On my way to German class, I saw the marroni stand in front of the Stauffacher tram stop open for the season. Immediately bought a bag and tried eating it, but found:(1) almost every piece was burnt(2) my fingers turned black from the burnt marroni(3) around two thirds were not really edible as they were very burnt(4) it was not easy to crack them open as the shells were stuck and the marroni was dry(5) two of the shells were not crackable as they were very burnt. My German teacher also noted Stauffacher has one of the worse marroni stands in Zurich — that’s quite a bold statement, but I have to say this is the first time I’ve had such bad marroni. Bad enough for me to give it a 1 star(which I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews), but I didn’t want anyone else to spend their good money and time at this stand. In my opinion since his marroni was so bad, he should not be in the business to sell it!
