Mike’s Pizzeria

Ordered 3 slices, took over 20 minutes. We were starving. It didn’t really seem that busy and the waiter never really checked on us that much. Everyone was very friendly. Maybe they were just short staffed in the kitchen.
The slices were fresh though and really delicious.

It was a cool and quick stop… And to be honest I’m prefer ny slice pizza all day everyday but this just wasn’t the same… But they had beer to I’ll work with that…

Great pizza every time we’ve eaten here! I could eat here every day. Oh wait, I have eaten here every day! I will say that the night time staff are more friendly than the day time staff.

Great place for that late night snack walking back to hotel. Pizza is classic city slice. Greasy, cheesy with nice amount of topping.
Price is reasonable.

So, kids wanted pizza for dinner. Looked up for local places and Mike’s was getting slammed on the size of the restaurant and the wait times. Ironically only a couple of anti-​food reviews so we gave it a shot. Called for take-​out to avoid the issue of delivery times. The guy that took our order was friendly and said to give them 15 – 20 minutes. We ordered: 1 Large
Green Pepper, 1 Large — half sausage/​half cheese and 2 chicken caesar salads. Walked down to pick it up and the pizza orders were messed up — 1 large sausage and ½ a pizza that was green pepper. Family of 5 and mostly veg heads and this was a problem. The manager corrected the mistake and said it would take about 10 – 15 minutes for the new pizzas to come out so I sat at the bar. The place is small and it was packed with more people coming in constantly. Very american menu of items — fried appetizers, pizzas, calzones and salads. Standard. I had a Puerto Rican water (Medalla Light) and waited.
So, I would have given this place 3 stars but I bumped it up to 4 because of the service, ownership of the mistake which I truly believe to be a miscommunication between spanish and english and they gave us the messed up pizzas.
Things to know:
Large pizzas here are HUGE — 16″-18″ not entirely sure.
I like the chewy crust and the pizzas were properly cooked — no uncooked dough, etc.
Chicken Caesar Salad — the chicken is pounded super thin, not breaded, but fried on a griddle (you can tell by the marks) and pretty flavorless. Since we had it as take-​out it was wrapped in aluminum foil to maintain its heat and separated from the salads themselves.

Just based on its popularity alone — I would get this as takeout. You’ll wait forever for that place to clear out if you want to eat in.

Great customer service. Ordered take out via phone on a Saturday night and was helped without being rushed and had all my questions answered. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I got there 20 minutes later & it was waiting for me. These pizzas are huge, by the way. Bacon pizza with pineapple.
Took a star because it seems like they skimped a bit on the pineapple which is kind of a bummer but not enough to disappoint me.

Puerto Rico is known for there island vibes and fresh seafood and fruit but coming from California on my third night in Puerto Rico I began having pizza withdrawals. I went to the front desk of my hotel and asked for a pizza place. They gave me a flyer for this place. We called and asked for a large pizza with chicken breast and bacon. My goodness was this pizza big, I ate two slices and I was more than stuffed. They took about 40 minutes until they appeared at our hotel room door. The guy was Dominican (cool accent) and really nice, he gave us our pizza and we ate our withdrawals away. I am not a lover of bacon and my goodness this wasn’t A pizza with a bacon topping, this was bacon with pizza topping. It had so much bacon I couldn’t handle it. So for all you bacon lovers in Puerto Rico (Condado area) this is your place to go.

One is being generous… am babysitting and ordered delivery I told them the hotel where I was staying. never did they say they wouldn’t bring my order to my room. When my order arrived they called my room and said to come down and get it in the Lobby. I called the lobby and they said they are able to bring it to my room. I guess this driver was too lazy to come get a generous tip. They asked me if I wanted pizza. What part of «please bring it to my room the baby is sleeping don’t you understand?» Needless to say I said keep it!!! Very disappointed when ordering from a hotel they should state they are too lazy to walk it up to the room or it’s not policy so the customer knows this

We have only had delivery a few times, which was great. On time, food was hot, amount correct. The food we’ve tried is great! The lasagna and pizza are really good! The calzones are excellent! They use a great mozzarella cheese! Not sure why the mixed reviews, I guess pizza is like religion, what works for someone, someone else will condemn. Food for thought.
**Update** now I see a reason for the other reviews. We ordered at 6:30pm on a Sunday, delivery… Never had an issue, until tonight– They never came! We tried calling multiple times and the phone was busy?!? Never going there or ordering there again. So disappointing. Piola pizza is really great, we ordered their instead.

