An amazing place to go with your friends and enjoy dinner! I loved the Tinto Verano! There is no excuse to say«I don’t like what comes with it» because It has over 100 different montaditos. Desserts is the best part! Those chocolate montaditos make me want to go back again. Too bad I was in Madrid only for a month… :(

I loved this place. It is cheap and good. They have mini sandwiches and good drinks for cheap! I would go with my roommates & my friends all the time. I can’t wait to go back to Madrid to go there!

This place isn’t too far from where my daughter is living in the city and while walking around the neighborhood one morning, I decided to stop in for a coffee and something to eat. The place was pretty crowded and the food looked pretty damn good too. I got a nice cuppa and some decent pastries and enjoyed them sitting outside. The place is really nice and I’m sorry that I didn’t have time to go back and eat a bit more. I recommend this place highly. It seems a decent place to chill out and there is free wifi, so you can enjoy coffee or something stronger and surf the net.

What an incredible concept! I’m surprised some enterprising food truck entrepreneur hasn’t jumped on this! 100 mini sandwich options on fresh, piping hot and crispy French baguettes – starting at 1 € each! «Cervecerías» in Spain are beer-centric eateries that serve snacks ranging in size from pinchos(small servings), tapas(shareable portions) and racciones(large shareable portions). This one happens to serve delectable mini subs with fillings like Iberico ham, roasted chicken, pulled pork, etc. The menu is overwhelming but fairly easy to navigate and divided by price. From 1 €-2 € a piece, you order as much as you want and can get a giant mug of draft beer for not much more. The pomegranate/berry cider on tap was delicious. Every table has a pad and paper for easy ordering at the counter. They’ll ask for your name and once your order is ready, pick it up at the window. What really makes Montaditos is the quality of the ingredients. Being one of the cheapest, most satisfying eats in Spain, it’s hard to imagine going to the McDonald’s across the street for a mystery meat meal.

Sure, this place is dirt cheap, especially on Sunday when everything is € 1. How do they even make money? However, my taste buds deserve something better. All the food was cold, the nacho cheese plain, the meat imparted very little flavor. It was a nice experiment, but I enjoy food that satisfies my palate and wallet.

Fight for your right to drink cheaply. The sandwiches are small and none of them were really tasty given the fact for some reason we ended up here like 4 times over 4 days so between my friend and I we ate quite a bit here. But like everyone else has said the booze are cheap so you gets pretty crowded on $ 1 Euro night. If you want to drink cheap and hangout with college age kids this is the place.

I absolutely love this place. € 1 sandwiches served with chips. Great value for students and frugal travelers alike. They have beer on tap as well. Over 100 different varieties of little sandwiches. 3 – 4 will fill you. I recommend any with their grilled veggies! There’s seating inside, but on a nice day it’s great to snag one of their tables on the street. You can also order to go and take them to Retiro Park to enjoy.

I am ABSOLUTELY in LOVE with this place, especially on Wednesdays. Every Wednesday practically everything is 1 euro. They have a variety of sandwiches(100+) that are tiny but can have anything in them. This place is always packed during Wednesdays and most locations don’t have that much seating(except for the one near Plaza Mayor which is 2 levels). The tinto de verano(red wine & lemon soda), clara(beer & lemon soda), and cerveza(beer) are also available by the pint for 1 euro. A side of fries or olives is great to accompany your tintos and sandwiches. I can’t wait to go back to Spain just to go back to this restaurant.

How did we not discover this place sooner? The sangria is superb and there are literally 100 different types of sandwiches varying in price on the menu. My favorite was the one I ordered with crispy onions and focaccia bread. I totally recommend it if you ever visit Madrid. It is a chain with locations throughout the city but the service is fast and the food is tasty.

100 Montaditos is an awesome place if you’re a tourist or living in Madrid and looking for a cheap bite to eat and jarras de cerveza! I spent many wonderful hours at the various Cien’s all over Madrid. It was a great precursor to a night out or good for chilling after work. I took all my visiting friends here too. You can get all the typical Spanish ingredients in all kinds of variations on little sandwiches and if you buy montaditos your beer or clara is cheaper. It’s PACKED on Wednesday’s when there is the 1 euro per montadito night so take this in to account.

oh! How I love Wednesdays! I can’t believe I had to go to the other side of the world to try this amazing commodity! Madrid introduced me to this love of mine. I went on a Wednesday and it was fully loaded as I’m told is the norm due to everything being 1 Euro my bestfriend and I indulged in Sangria’s and a wide variety of bocaditos my fave the fried calamari hands down! The fries are so good and everyone is so friendly you may never what to leave. Now I hope the Miami location is just as brilliant.

Love this place with all my heart. It is the perfect spot to grab a few tinto de veranos or beer and hang out with some good company. The theme of the 100 different types of small sandwiches is also very creative. I really liked the pulled pork with avocado one. I wish I could remember the number, but i dont. The tinto de verano here is the best I had during my trip to Spain. Man, i wonder if they sell that in the states? I still have to look. =)

Love this place! We are SO glad our tour guide directed us here for lunch. It was the perfect place to stop and get a bite to eat. They have both English and Spanish menus. You get a menu and determine what types of food you want, mostly mini-sandwiches. You can choose the bread and then what you want inside. There are a ton of options. Each sandwich is around € 1 to € 2 which is great! The sandwiches come out pretty fast and are accompanied by chips. I was hungry, had 3 and that was perfect. We sat outside in the comfortable outdoor seating that happened to be a bit in the shade. There is also seating inside. I would absolutely go back here again and get those delicious little chicken sandwiches I had. I’m hungry just thinking about them! Oh and for dessert, walk down the hill to Chocolatería San Gines and get some churros con chocolate. Delicious!
