It´s a cool place in the centre of Prague. It´s small but it has a very friendly and international atmosphere. It´s usually pretty smokey so I would avoid this place if I was non-smoker. But otherwise it´s perfect place to hang out with friends. Service is excellent. Those who were there know what I am talking about ;-). There are two rooms. The first one with bar is usually more crowded and noiser. The second one is calmer. But I prefer the first one and just to order drinks at the bar. Beer is very good. They have a plenty of liquers. They don´t really cook but they have some of those simple snacks like pickled hermelín. Just don´t order home made lemonades. They usually don´t have them even if they are on the drink list. And as I found out, for example the lemon lemonade is just lemon with water. So this place is not for lemonade lovers :-) All and all I like this place and it´s always fun to go there.

I love this place. It is a lovely, smokey dive of a bar. A little expaty, a little local, a lot of fun. The bartenders are hip and cool, the regulars are nice and accepting. All in all it is a great place to waste an evening chatting it up and having plenty of drinks.

Incredibly smokey and quite small place in the centre with a good choice of drinks and snacks(like a burger or meat pie) for a decent price and with nice service. A lot of English-speaking visitors around, and in the evenings the bar gets crowded. The atmosphere is noisy, but the place has its charm.

This was my favorite bar in Prague. The bartender were really cool and the patrons awesome. I went to this bar twice during my trip to Prague and met new people both nights. It’s a good mix of ex-pats and locals all of whom are pretty friendly. They also have some pretty cheap mixed drinks so if you’re more in liquor than beer this is a good place to go.

I Love this Place! By far my favorite bar in Prague, it is the perfect place to just relax and grab a drink with friends. The atmosphere is very charming and relaxing, and has a sort of early 20th century charm. The staff is extremely friendly and the drinks are amazing. The area is great too; within walking distance to old town square and other attractions without being over crowded with tourists or over priced because of them. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Prague. It’s a great spot for expats!

Best bar in town! Always a lively crew of people in the bar ready to have some fun. Great place for ex-pats and native Czech alike. The bar tends to attract a lot of young people, so prepare yourself for a lively evening!

As the previous reviewers have described, this is the perfect, local, hole-in-the-wall bar to meet locals and expats. I’ve met people from the UK, Egypt, Brazil, Scandinavia, the US, and Slovakia, as well as plenty of Czechs from the neighborhood and across the country. Not only are the people diverse in terms of nationality, but you’ll meet people from all walks of life – artists, actors, writers, teachers, independent business owners. This is also a dog-friendly bar, for fellow canine lovers. The drinks are cheap, well-mixed, and the owner actively looks to expand the liquor options. The music mix is put together by the owner, and is an interesting and eclectic mix, and is always kept low enough to allow conversation. It’s not fancy, and it doesn’t need to be. Instead of using glitter, ridiculous prices, and a contrived theme to draw in customers, Bar No. 7 relies on the friendly atmosphere and service. If you’re a tourist visiting Prague, or have recently moved there, the owner(and everyone else, too) have maps and advice on what the best tourist sites to visit, and where to get the best food. Almost everyone there speaks very good, if not native, English, and are always excited to share their love for Prague. You never know quite who you’ll meet, and your bank account will certainly thank you later. Bar No. 7 is definitely one of the best, laid-back spots in town. *Disclaimer: I am friends with the owner of the bar. However, I’m usually not a fan of going out somewhere and paying more money for a weaker drink. Bar No. 7 is somewhere I’m always happy to frequent when I’m in Prague because it’s just a great place to relax and meet people. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.
