and great service. Highly recommend!

Great place to hang out eat some bar type food and have a few drinks…
Big screen is great to catch the latest games staff very friendly and helpful.

It’s been a while since a craved burgers and now I know why! Because they weren’t real burgers! This place is quiet time. No one speaks because too busy stuffing their faces! No water breaks! Hahah the service is quick food is super fresh and original. The burger is so fresh that it crumbles as you take your first bite! Seriously cleaned my plate and the pistachio tres leches is to die for! 6 stars! Food network all that!

The Frita Cubana burger was delicious. The chorizo in the burger patty added tons of flavor. Love the laid back atmosphere. Great fun and casual outdoor restaurant to grab a burger and a beer.

great burgers worth the money !! I ordered the Lamb Burger my with is Celiac and they offer no bun choices. She didn’t get sick afterwards great atmosphere

I couldn’t even wait until we left to write this. We are still eating. The strawberry mojitos are so delicious and STRONG!
I had the brunch yamburger with «porkie fries» (aka bacon/​cheese fries). My boyfriend had the same burger but with the onion rings. Everything was delicious and despite not being able to order the burger med/​rare it was completely juicy and tender.
The service was slow but super friendly and patient with our large loud group. Make sure to respect the staff and see the note on the menu about splitting the check.
Overall, very happy (and full!!).

This place was hard to find. Mainly because it just looks like another back alley area of San Juan and the sign that says Yamburger is very high and you won’t notice it unless you are on the other side of the street. Admittedly the sign is very large so some of you reading this may think I’m just an idiot.
With that said, the food here was pretty solid. Especially considering that this is burgers and fries in Puerto Rico after all. The burger was juicy and flavorful but very small even though I got the largest burger on the menu (the double). The sweet potato fries were okay but actually had me wondering what the regular fries were like. I also got a chocolate shake which did the trick for dessert. Ultimately, there was nothing memorable about the food here.
However, the service was on point. The friendly bartender was constantly checking in on me and making sure I had everything I needed. Even with a slight language barrier, service was very friendly and helpful.
They had several beers to choose from at the bar and they were constantly making mixed drinks and frozen cocktails. This environment could definitely transform into a nightlife hotspot given all of the room they have to work with.
Overall, this was an average burger joint that would fill a burger craving while you are in PR.

Yam Burger opened this location on Ponce de Leon Ave in Miramar (San Juan). Best description is: a PuertoRican burger bar in a large porch like venue, with ample parking. It still has a cozy tucked away feel because of the gate entrance off the street…
I came here with my co worker for a sit down lunch. Server was friendly and enthusiastic about the menu offerings, giving several suggestions.
I chose the Yamstelon burger. Topped with cheese, yellow plantains, caramelized onions, MayoKetchup and Cole slaw on the side. GOOD LAWD!!!
Talk about delicious… the Kaiser roll was fresh and with a hint of sweetness, and had the restaurant logo charred into the bun! Meat wasn’t as savory as I expected but juicy, tender, and barely pink. However, the sweet and salty flavor brought on by the cheese, plantains and onions more than made up for it. I’m not sure I won’t want another burger unless it’s prepared this way!!!
Prices average about $ 10 per burger and there are roughly a dozen choices on the menu. You have 6 – 7 side choices for the burger, and can choose to have it served on a bun, in a wrap, «naked» (no bun and on top of a house salad).
I would recommend this spot, and you better believe I’ll be back!!!

Just awesome. Solid, fairly-​priced food in a striking high-​ceilinged indoor-​outdoor space. Dangerous sangria. People are so friendly that my burger got cold; it was delicious anyway. A completely unexpected highlight of my month in Puerto Rico. Come here.
Instant update: I came back the very next night and had the ribs tacos, which might be the single best thing I have ever eaten. Love this place.
