The Emblem Hotel is situated just a block away from the Old Town Square. This made our trip. Tired of Old Town? Charles Bridge and Mala Strana are a 10 – 15 minute walk away. It was great being able to just walk out of our hotel and go out to the bars and pubs at night. There were at least 2 ATMs within a block from us. The metro was also a 5 minute walk. You can’t beat the location of this hotel and the price. The hotel itself was pretty average. The staff was very nice and accommodating, however, it seemed that some of the staff weren’t as knowledgeable as others and often left us on hold or had to ask other staff members for help. The ‘view’ that is their selling point isn’t really worth bothering with — though you can see Prague Castle from their rooftop hot tub, its pretty far away and you’re also surrounded by the backs of many bulidings which pretty much ruins the view. The Wifi likes to constantly give up on you and the AC was on the fritz(though I have a feeling that my husband and I are just used to frigid bedroom temperatures, so I think this was more of a culture thing?). One great thing about the actual hotel is their complimentary breakfast. Saved us a whole lot of money. Not the traditional American continental breakfast: Cold cuts, great bread, smoked salmon, boiled eggs, sausage. The downstairs bar and restaurant(George Prime Steak) had great steak and drinks as well. Also! We were able to book a ride from the hotel to the airport weeks before our stay. It costs 750kc each way, but was really comfortable and convenient. Just email the hotel concierge. To sum up: The hotel itself is nothing to write home about — but its location more than made up for any of its short comings. If you’re the type that spends the entire day out and about, this place is totally worth staying at.

I am definitely a fan of this hotel. Its location is very close to the square, Charles Bridge, and it’s walkable to Prague Castle and the Jewish Quarter. The interiors are sleek and modern. The bathroom was spacious and luxurious. My only critique would be the size of the room — it’s good to know ahead of time so that you’re not surprised that it’s such a small room — but really, if you’re on vacation, you won’t be in your room too much anyway. There’s also free wifi, an excellent steak restaurant downstairs, and a spa on the roof. The breakfast buffet was good too but I wish they had eggs included. I would stay here again.

Amazing boutique hotel in the heart of Prague! Stellar rooms, location, and friendly staff. We stayed in a room with a balcony and it was the perfect size for our little getaway. We’d recommend this hotel to anyone. We didn’t get to try their restaurant, but have heard rave reviews about it. Next time we’re in Prague, we will stay at the Emblem and eat at their restaurant!

Excellent hotel. Service from all staff in hotel and restaurant is faster and more thorough than any other staff in nearby alternatives. High level of attentiveness and friendliness from bellman, registration, concierge, and wait staff. Outside of hotel building is very simple. Inside lobby, spa, restaurant, terrace, and my double room are well-appointed and expertly decorated and smartly furnished with high-quality items. Subtle colors throughout. Very quiet room with excellent air conditioning. All non-smoking hotel. Great bed, pillows, and linens. Only complaints are that in the bathroom the marble floors are extremely cold underfoot. Also the shower/tub water is never hot enough. Lavatory water is fine. Luckily they provide slippers and robe. Housekeeping service is thorough but spotty perhaps due to high occupancy rate of hotel on a Tuesday. Breakfast buffet is excellent with plenty of fresh fruits and bakery items. Service is very good too. WiFi service is great and FAST since each guest has personal password. Small hot tub in the seventh floor terrace requires reservations. That is a hassle. Exercise room is well-equipped. Spa offers many services. Limited parking. Location is convenient to Old Town as it is just one block away. I’d definitely stay here again. Sad that at this price level this hotel does not offer free airport pick up.

This is a fabulous boutique hotel. Warm with wood and contemporary in style. The rooms are small but as cool as it gets. The bar is a real experience complete with mixologists.

Location location location! This hotel is just stone throw from the main square. Amazing location! Also this boutique hotel was built less than a year ago. Hip and contemporary. Service was great. Welcome cocktails at the living room area was a nice touch. Buffet breakfast also has a la carte items you can ordered which is included if you went for the hotel with breakfast option. Roof top terrace with top tub was amazing! We went for the private 1 hour with champagne option for about USD100 but can also do the non private option for less. Being on the roof top in Prague is amazing. Room décor is contemporary with hardwood floor and layout is very functional. If you want a new contemporary boutique hotel in the best location this is it!

Czech-czech-czech it out: I’m a fan of The Emblem Hotel! It has only been around since the fall of 2013 and I explained away some of its quirks by assuming that it’s still in its«settling in» phase. With a spa(including roof deck jacuzzi), bar and restaurant(care of George Steakhouse) and central location, it is definitely well-primed to be a top destination in the style of hip boutique hotels elsewhere. 5 stars: the staff. The number«on the floor» at any given time is impressive, and from check-in to check-out I had all queries answered and all requests dealt with extremely swiftly. It’s nice to have a friendly, helpful harbour in Prague, and the staff certainly helped ensure that The Emblem was this for me. It may be the Unilocaler in me, but another small touch I liked was a print-out of things happening in Prague while I was there. The rooms are quiet, and the beds are divine: the sheets guaranteed that one night I slept 10 hours(almost unheard of in my adult life). The colour scheme is subdued and mature: white sheets and clean lines and grey marble bathroom. The floors aren’t carpeted, which I appreciated(both for aesthetics and for feel underfoot). Lovely fluffy robe and slippers and Nescafe machine with several free pods for use. The bath products are the same used in the spa and, as I had it explained to me, are a line originating in France and exclusively carried by The Emblem in the Czech Republic. Soaps, moisturizer, shampoo/conditioner: all were lovely. If I’m to provide a truly rounded review I have to share that there was a little bit of «try hard»; a lot of social media pushing(tag us on Instagram! Like us on Facebook!). The online room description promised a tablet in every room, but mine didn’t have one(I didn’t miss it, as I brought my own, but still… not as advertised). The inserts in the«welcome folder» in the room were visibly re-used(which I support!) as they were dirty with grease spots(harder to support!). Even though each room had its own wifi code to help with speed of connection, I still had a sometimes-spotty connection. My drapes were broken, wouldn’t close, and weren’t fixed over the course of my 3 days there. Just little attentions to detail that were missed. These were not a big deal in the big scheme of things, but I think for the type of hotel that The Emblem is trying to become, and the price that they’re charging /night… details that are important to catch. Unilocal: I’ll review the spa separately but — spoiler — I think it’s heading for a 5-star rating
