We wanted to see Château Chillon and Lake Geneva, so we arranged to stop here on our way to Paris. By American standards this was pretty weak. Very old, but does that make it «charming»?? Tub was incredibly narrow, hard not to get tangled in shower curtain. Several electrical outlets didn’t work. Some of the lights were burned-out. Door difficult to close properly. Staff very nice and helpful, which is perhaps the only redeeming feature. Of the three hotels booked by our agent for our rail journey, this one was the weakest. Some of the old elements were cool, but the room amenities should be up to date, and they weren’t. I would not recommend staying here.

Um ehrlich zu sein, tue ich mir bei diesem Hotel bei der Bewertung sehr schwer. Das liegt zum einem an der Dsikrepanz Schein/Sein und dann am Faktor«gewollt aber nicht gekonnt». Ich werde das aber nun näher ausführen: Positiv ist, dass das Hotel eine Garage hat, um die zu erreichen muss man aber einmal um den Block fahren und ein Mitarbeiter des Hotel muss diese öffnen. Ein Einparken mit SUVs ist nur schwer möglich. Man sollte es besser gar nciht versuchen ;)… Das Hotelportal mit roten Teppich und diversen Schnick-Schnack zewigt, dass das Hotel wohl einmal bessere Zeiten hatte, denn die Zimmer sind muffig, der Balkon klein aber vorhanden, WLAN ist gratis und so frage ich mich — sind es drei oder vier Sterne… Darüber kann man streiten…