We ordered take out from Mike’s and the guy taking the order was friendly answering all my questions since I did not have a menu. We ordered two calzones and we should of ordered one because holy hell were they flippin’ huge!!! I swear it was like a medium sized pizza just folded over. So much food! The sauce that came with it was tasty. Could have used a little bit more spices but it was still flavorful. The greek salad came with balsamic dressing which I found odd. The veggies were fresh though. It came with canned black olives and I would of preferred kalamata olives but oh well I still enjoyed it. The wings were nice and crispy and the hot sauce was not a buffalo sauce which my sweets would of liked. I thought it was good and a nice change. It had a nice spicy sweet tang to it. I would get them again.

Okay, I’m not going to lie, once I first tried Mike’s Pizzeria I basically tried to find an excuse to order it every other chance I could get while we were staying in the area.
The pizza was just okay; but the CALZONES!!! I think I ordered them three times in the 4 days were were staying at the Olive Boutique Hotel around the corner. Don’t judge. It had literally been 12 years since I found a calzone as good as this.
I waved goodbye to Mike’s when we left Condado. I hope they let me know when they start delivering to Chicago!

The pizza was very good, NOT sure why u can only order a large pizza when u do a delivery order…
The spaghetti and meatballs needs some work sauce is to sweet… and meatballs were dry…
I would order the pizza again when I don’t feel like going out to dinner.
They told me 45 mins but I received it in 35 mins.

After checking in and being a bit jet-​lagged we were hungry! We did try another local joint which just as good. But of course we all had the late night munchies.
We do try to make it an effort to support the smaller local businesses owners every time we go out or travel.
My husband order a simple pizza pepperoni and cheese. Surprisingly without looking at the reviews on Unilocal prior to ordering here it was one of the best by far ever.
Pizza crust was good crispy all around a good solid pizza. Sauce was on the sweeter side which I prefer. The crust was yummy.
Ordered a side of curly fries. Was good as well, has a dash herbs sprinkled on as a garnish.
He came back with all of this and some groceries in less than a half hour.
After this mini getaway… I’m going to have to go a diet.

Late night munchies? Why not. Just not here.
Rating breakdown:
+2 for friendly staff. We got here close to closing time and they let us damn tourist who haven’t adjusted to their time in and order.
–3 for absolute rubbish food. I understand the frustration they had of the last minute customers coming in 10 minutes before closing time. I get it. I worked fast food as a teenager. But for common, cook the damn mozzarella sticks thoroughly. We were hungry. Anything should taste amazing when you are in this state. I love pizza. Just not this.

Poor delivery service. Mediocre food. It took them 2 hours to prepare and deliver my food. When it came, within 5 minutes the food got cold. I’ve tasted better Italian food in NY!
I don’t know where the other reviewers ate Italian food before but this food isn’t worth the money or the long wait for delivery. It’s a poor excuse for Italian food!

Nice place to eat pasta! Ordered a meat lasagna (16,50 $) and it came very big with a lot of sauce and cheese. The pasta was nice and well cooked. They replaced the salad for a smal plate of french fries. The can soda is 1 $ and there’s also a refill option (2,50 $). My order took about 20 min. Nice place for everyone (even for children). AC working nice, clean bathrooms and good service. I was going to the other one (in front of the beach) but they are more expensive and I’m not sure if I would get a big portion hehehe…
Ah, it’s possible to divide the lasagna or even ask half of it. Depends on you hungry but I suggest ordering half. I barely could eat the entire one.
Food prices seem to be a little higher due the neighborhood. Ah, they also have good-​looking pizza (only saw while other people ordered). Wil try the delivery one day.
I would come back!

Aside from completely giving us the wrong pizza, this place was decent. We ended up with some chicken Alfredo pizza and it was average. The cheese bread was NOT good and seemed to be made with wheat flour (dense and gutty). The meatballs were meh. The best part was the wings. Good flavor and the dipping sauce was a great touch.
Overall a solid pizza choice, but nothing that will blow your mind.

Ordered a box of pizza to be delivered to my hotel. The lady over the phone told me it would be 30 minutes. 45 minutes later, nothing had arrived so I called an was told it would be another 5 minutes. 10 minutes later the delivery man calls me to tell me he’s a minute away. Really didn’t like playing cat & mouse for my pizza.
The pizza was good plus they are open till late. (2am on sat night) next time I think I will dine in.

This review isn’t for a dine-​in experience. I ordered delivery since I’d just gotten to the hotel after a long day of flying. The front desk agent offered me a menu and I took it to my room.
I placed an order for half a Chicken Alfredo pie and a Tres Leches for dessert. The lady told me it could take 30 – 45 mins and in exactly 33 mins I got a phone call from the delivery guy who was downstairs!
The Chicken Alfredo was very savory. Chicken was a plenty, tender and well seasoned. Lots of spinach and that was fantastic!
The Tres Leches was good but didn’t necessarily blow my mind.
I would definitely order from Mike’s again and if time permits, take the walk over the bridge to have a meal at the restaurant.
