Cafe DU Gothard

Das moitié-​moitié Fondue war das Beste, welches ich je in der Scheiz gegessen habe.
Sehr aufmerksame und höfliche Bedienung und es gab sogar noch einen kostenlosen amuse-​bouche mit Rohschinken.
Auch die Weinempfehlung aus der Region Fribourg war sehr passend.
Vorsicht: wer Laktose-​intolerant ist oder Blutgruppe A hät, sollte leider auf diese Gaumenfreude verzichten, da es deswegen zu sehr langen (+4h) Blähungen kommen kann.
Geschmacklich hat sich diese Unannehmlichkeit jedoch aufs äusserste gelohnt.
Merci beaucoup a Babette, die uns wunderbar beraten und bedient hat, eine richtige Gastgeberin.
Die Atmosphäre sehr gemütlich und eine Flasche Wein zum mitnehmen (über die Gasse) zum halben Preis.
Ein Supertip für jeden, der mal was anderes als den Gerber-​Standart möchte.

Very nice restaurant in the center of Fribourg. Nice atmosphere, friendly service and very nice and traditional Fribourg cuisine.

if you’re looking for a place to taste the best of the Fribourg cuisine, don’t hesitate and head to the Gothard !
The place is typical yet modern, with cheerful staff, almost as if you were dining at your friends table !
Of course you can try the traditional Vacherin Fondue with potatoes, but you also need to try the other typical dishes !
You may want to book for a group, but if you’re only a bunch of people, you can just show up and ask for a table, they will try their best to find a spot for you to eat !

Superambiente. So richtig nett, keine Tourifalle, Original! Wir hatten das Basis Fondue mit gutem Weißwein und natürlich… einem Kirschwasser dazu, nicht danach !
Ein Resto, so gut, dass ich einmal wieder kommen muß ! Die Bedienung ist resolut und daher gerade so sympathisch. Wer auch originale Kost und Ambiance steht ist hier richtig, wer es gediegen und lauschig mag eher nicht.

Nice, artistic, and most typically Fribourgois restaurant in town. The service is very friendly, by ladies who have worked there for decades. Good fondue.

Certainement le meilleur endroit à Fribourg pour y manger une fondue au vacherin !
On sait y recevoir, et cela fait toujours plaisir de voir un restaurant qui met si bien en avant les produits du terroir !
