Restaurant Côté Lac

My first time at RCL after hearing so many good things for many years. Well’ I’m happy to report that RCL lived up to all my expectations. Pleasant service by the waiter and owner. Two of us started with the salat mixta – impressive mix of greens and pickled and fresh veggies. Other co-​pilot started with the arugula and parmesan salad. That, too was excellent.
For mains, two if us had the risotto frutti de mar while other had the filet de perche with frites in the butter-​cream sauce. The risotto portion was large and was just what I needed after a day on the slopes – nice assortment of seafood in a tomato base. I had a bite of the perch and it too was excellent (i will order that when I return).
No deserts for any of us, but I had an excellent calvados while my friends were given, free of charge, a lemonchello.
It’s not cheap, but it’s very good AND it’s open on Sunday b

Really nice plate of Carbonara Spaghetti for dinner. Menu was very easy to follow (English sub) and lots of various choices (steak, pasta, pizza, fondu, seafood, etc). Nothing’s cheap in Geneva… And this place is no exception. I’d recommend a try if in the area and needing a quick quality meal.

Fliets de perches, salades, viandes, pizzas, pates… Un large choix, un prix assez raisonnable. Déco intérieure bof (meme si c’est mieux qu’avant.) mais tellement agréable de profiter de leur grande terrasse dès qu’il fait beau temps! CERTAINS serveurs sont moyennement aimable. dommage!

Nice outdoor patio easily seats 100 people. No problem getting a table at 8pm on a Thursday evening – busy but not full. I ate here while the rain poured down around me surrounded by locals enjoying pizzas, pasta and a wide variety of entrée sized salads.

This was a great discovery behind the Grand Kempinski Hotel. It’s not just a pizza place. Great spaghetti bolineese and Veal with curry. Great service and reasonably priced (for Geneva).
