Blink and you will pass right by this one man mini market and grill, as it is set back into the building a bit from the main pedestrian street. During the summer it is easier to spot as they have tables out door to sit, during the winter there are only three tables on the inside, that everyone sits around, even next to strangers. Another clue you have come across this place are the three large chalkboard menu’s on the outside, one devoted to their salads, another to their vast burger list, and the other for everything else. I have had this place bookmarked to try for sometime, ever since I heard they serve fish and chips. It is not common to find places in Switzerland that serve good fish and chips, so when you find a good one, it is a treasure find. My husband and I had a craving for fish and chips which is why our stomachs led us here. As the place was crowded we befriended a stranger and shared his table with him. The owner was friendly and let us bring our dog in the cramped space as well. We waited while the owner fried us up some fresh chips and fish, and I watched him make the tartar sauce by hand. It was a good thing we were hungry, because the plates were heaping with yummy food. The fish and chips were the best I have had in Switzerland, and the tartar sauce made my all time top 5 favourite sauce list. I will definitely be coming back to try one of the yummy looking burgers. It also helps that the service is friendly, the owner also speaks English which is a bonus, and he is very proud of his special little place. He was sharing with us that most of the furniture is from a previous restaurant that was there and is over 100 yrs old. TIP: bring cash as they do not accept credit card here. Note: No alcohol is served here.

An improbable dive on the Lake Leman, with fantastic burgers, friendly patrons and a great jazz soundtrack. You share tables and sit amongst sundry food items and artistic bric a brac, but the burgers are worth it. In case of overflow, one in also allowed to eat in the next door pub, but where’s the fun in that?

Tiny little place and I first visited it walking by, I stopped in to get a bottle of water. I thought it was a deli since they had cases with food, drinks and a store int he back. I didnt even notice they grill and tables until the second time I came with friends who told me about this great burger place… Well, the owner, Luc, was very friendly, he spoke English as well. I ate a cheeseburger with bacon, the burger was VERY good. I would have liked more bacon, it was a Swiss portion of bacon, like half of a slice… this American is used to a few slabs, hanging off the burger so you have to eat the bacon off the edges of the burger first, but this is Switerland… He has a mayo/mustard sauce that he puts on the burger bun bottom, alosn onions raw, so if you dont want onions, tell him first. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked adn the bun is a good American bun… big and seeded! The fries were perfectly cooked and perfectly salted as well, which is odd for these parts… topped off with Heinz ketchup and I was a very happy camper this evening. Definitily stop here for a burger if you are craving one in Nyon. Cheap for Swiss standards as well… a burger, fries ANDCHERRYCOKE(how can i forget that) fro 15.50CHF. The owner mentioned to us twice about his fish and chips, so we are trying them next… I think he thought we were Brits.
