What a lovely place! We enjoyed delicious pizza, and we met the owner. He is a kind, generous and funny man. The pizza was amazing, and they have a waiter who speaks English.

This was perhaps my tenth visit to La Trattoria. We went only for dessert — the tiramisu — which my wife loves. Tonino, the owner, sat with us while we enjoyed our dish and chatted with our 18-year old grandson. This restaurant can get crowded but I’ve rarely had to wait more than 10 minutes. They seem to be able to squeeze people in. In a previous visit, I was the host for about 30 people and everyone loved it. Don’t miss this place.

This is probably the best Italian place outside of Italy… Awesome bruschetta and pasta. The wine of the casa(blanco & rosso) is totally worth it. The prises might seem high, but the sizes will justify the price! So going back tomorrow!

This 5x visitor loves that at every visit the people are the same… the food wonderfully consistent… and the old world charm still oozes from every beam. A favorite that’s hard to trade in for an alternative is their penne Siciliana — gooey cheese… perfectly cooked pasta… tasty tomato sauce and a little kick of spice at the end to keep you honest. If I’m feeling healthy, I’ll start with a mêlée or arugula salad. Portions are good-sized for all options so either plan to carbo-load or skip a few meals before going so you can *enjoy* it all. Some day I’ll have to take the leap and try their other pastas(the bolognese /carbonara /lasagna all look amazing) and pizzas — I have no idea what the tables next to me ordered but it’s taking every ounce of willpower to keep from reaching over and asking to taste a slice! This little spot by the train station will always have a warm spot in my heart and I will absolutely visit whenever I can. Hopefully it will continue to be here years from now so my niece & nephew can be part of the experience as well!

The best Sicilian penne in town, full stop. I’ve been going to this restaurant for more than 20 years and this dish has been the one constant except this one time when I arrived for a late lunch and they served me a soggy Sicilian penne, probably left over as they couldn’t be bothered to cook from scratch. Prices are another constant and very reasonable. The ambience is loud and crude, and the owner, Tonino can be an arrogant prick, but all worth the hassle if you are there to enjoy the food.

La Trattoria est un restaurant pas très grand par la taille mais qui vaut le détour. Ce restaurant est là depuis au moins 15 ans et les pizzas et pâtes sont toujours aussi bonnes. La spécialité, du moins celle sur laquelle nous nous accordons avec mes amis, est les penne sicciliennes, ces pâtes sont un parfait mélange de saveur et quantité, bien gratinées avec une bonne quantité de fromage sans être noyées dedans non plus. Les pizzas, cuites au four à bois, sont délicieuses aussi mais pas forcément les meilleures ni les plus grandes de Genève. Je suggères d’éviter les soirs de grande foule(Vendredi et Samedi) car pour être franc les serveurs né sont pas toujours les plus agréable et lorsque le service ralentit à cause de la foule, ils né vont pas forcément améliorer la soirée.

Superbe restaurant plein du midi au soir, ont mange, ont se goinfre, et ont se délecte, de tout, les antipasti, et surtout la spécialité locale les pennes maison: aubergines, mozzarella, sauce tomate, et au four et à l’attaque …ca a l’air simple mais cela vaut le détour. Teléphonnez au préalable car il y a beaucoup, beaucoup de monde. Tonino le patron est au top. L’italie est omniprésente et très bien représenté merci tonino.
