The food here is quite good– as always at an Italian restaurant I ordered Tagliatelle au saumon, and will give it 3 stars. The pasta was just a bit undercooked, which fortunately is the way I like it. The lighting on the ceiling is alienesque and interesting. The three ladies sitting around the table with me apportion 4 of their 5 stars to the pizza they are eating. In short, of you find yourself at the Geneva train station, or perhaps lost in Pacqui and hungry for Italian, head to San Marino on Rue de Lausanne.

This place was not our original choice but we stumbled onto it inadvertently. To be honest walking in off the street took us by surprise. The pizza oven was at cooking temperature and the ambience and cleanliness got us over the line. We all chose pizzas and they were all very good. The size of the pizzas was hearty as we are all big eaters. The service was excellent and it is certainly a restaurant that I would recommend. Our first meal away from our hotel and it did not let us down. Nothing left on our plates at the end of our meal is always a good sign! Yep don’t procrastinate lock this little gem in.

Close to the station, this Italian Restaurant offers a wide range of food. Their oven for pizza is fired by wood and pizza tastes very good. I had a tomato-mozzarella salad as a starter and this was a good choice, too. The staff is friendly and attentive.
