The food and margaritas are delicious and the atmosphere is OK, but the acoustics are terrible. I can hear a couple across the room louder than the person next to me because the architecture is an organic amplifier. I’ve sat in 4 different locations and they all experience this problem. Expect to do a lot of shouting here, listen to some juicy conversations between strangers across the room, and pay a lot extra for Patron. — Get the nachos and salmon tacos — Try various margaritas but the classic is pretty good — Do make a reservation — Don’t expect to smoke inside — Never go to the Burrito Loco next door!

This place is fantastic! The food is a mix of classic Mexican dishes executed to perfection and american adaptations made into high class meals. The place is gorgeous and the overall atmosphere was calm and lovely. The service was great and the food was quick. I got the tortilla soup and the chicken tamales. The soup was spicy and delicious and the tamales were covered in an amazing mole; the mole was one of the best I’ve ever had. This place is a gem and I’d highly recommend it!

Totally recommend! The kindest waiter ever introduced himself first, said he would take care of us for the rest of the night and hell — he did!:-) The best burritos I have ever had, quesadilla was good as well although I’ve had a better quesadilla before, nachos were nicely crispy with cheddar and jalapenos. I also recommend pork verde, chocolate dessert and hot chocolate, which is nicely thick and creamy!:-) They even gave me a dessert on the house because it was my birthday and played a little happy birthday music. I ostatni objednavky byly uzasny, treba slavky s chorrizem i pork verde. :-)

Visiting Prague for the first time I heard excellent reviews about this place so we had to check it out. I’m sooooooo glad we did! Oh my god everything from the freshly made chips and delicious guacamole topped with some queso fresco, the best quesadilla I’ve had in a long time. Let’s not forget the margaritas which were so good I had three, seriously get the Tommys Margarita you won’t be disappointed. I really recommend this place if you’re looking for a tasty meal near old town but hey id travel for a meal this good!

I was seriously skeptical about the reviews I read about Agave on Tripadvisor and Unilocal.I felt like there was zero chance that there could be a great Mexican restaurant in Europe, let alone Prague. I’m here to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food is authentic to Mexican-American cuisine and it is delicious. So good in fact that I went back the next day. I had the California Burrito, the Black Bean Dip, and the Nachos. The Nachos were not that compelling, but everything else was awesome. Highly recommend you try this place.

Not baaaaddd at all. Been traveling for a while and was incredibly home sick for comfort food(I grew up in Los Angeles). I got the quesadilla. Portion was very big, comes with rice & beans and shredded lettuce. Great ambiance, staff was very friendly. If you feel for a change of cuisine to eat, this place is a good option.

Can’t say I thought I’d be eating Mexican food in Prague(especially since I’m from Southern California), but this place was surprisingly pretty darn good. I got the carnitas tacos, and would definitely get them again! Loaded with guacamole and awesome cheese, and a couple good salsas on the side, these tacos hit the spot. If you want a break from Czech food, make your way over here!

Hands down the best place we’ve been to in Prague. Lubos, our bartender/waiter was attentive and friendly. The mango margarita is the best. Definitely a must if you want a fantastic Mexican restaurant with a great atmosphere.

Studying abroad in Europe, it can be a challenge to find a good Mexican place, something I find myself craving all the time. And then, we found Agave. Located near the city center in Prague, Agave is exactly what I needed. The décor inside is very modern and cool and our waiter was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. We started with chips and guacamole and it was delicious and was devoured quickly. It was a good portion for two, but could have fed three, less hungry, people, too. We also started with frozen mango margaritas which were strong, not too sweet and very mango-y. The sugared rim was a yummy touch as well. For dinner, we both got the mushroom quesadillas. They were LOADED with a variety of different mushrooms, creating a very welcome flavor palette and range of textures. On the side was a small serving of rice and beans, very good! The portion was also huge, I got to take home some leftovers for later. My friend is from California and she gave it the stamp of approval, something I’ve seen many other reviewers say. If you’re looking for an excellent Mexican meal abroad, this is the place!

We visited Praha last week from California, and of course after a few days we were craving some Mexican food. I can’t say enough about this restaurant! It’s some of the best Mexican food I’ve EVER had. We had the corn, pumpkin seed and bacon guacamole. AWESOME. Ceviche, pork belly tacos(epic), chorizo tequila mussels(also epic), a California burrito and the chili chocolate dessert with mango(probably the best part!) As if the food wasn’t enough the service was even better. The owner came out a shook hands with us, the manager was our server and made the best recommendations for wine and tequila and food. I wanted to come back but we were only in Prague for 5 days. Such an impressive experience that I would recommend to anyone.

