I only came to this McDonalds since it’s centrally located in Prague and has free wifi and electrical outlets. Like other McD’s on Europe, the McCafe is quite nice and serves drinks in real glasses and cups! There is a fee to use the WCs(i.e. bathrooms), but the turnstile was broken when I was there. Otherwise you can use the voucher(keep the printed receipt!) and use it towards the purchase of your Big Mac, fries, coffee, whatever.

What can I say? It’s McDonald’s. in Prague. They serve Big Macs like every other McD, they just speak a different language. We had just landed after overseas flight, not feeling adventurous in our dining pursuits until we had slept, so this settled on here. Nothing different, nothing adventurous, just another McD. I just can’t think of anything else to say LOL

According to my walking tour guide, and confirmed by the manager here, this is the first McDonald’s established(early 1990’s) in the Czech Republic(or Czechoslovakia, I suppose), after Communism was overthrown in the Velvet Revolution. It’s since been upgraded and is quite nice. What a lovely McDonald’s, with free wifi and bathrooms for 10CZK(about US$ 0.40). It has a separate McCafé counter and the entire establishment boosts some nice modern design elements in keeping with current international trends. The interior is quite possibly the nicest McDo I’ve seen anywhere. There’s even a counter with electrical outlets. The food is about standard for McDonald’s, perhaps on the tastier side, but I might be biased because of the proud capitalist historical tradition of this particular one. As an American, I’m ambivalent about American global fast food chains but at least they seem to acquit themselves quite nicely. Bathrooms: Really nice. Modern aesthetic design with dark woods and those space-age oval thingies for urinals and touch-less faucets. Even eco-friendly, with one of those stick-hands-in blow dryer things.

Best McDonald’s we went to in Europe! A bit on the expensive side(about $ 10 for a meal), but it’s clean and service is exceptional. They deliver your food to you and take away your trays. We had a burger that was very filling with an onion topped bun and a fried mozzarella inside! Delicious! I also stopped by their McCafe later during our stay, and they made my iced vanilla coffee perfectly!
