5⁄5 café con leche 3⁄5 food, it was okay Café con leche here is nice and strong! I thought this place was okay, but another Unilocaler said that this was the best breakfast they had in their life… it wasn’t mind blowing. The waiter was super super nice, so pleasant and kind. I had the eggs Benedict and my friend had the vegetarian omelette, all were okay.

One of my top two favorite brunch places in all San Juan. The food here is very good and they make a red velvet pancake that is awesome. The staff are super friendly and even help us learn a bit of Spanish :) Their café con leche is probably the best I’ve had anywhere. It’s not a complicated drink but I just like this one best.

Great place! I went there to have my birthday brunch with friends and the food was amazing. Everyone ate their food(leaving nothing out the utensils on the plate) and the prices were reasonable. I strongly recommend making a reservation because it is a small place and can get packed quickly.

Experienced a phenomenal breakfast place with our CouchSurfing host. Glad we’re staying with a foodie! You can tell it’s a popular placed just based on how many people were already eating there when we arrived. Started brunch with coffees(and one beermosa) all around. My first time trying a beermosa and I have to say, I kind of liked it! Definitely a change of pace from drinking mimosas but I do like beer and I do like orange juice… so it was a perfect combination. I didn’t keep the receipt, so I can’t give accurate prices for each menu item we tried but I will provide estimates. Risotto Special($ 15) — Approximately a cup and a half serving of WONDERFUL, mouthwatering risotto. It’s loaded with butter, which makes it irresistible. Cubano Sandwich($ 10-$ 12) — Fattier than my husband would have liked it… but if you’d have asked me, I would’ve given it a thumbs up! The buns were also cooked in butter… which is just how buns should be cooked, in my opinion. Meat appropriately for just-right bites.

I ordered their Tortilla, which is an omelet lightly sprinkled with onions, peppers, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese. It’s was good. The dish came with some sautéed potatoes and French bread toast. Presentation was nice and simple. The service was decent. Had to ask for multiple things, but it was pretty packed and I didn’t see many other servers.

This was great little place for brunch we visited. We ordered the red velvet pancakes with a side of bacon and eggs. We also ordered passion fruit mimosas. The place is tiny and stays crowded, but it was well worth the wait. The food was excellent. When we visit PR again, we will eat here again. The best breakfast we had on the island.

Coffee: 5⁄5. The lattes and cappuccinos were fantastic. Service: 5⁄5. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They consistently checked on us and made sure we were taken care of. Food: 3.5÷5. The food was fresh and cooked well, just for our personal palates we would have preferred more seasoning and flavor. Drinks 3⁄5. We had the bloody pig. It was OK. A little watered down and thin(used more hot sauce and less tomato juice). We would love to return here for delicious coffee and interactions with the great servers.

Very tasty, good spot to get some breakfast or brunch. The mocha and espresso was amazing, I had to buy a pound bag of it.

Loved this place! Even the water tasted great! We decided to give it a try based in the reviews we read in Unilocal.Thank you Unilocal! This place has such a positive vibe. It’s like you just know you are going to like everything you order. All the tables inside were occupied so my group of 4 sat at the counter. JACKPOT! Behind the counter was Tamara and she jumped right in and gave us the lowdown on the breakfast favorites. She was friendly, engaging and made us excited about the menu. I wanted a Bloody Mary and she suggested I try their version of one called the Bloody Piggy. It had small pieces of bacon in the drink. You heard me right, BACON! I liked it so much that I had 2 of them! Mmmm! We ordered a breakfast of eggs, bacon and bread. Now, I know you are probably wondering how exciting can this breakfast really be? It was so good! They do all their baking on the premises. The bread alone tastes amazing! Just the right amount of crunch when they toast each side and it is so fresh! Our eggs were cooked just the way we ordered them as was the bacon. Although we didn’t try the Red Velvet pancakes this morning, the banana pancakes were really good. Even the drinks were great from the fresh squeezed lemonade to the Americano Black coffees do the latte. My wife and brother even commented on how fresh tasting the water was! We ordered a second serving of bread and while we waited we chatted about how lucky the owner of this place is to have such great employees. Tamara was visiting tables and answering questions and striking up small conversation. The other servers were focused and serving up food with a smile. We later learned that Tamara is the owner. No wonder the place is so awesome! The food is worth every penny because you will enjoy everything. We’ll be back there tomorrow morning for more goodness!

