We enjoyed a very relaxing, very tasty afternoon tea. Since we don’t eat meat we asked that they change the ham and chicken sandwiches to vegetarian choices. That was no problem. I was overwhelmed by the amount of food per person that we would be eating at 3 in the afternoon. Since I was going out to dinner at 7 pm I asked if we could take home what we didn’t finish. They were happy to prepare boxes for our leftovers. I would like to go again. Next time instead of dinner rather than before dinner.

Wife and I grabbed brunch here this morning on our last day in Geneva. Service was really friendly. Prices were kind of high but you get wonderful ambiance and location overlooking the lake. We got some eggs, pastries, and crepes. The crepes were okay. Wife liked the eggs. Overall not a bad place.

Great location, atmosphere, staff and food. Came here with a large group, so we decided to do a tasting menu. Everything was great, except for the escargot app, it tasted earthy to me. I love the crusty cheese lollipops that they bring when you first sit down. Very creative! We had three different types of «fishes»(which they showed us before they were cooked and filleted perfectly) and Chateaubriand steak. Leave room for dessert, too! The staff is very nice and there is something funny about them. Very entertaining and not stiff by an means. Tea time looks wonderful, too!

Quiet, elegant(yet not stuffy) French salon décor overlooking the lake. Solid modern French food. Nice deserts and wine options. Nice service. Usual Geneva high prices.

My review is for the afternoon tea that is served at Windows. During the week the tea is from 3−6pm, and on weekends starting at noon. Be sure to book in advance as this place can get busy. The atmosphere at Windows is perfection. The floor to ceiling windows over looking the Jet D’eau automatically bring a brightness and romance to the spot, even on an overcast day. The interior is cosy and inviting. The afternoon tea is 43CHF per person, and includes your choice of tea, five finger sandwiches, scones w/double Gruyère crème and heated homemade jam, and a variety of bite sized scrumptious sweets. This is definitely not a light meal, thankfully I did not have any lunch beforehand, and I didn’t eat much for dinner that evening. I was stuffed. You could easily share the one tea between two people. It is served on a beautiful multi tiered silver tray. The tea menu is quite large, and there are many interesting selections to choose from. The tea was amazing, and the food was scrumptious. The scones come out fresh from the oven. They were the best scones I have had! I would come back just for a pot of tea and their menu option of a plate of 3 scones served with the crème and jam. They were by far the highlight of the entire selection. The service was OK. However, our waitress at the end had ended her shift, and we never seemed to get anyone else after that, so it took a bit to flag someone down at the end. I am glad that I had dressed nicely, as everyone in the restaurant was wearing business suits. I would have definitely felt out of place in jeans and a t-shirt.

Windows is an excellent chef’s restaurant ideally located for the view of the famous Geneva’s water jet. The restaurant’s floor is a few steps higher than the street giving an unobstructed view of the lake. They have an excellent carte and a choice of mouth watering set-price menu. The downside is that set-menu must be chosen for the whole table only. Service is excellent, sommelier is very knowledge on their good wine list and we got constant attention. Total was about 130CHF per person including wine which is actually quite decent in Geneva!

We were desperately looking for a restaurant open at 3−4pm in Geneva and we stopped at l’Hotel d’Angleterre. They have a really nice inside patio with view over the Leman Lake and the Jet d’Eau. Atmosphere 5⁄5: The atmosphere is perfect. Elegant and quiet restaurant located right next to the Leman Lake. You’re right in front of the Jet d’Eau while you’re eating. This is such a great romantic spot during Dinner time. They also have a great selection of Wine. The Caesars costed 23.- CHF + 10.- CHF extra shrimp. They had a fish at 71.- CHF and a meat starting at 50.- CHF. This was the menu between 3pm to 6pm. Food 3⁄5: I only tried a Caesars Salad with Shrimp(extra charge of 10.- CHF). I was a little bit surprise to see only 3 shrimp when I had my salad. The caesars was good but I had to ask for some extra salad dressing. The bread is excellent and I love the diversity they bring you. Service 5⁄5: Great great service but you pay the price as well for a service like that. The waiter was really careful about any needs I would have during my meal which was great. I overall had a great time there even if the price are high. You get what you pay for between the service, the view, the atmosphere and the food/drinks.
