American Dream Diner

Un super resto! La décoration et le thème du Diner rétro sont jolies et dépaysantes, et le service est rapide et avec le sourire. En ce qui concerne la nourriture, les burgers sont excellents et pleins de saveurs, et les apéritifs sont également délicieux (les frites de patates douces ainsi que le fish n chips sont un must)! Le prix est également très raisonnable pour Genève. Dans l'ensemble, un lieu à absolument tester!

Dinner en plein cœur de Genève ! On se serait vraiment cru dans les années 50. Le lieux est authentique et nous avons été agréablement surpris de la quantité (et de la qualité) des options véganes disponibles.

Les portions sont généreuses et les plats sont bons.

Chouette découverte dans le centre de Genève. Large choix de plats avec alternatives végétarienne et vegan! Les frites de patates douces sont incroyables!!

Si vous avez envie de vous retrouver dans l'ambiance d'un "Diner" au bord de la "Route 66" quelque part aux USA, que ce soit pour le cadre ou ce que vous aurez dans votre assiette... C'est vraiment l'endroit que je recommande en région genevoise !

Super Dinners sur Genève. La déco nous plonge dans les Us des années 50. La carte des mets et boissons est variée. La cuisine est correcte ainsi que les prix.

Options pour les végétariens : Plat vegie.

Je connais ce restaurant de puis mon jeune enfance. Et il est toujours aussi accueillant et délicieux, on y trouve tout ce qui vous feraient plaisir, avec des prix abordable pour tous. J'adore son style américain avec les vielles machines à soda et musique de l'époque. On peut manger dehors avec son chien également. Et je remercie la serveuse qui nous a servis. Elle était excellente, elle nous a donné de l'eau pour le chien et servi avec amour. Le restaurant était nickel lors de notre visite et le personnel super sympa. Et dans ce restaurant vous pouvez également faire votre shopping à l'étage il y a des produits américains. Merci beaucoup continuez comme ça moi je reviendrais et continuerai à faire découvrir ce restaurant à

In the Sunday evening, I just desperately wanted to have a American dinner so I found this place. Amazing decoration of old American style as well as the food. The cheese burger was more than what I expected. The beef was juicy and tasty with the vegetables. The chips were little bit dry but with a big quantity. Worth to mention that the vanilla milkshake was perfect and exactly what I’m looking for.

Being from the U.S. it was very interesting to see this place here in Geneva. The poppers were tasty but the food portions in general were quite small. The cheese fries were subpar but they had a nice chipotle mayo sauce that you can dip them in so that helped. Ordered a Reece’s shake but it turned out to be a peanut butter one rather than a vanilla one with Reece’s in it. Overall, probably one of the best places to get American food in Geneva, but still not completely ‘American’.

This diner looks like what you would find on the highway in the 50’s. Appropriately so, because this place’s specialty is HIGHWAY ROBBERY!
40 euros for an over cooked burger with a dry-​as-​bone bun, a side of sweet potato fries that were more oil than potato, and a teeny tiny, flat root beer float.
The service was bad, too. Our order came out little by little and in no particular order. The waitress was barely polite and seemed like she would rather die than smile. At one point she brought out a plate of chili when we had clearly ordered the cheese sticks. She then proceeded to say «No, you said chili…». Then she checked her note pad and saw that he was right. (Even so!)
Anyway, you can get a much better deal in Geneva by just sticking with a sure bet: McDonald’s or Burger King. It will cost you a fraction of what this place is asking for and you’ll surely enjoy your meal!

Ambiance USA Diner ! On y retrouve vraiment l’ambiance américaine à la Johnny Rocket.
Les «starters» valent le détourent. Les burgers aussi, bien qu’un peu en-​dessous d’un Holy Cow ou Ingelwood.
Mention spéciale pour les milkshakes, servis comme aux US avec le pot du mixer rempli du surplus.

Les burgers sont bons, les frites avec la sauce au fromage me rappelle mon enfance délicieux cette sauce, par contre niveau prix c’est un peu cher et c’est dommage qu’il n’y aie pas de menu et qu’on doive commander les frites à part

One puny coleslaw, ognion rings, 1 cheeseburger, 1 drink, 1 malt shake: 50 bucks
Here it is:
–The coleslaw, tasted like: mold.
–The oignon rings were cookie-​cut industrial rubber squids straight from Aligro freezers.
–The burger should not have had the word «meat» nor «American» anywhere near it. It was some thin, dry kind of patty with an orangy powder to hide whatever it was really made of and/​or its expiration date.
–The only thing I can vouch for is the malt shake (and décor) but only because I’ve not found another place that makes them around here yet.
Just hope the Hygiene Commitee or Flavor Police go there asap and close it down definitely; but popular boycott will work soon enough.
People, not all consumers are stupid: shiny glitzy red and white tabletops catch our eyes, but our mouths can tell when it’s bland cheap frozen produce from across the border that you multiplied by 12. Fooled me once, never again.

