Puro Gelato

I ordered the mint chocolate gelato here. It actually tasted like real mint, which was a first in all my mint chocolate icecream eating history. There was a line here when we ordered, but the delightful gelato was worth the wait!

It’s written on the walls in plain English; Made Daily! AR-​TI-​SAN! Enjoy us on your way to Vy…(I am not even going to attempt to spell or worst pronounce it!) castle thing. It’s as much of a tourist trap as a place can be and it most certainly works! Lines to the door on the random after of a random day. Reading all that stuff on their walls made me into a corny gelato loving nympho-​maniac!
Any place that can shamelessly tout so highly about themselves, especially on their own walls is setting themselves up for a grand failure. While not entirely true this place does fail to impress mainly from their self inflicted misconceptions. Nothing is quite outstanding here but I would say the gelato is good. Decent flavours and adequate selection make for a so-​so experience. The pana cotta was interesting with it’s jelly like consistency and subtle cheese and fruity flavours. Latte was run of the mill kind of stuff — lacked in flavour but adequate in the milk steaming department.
Decent, adequate, so-​so, meh and there-aren’t-too-many-options-around is how I would sum it up.

Today we were to try their waffles. Firstly, we had to wait 20 mins. they were horrible at the end. We asked for waffles to go, they said that its possible and then gave them to us on the plate:))) no box, no bag:) good we drove a car. They were not sweet, not crispy, suprisingly, without any ice cream on top. at the end, they serves them to us cold. dont understand positive comments about the place

Super delicious gelato! I went in the afternoon and there was a line out the door– and it is clear to see why. Despite the long line, I didn’t have to wait for very long. Service was efficient and the staff was polite for being so busy.
The interior is decorated so charmingly.
The quality of the gelato combined with the atmosphere and reasonable prices means I will definitely be returning to Puro Gelato.

The ice cream in this place is even better than the one I had in Italy! They have deep know how about how to make the right home made perfect quality ice cream. One od the cofounders spent many years studying it in Italy. You also find older italian guy in the kitchen and nice ladies. It is next to the river, city centre. Def worth going there!

As italian living in Prague, this is the only place from which I will take ice cream from now on. Absolutely the best ice-​cream in Prague and also better than majority of ice-​cream shops in Italy.

Nejlepsi zmzlina v praze! Best ice cream in prague!!! ;))). Try the carrot one for something new and chocolate as a good old improved classic ;))