Everything was fantastic. Warm spinach and goat cheese salad was great, pollo tamale was the best tamale I’ve ever had. I told my server, and then chef came out and personally thanked me. Awesome staff, FANTASTIC cocktails, and definitely the best Mexican food you’ll find in Prague.

5 stars all the way. One of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at in Prague. I highly recommend the«turbo» drink. So delicious. For dinner I had the special of fresh cod with tequila flambéed muscles and chorizo. If it’s on the specials you need to order it. The wait staff is so friendly and helpful, the ambience is also dark, cozy and chill.

One of the best burritos I’ve had, period. Sit at the bar and talk to Ryan, he’s an awesome guy and has a unique perspective being American born but having lived in Prague for 6+ years. I would and likely will go back. Be forewarned that they book quickly(2 women came in before me and, despite it being relatively empty, were told it was a 15 – 30 minute wait as reservations seem to fill up starting at 730 or so on weekends). 4 stars because of the limited beer menu. Other than that, fantastic.

The Mexican food at this place is to die for and I’m from Miami, I’ve had my fair share of authentic Mexican food. Order the homemade tamales that they have, they only make a few every day and when they’re gone, they’re gone! They’re absolutely delicious though. The nachos are also house specialty and very authentic. The manager was also very attentive and great. He came by our table a few times to check up on us and make sure everything was to our liking.

I was their only customer on this first snow day in Prague. It was too expensive for what I got, but I think if you went during happy hour, 4−6pm, it would be perfect prices. The carne was delicious.

Great Mexican spot in the heart of Old Town. They have a very upscale and new décor, with a large bar in the middle of the restaurant. My brother and I did brunch here one day and ate at the bar. The bartender was a great guy — extremely nice and friendly. He made us some good margaritas too! I wasn’t sure what to expect when walking into a Mexican restaurant in Prague, but I’m glad we came here as the food was delicious and tasted authentic. I ordered the huevos rancheros which hit the spot — they gave two large tortillas of huevos rancheros — so much food that two people could easily share it. My brother got the veggie omelet and that was also very good. Overall, solid place for brunch and I’m sure their dinner is delicious too, based on the quality of the food.

This place totally deserves their five star average rating. The food is really outstanding. Without a doubt, the best Mexican food I’ve had in Europe. The décor is upscale and comfortable without being pretentious. We had Saturday brunch — chilaquiles and the vegetarian omelette. Black beans! Fresh guacamole! The only thing I’d take points off for is the«hash browns», which were flavorless plain potatoes probably from frozen, and the somewhat slow, albeit very nice, service. Also, we asked to use the Unilocal deal and they said yes, but then forget to take it off the bill(and we didn’t notice until the next day). Oh well. Anyway, if you need a Mexican fix while in Prague, this is the place. Also, they have a little taqueria with burritos to go next door.

Seating: inside or a backyard terrace. No street side seating Service: quick, responsive. Some English. Food: we ordered water, a mango margarita, the Nachos Carnita appetizer, a chicken Tortilla soup and the chimichanga. My wife liked the Mango margarita, I prefer traditional margaritas, which they have. The Nachos appetizer was pretty good. The peppers were not overly hot but there. The cheese was perfect. Made me wonder if there was a real Mexican cook in the kitchen or someone who had spent considerable time in Mexico or the U.S. southwest. The chicken tortilla soup had blue tortilla chips, shredded chicken, cilantro, red pepper, maybe some cumin, radishes, tomatoes, in a chicken broth base. The bowl was brought out with a slice of avocado, the radishes and the sour cream and the soup was poured over it. My wife really loved it. The chimichanga came with sides of pico de gallo and spiced pickle slices. Pretty darn good. Not one of those big gut buster chimichangas but a nice size and the texture of the tortilla wrap was almost like a pastry. Come back: yupp. When we’re here again.

Great staff here. Thy spoke English very well. I was pretty shocked how nice this place was to be honest. It looked like a nice upscale Mexican place in the U.S. Or something. They have a very nice bar and indoor and outdoor seating. The food here was great I had nachos, which were huge and the chicken tacos. Both came out great and if you are craving some good Mexican food, go here.