Une micro salade, des oignons frits, 1 cheeseburger, 1 boisson, 1 shake: 50 Francs
Le coleslaw (salade de chou) avait le goût de: moisi !
Les ognion rings: tout droit des congélateurs d’Aligro.
La viande du burger: tout droit des packs famille surgelés de supermarchés budget avec une douteuse poudre orange pour cacher le vrai goût de la «viande».
Le malt shake: excellent.
Si vous devez absolument y aller, optez pour un shake au malt et allez au MacDo après; moins cher, plus frais et meilleur!
J’espère que le controle d’hygièné, ou la police des consomnateurs passeront bientôt pour le fermer définitivement; de toute façon, le boycott populaire y parviendra.

La viande manqué d’ASSAISONNEMENT! Une canette de coca cherry zero: 6frs!!!
Un burger coûte minimum 15.50frs sans frites ni salade. Un extra (oignons grillés à la place d’oignons crus): 2frs.
Serveur très agréable malgré le fait qu’il ait omis de nous demander quelle cuisson pour la viande (pas assez cuite pour moi), ni le type de fromage dans le cheeseburger (sur la carte il y le choix entre cheddar et Swiss cheese). Oui le burger est XXL mais franchement il manqué de goût et c’est trop cher pour ce que c’est! Bref, une fois pour tester ok deux fois c’est se faire arnaquer!

ÇA Y EST, THIS IS THE END. Il a fallu retourner sur Genève pour enfin découvrir un restaurant avec une vraie ambiance et une vraie carte de diner américain. J’ai encore les papilles qui frémissent en écrivant cet avis. Tout d’abord, les cheese fries, mon dieu, ont été les meilleures de toute ma vie. Quand au burger, je me penche vers celui au poisson pané. Un délice tout simplement pour un sandwich faisant la taille d’un Frisbee (je vous laisse imaginer ma tête en le voyant arriver)
Cependant, la 5eme étoile n’est pas méritée, après m’être penchée sur le cheesecake en dessert, celui ci me semble parfaitement industriel, recouvert de chantilly en tube et pas goûteux pour un sou.
Quand aux serveurs? Accueillants et disponibles, avec un patron très gentil ! La salle est propre malgré le monde qui s’y bouscoule!

Un bon fast food de qualité (en tout cas meilleur que les chaînés multinationales) à la décoration 50’s qui rappelle la belle époque ou les USA étaient un pays respectable qui faisait rêver…
Leurs milkshakes sont délicieux !

I was hoping to find the holy grail of burgers in Geneva but unfortunately, this in not it. Although the portions are good, the meat was bland and the bun was not great either. The cole slaw was tasteless and watery. Don’t think I will be coming back anytime soon!

I’m very happy that we FINALLY have a diner in Geneva!!!
This place hasn’t done much advertisement yet as it has opened mid September 2013 (less than a month ago). We passed in front and that’s how we discovered this place.
As mentioned in reviews before, the diner is part of a well known American and British market in town that exists for years and years.
Decoration:
The deco is AMAZING and much better than most of the diners in the US. It does remind a lot like diners from the Hollywood movies and it gives a pleasant feeling that you are part of something great! I can only give ALL the stars to the decoration and the fact that they made an amazing place in a short space and there’s even one table for 9 people that is very comfortable.
Service:
Service is really great! A blond lady and an older guy were TOP, also another young guy who didn’t seem to speak French! They were really running everywhere and helping and talking to everyone, even if it was quite chaotic and hard to control the people queuing. I’ve realized that in Switzerland people are less used to queue, in the US we saw many restaurants where people just queue and wait calmly, which was not in the case while I was at the American Dream Diner and people were quite agitated. They maybe need to create a hostess system where they take note of the name of the people queuing and who’s first. People were lost but it seems it’s just not part of the local culture to queue for a restaurant.
Food:
OKAY, this is the reason why I give 4 starts. Food wasn’t great. I had many better burgers before, not only in the US but also in Geneva. Burgers are HUGE, this can be a good point for the ones with big appetite, however, they are not tasty. Meat is blend, sauce is not special at all, bread is not as fresh as it could be. It’s not bad, but it’s not amazing either. Although, the fries with cheddar were actually pretty amazing. We also tried the coleslaw as everyone was having a free sample when they arrive at the diner (which we though it was very kind of them and everyone appreciated) and the coleslaw was really good too, quite healthy and without much sauce and without being so sweet as many others, but it was DAMN GOOD!
They also give us nice candies with the bill and it was sweet and yummy =)
Overall, the experience was good and we can’t wait to go back to try the hotdogs and milkshakes as the place is pretty awesome! If the burgers were amazing, we would never leave this place. If we could get the burger from INGLEWOOD or BLAQK and have the place of American Dream Diner, it would be a great combination… but guess we can’t have it all!
I would also love if they had American breakfast (at least on week-​ends), that would be FREEEEAKING AWESOME and there’re not many other places in town to compare the quality either haha… not like burgers where Geneva has some pretty decent places already.