This place is tiny but even with a line to get in I have never had to wait long. Amazingly friendly staff, and really great service. Get everything on the menu… We have eaten here about four times and every time we try something new is exceeds our expectations. My favorites have been the red velvet pancakes and the brunch pizza.

This place was packed so I kind of had high hopes. It was actually pretty mediocre. I had 3 huge pancakes with a tiny side of potatoes. I liked the potatoes better than the overwhelming pancakes. My boyfriend had a cubano and he wasn’t very impressed. Our server was such a nice guy though and was super attentive.

The food was amazing. We ended up finding this hidden gem on our last day. Met the owner of the restaurant and she was the sweetest. We discussed her red velvet pancakes and she convinced me to have the pizza brunch. The mimosas were good.

Coffee is amazing! Mimosa was good! Extremely good service. The gentleman serving was so polite. I don’t speak Spanish but he explained the menu so well that we knew what we wanted and of course Unilocal helped! Egg Benedict’s and red velvet is super good.

The restaurant itself is located not really in a touristy location which was fine because it was worth going to. It was a clean restaurant. Seating was a little tight and intimate but there was enough room to walk around. It looked like a great place for families because there were lots of kids there. I had breakfast sandwich which was really good and my date had red velvet pancakes which were really good but a little too rich for my taste. Didn’t offer an English menu. Not sure if they had one but the waitress gave recommendations. There was a bite of confusion with coffee and latte. The service was great and everyone was friendly there.

I’ve been going to Café Marquesa for years. It used to have fresh bread and genuinely prepared desserts and pastries. I went specifically for the eggs florentine. The last few times I’ve gone the owners have probably changed and the quality is not the same. The location is good, the coffee is good, but the quality of the food is not up to par.

Easily the best breakfast I’ve had in PR, and it happened just a couple days ago. Highly recommended. The egg tortilla was filled with quality vegetables, and the potatoes although very salty had an interesting flavor. It was served with warm baguette. The Sarah(the red velvet pancakes) were very sweet, filling but also very satisfying. They were served with a fruit cup that was worth its own expense: kiwis, strawberries and pineapple. None of that weird mellon stuff that a fruit cup normally implies. Finally, the cappuccino was done right. Not too hot(hello starbucks) so that it can be consumed right away. Nice crema, not too much foam. Skip the hotel breakfast, go, and thank me later.

Had breakfast here! Hubby had the Eggs Benedict and I had the French Toast, both were delicious! Would definitely visit again, it was a short walk from the Marriott we’re staying at in Condado. Definitely give this place a try:)

The coffee is amazing, specifically the lattes. I had Javier as a server and barista, he was helpful, fun, and obviously cared about my experience and what I thought(did you see the amazing latte art he did in my pics?). I went with Javier’s suggestion, the red velvet pancakes. I had been debating, because I know myself and I don’t particularly love pancakes, but I do really like red velvet cake. After he suggested it, I decided to try it. They were soft and moist and I believe people that like pancakes would probably really like them. I’m not a huge fan of that sour-ish taste that comes with cream cheese frosting and this definitely had that, so while I didn’t particularly like them, I know it was because of my preferences, not something with the food per say. I like to try new things sometimes and see if maybe my tastes have changed(hey, at one time I hated guacamole… now I love it, worth the try right?). So, if you love pancakes and you like that little bit sour taste of cream cheese frosting, this is the plate for you. The service is great, the café is cute, and the coffee is soooo good… I intend to go back and try something that fits my tastes a little bit better… one of the egg dishes probably and of course another latte!
