My wife and I ordered sirloin steak, Mixed salad and Goulash soup. It was all fantastic and very well done. I wish they had better deserts as most of them are ice cream. It is also value for money. The price is quite reasonable.

Adorable restaurant, very romantic. We came for our 20 year anniversary celebration and were extremely impressed. The lamb was incredibly good as was the stuffed chicken and dessert. Also a very robust wine list of local and foreign wines.

Definitely our best meal in Murren. Their food is very authentic and homemade, whereas many other restaurants in town use pre made parts of their meals.
Their Rosti is unbeatable. We had Rosti topped with bacon & egg. Mouthwatering to say the least.

The food here is great, but they really need more servers. You’ll end up waiting quite a while for service as there is only 1 waiter who cannot keep up with the typical demand.
Prices are pretty decent, too!

There are not many spots as beautiful as this to sit down after training and hiking and taking a gondola. As the sun set, we enjoyed delicious cheese fondue, beer and salad while enjoying a stunning view of the alps. Nice people, good food.!!

I’ve only eaten here in the winter, when eating dinner outside is mostly out of the question.
They serve overpriced everything compared to what I would expect to pay. Compared to neighboring restaurants, the price is average.
Service-​wise, it’s nothing to call home about.
Stäger-​Stübli is one of not many places in Murren that serves fondue. It will be obvious when you walk in the door; the cheese stank is overwhelming (ly good).

Sehr nettes Personal, guter Vorspeisensalat mit frischem Brot gereicht. Hauptgang sehr gut zubereitet. Nette Gartenwirtschaft. Gerne wieder!

The restaurant has more outdoor seating than indoor. During the off season, there is only one chef and one waitress. The service is not very slow but I certainly think they can use one extra staff. The coffee is good. As always, the bread you can get anywhere in Switzerland is much better than anything you can get in the US. The menu is very focused and you have quite a few to choose. Although the town of Murren has a great view of the Alpine glaciers, but you only can watch people passing by in this restaurant. After a long day in the mountains, their food made me very happy.
