Very nice selection of wines beers and spirits the menu is rather small with a short man of different sort of populations of olives and vinegars. A lot of panini on this menu I know very well done. Simple does very well here and very well done the menu can also be in English

Open on a Sunday night! And glad to have found it! Wasn’t sure what to expect when categorized as a dive bar– but definitely a hipster vibe of a hangout for locals, which we loved! Reasonably priced pitchers of local beer and menu comprised of paninis, fajitas(for dinner only), and Swiss staples of schnitzel and rösti. Friendly wait staff and no pretentiousness. Very comfortable atmosphere and sorry we didn’t find it sooner!

As a student visiting Lucerne, I can very much say that this is one of the only restaurants that fit my budget, and for very appropriate reasons! Parterre really has a great ambience. They have a few staff members during Sunday night but they’re always friendly and hand you an english menu without delay. First off, the food is delicious. Second, the servings are fairly big. I got full eating the Deer with Potato with pumpkin mix. It was very creamy, tender and juicy. At the same time, the potato with pumpkin mix was a great side to the already delicious deer. For 23.50 Francs, the size and taste of the deer dish are definitely worth it! Would definitely come back!!!

This is a great local place where very few tourists hang out. The service is fantastic, the food is great and they have an English menu available. Be warned, they DONOT accept credit cards. Make sure you stop at an ATM machine before coming here.

We wanted to stay out of the tourist areas of old town and find a meal locally. The food was great and we were the only English speakers in the restaurant. The waitresses were very friendly and provided us an English menu. We had the gazpacho which was delicious and the chicken fajitas. It came to SFranc 60, pretty reasonable around here!

I actually came here once a few years ago for a drink with a friend, and then promptly forgot about it.(Not a reflection on the place at all, which is nice and has a sort of hipster-y vibe.) But thanks to a gift certificate given to my dad, the whole family recently came for breakfast one day — and it’s quickly becoming a staple in the family(breakfast) diet. It’s a decent place for breakfast, and they actually do serve you quite a lot of food. The English breakfast actually comes with a side salad — and by side salad, I actually mean a salad large enough to be a meal on its own. Ham and eggs are good, and ingredients are fresh.

We found this through Unilocal and thought we would try. Very basic interior and there was a pretty good flow of locals through it. We ordered a daily special and a pork steak dish. Both came with asparagus and both meals were very good. My only caution would be that they love their hollandaise sauce and it is very tasty but there is a lot of it. We had wine and dinner for about 58sf. Not bad at all compared to other menus we looked at and it was good. For a good meal with lots of food at a reasonable price, try this place.

Randomly found myself in Switzerland. After walking around Lucern looking for a place to just relax and not pay 20+ chf for a simple meal, came across this awesome find tucked away in a small street. Prices for drinks and food are reasonable, really chill vibe, and mostly locals at this spot. It’s open seating so just grab an open spot. It’s bit off the beaten path but if you’re looking to not pay the tourist prices then you kinda have to get away from touristy areas.

After a long day of sightseeing and walking in Luzern we decided to come here for dinner. We originally thought we’d just eat somewhere lakeside, but it’s a bit pricey and nothing sounded that great. So, we looked on Unilocal and find this place. It is a little off from the city center, by not too far and it turned out to be a great choice! They have English menus and service is very friendly. Also, it has a great relaxed vibe which was a nice change of pace after dealing with the crowds. Oh, and the food was AMAZING! We had the grilled pork steak with asparagus and the special that day. Both were very good, my fiancé and I both agreed it was the best food we’ve had so far in Switzerland and it was a very reasonable price! Do yourself a favor and come here if you’re hungry :)

After a long walk in Luzern in rainy and cold weather, I discovered this spot in the trendy neighbourhood Neustadt… the perfect place for warming up and eating at lunch surrounded by locals! The place has a very cool alternative/vintage vibe. It’s both a local eatery and a spot for watching sport, have a drink, go on internet, shop in the cool vintage shop next door, listen to music in the lounge room or make a private party. Each day they propose 2 menus respectively at 15,5CHF(12EUR) and 18,5CHF(14,5EUR), which include a warm dish such as risotto, veggie meal, etc., and salad, soup, coffee. The portion are generous and fairly priced for the expensive Switzerland. They also have a selection à la carte of soups, paninis, pasta, fajitas, salads. I got the Kürbissuppe which came with bread, and a capuccino. They also serve you a free glass of water. The atmosphere is very laid-off, people, students, family with kids mixing very nicely, smiling back at you if you do so. It’s very cool for eating solo, since you have free wifi and you can sit on the big communal table along with the other people. Just keep in mind that the menu is only in german, and they don’t accept credit card, so cash is mandatory.

sehr gutes Kaffee/Beiz in Luzerns Neustadt.
