Very good food. Ordered both the red and green curry with tofu, and found them to be very flavorful and filling. And you could tell they use full fat coconut milk — it was rich and creamy and delightful. Just be prepared for sticker shock — as every place we’ve tried in Zurich just seems so wildly overpriced. But of course the city is already known for being super pricey… Anyway, good food. Enjoy! UPDATE: My partner felt the curries weren’t that great and lacking in vegetables. If you like your food with more veggies, perhaps order something different.

I visited Zurich for a day and was walking around the neighborhood around the train station. I stumbled to this place and just gave it a shot. The food was quite reasonable by my standard. I would not say it is 100% authentic as they served mango lassi, which is of course not Vietnamese food or Thai food. I tried it anyway, and it was quite good. I also had their duck curry, which was not bad either. If I want to be picky, I would say the duck wasn’t fatty enough and therefore a little dry.

Best price/quality ratio Thai restaurant in Zurich! The food was really good, cook is flexible and friendly(he present himself the food) I definitely recommend it! Décor is also nice, with old wood on the ceiling :)

Had a summer roll appetizer, and then the chicken phở. This was actually the first time I’ve had phở(I know, I know) but it was really excellent. Initially I thought it was a little bland but it grew on me. The summer roll was absolutely amazing. The place was empty when I arrived around 6:15 on a Tuesday night, but a couple others rolled in by the time I left. Service was great and the food was hot and good. I would totally go back. Prices were reasonable in comparison to the other options elsewhere. The menu is a tiny bit tacky(pictures of the meals which don’t do them justice) but the place is very nice. Go! You’ll like it.

Bester Thai in Zürich.

The name of the place — Viet Thai Restaurant — says it all. It’s a mix. Big surprise! No Asian restaurant can seem to stick to just one cuisine. I’ll be back for the Viet part, but the Thai aint so fly. For Thai, you’re wasting your time since, within 60 – 90 seconds walking, you could be at Ah Hua, the downright reigning Thai heavy weight champion in Zürich. The panang was oily and bland; lacking sweetness and fishiness, but the chiffonade of fresh lime leaf was a nice touch. The phat see iu was a big loser with very little flavor. What happened? Spring rolls were average. ‘Wan tans’ were supposed to be filled but turned up flat. The peanut sauce served slathered over the chicken skewers was homemade, crunchy and delicious. Now for the Viet: The bún was very good! Traditionally served with fried spring rolls, these were extra crunchy thanks to their rice paper wrapper. The ph, looked great in the menu photo and appears to be served with all the trimmings, so I’ll be going back to give that a whirl phở sho! Service was slow despite low occupancy but very charming. Prices are standard. Interior is cozy but undistinguished. I have to say… with a competitor like Ah Hua right down the street, differentiation might become essential, as in, ditch the Thai and stick to the Viet.
