Today we had very bad experience in this restaurant, the waiter was very rude. We where passing by and decided to see the menu ., my husband had hot chocolate in its hands, but of course he was going to drink it outside the restaurant, and then sit there to have dinner, we were with 2 little kids and 3 adults, but the waiter pushed his with the hands and start to talk ver rude with him«no food etc.» even without listening that his not going to drink it in the restaurant just want to see the menu first it was in front of our kids! They started to cry… only because of food in his hands… How could he dare even to touch him?! we were shoked i could call the police. Then manager appoligosed for this rude waiter… Very very bad expierence i would never ever go to this place and suggest to anyone. Unless this guy is there. Also i own a big tourism company in our country we send a lot of tourists to Prague also, and suggest them restaurants and etc. i would never suggest this place to anyone more. Very bad mood for the day.

Location is great, atmosphere in the evening very nice. Service was less nice, food okay but small dishes. Will probably not go back.

Had dinner here on a busy touristy night. Close the the Charles bridge, it’s not lacking for customers but we were able to get a seat. We had Parpadelli Bolognese(tasty), Salmon(delicious with roasted vegetables and grilled lemons) schnitzel, and oricchiete(meh). We also had a caprese salad which was tasty and some sautéed privacy which had good flavor but was very gritty(wash the spinach!) One odd note, the plates are huge and the tables not so much– they took up touch room. Overall good but not spectacular. Worth a try tho

SUPER unimpressed by this, our final Praha restaurant experience. First of all, for a restaurant in Prague, on the main tourist path, their beer menu is pathetic. Like, stupid pathetic. They had four or five pages of mixed drink options, but do you know how many beer options they had? ONE. One damn beer in a city known for being a beer mecca. Pathetic. Secondly, the waiter was rude and a little obnoxious. He acted like we were the crazy ones, asking for other beer options. Then acted like we were inconveniencing him when I asked for a minute to look at the drink menu, since I knew I did not want the beer they had on offer. I had to make a snap decision on a drink because he kept coming by to ask if I was ready. It was highly annoying. In hindsight, we should have just left. At any rate, I ordered a mojito and the hubs got the beer. We then ordered our meals — a cup of the goulash soup and the lamb over fries for me, and a cup of the goulash soup and the schnitzel for my husband. The waiter plopped a basket of bread on the the table, but failed to deliver silverware, plates or napkins. The mojito, when it came out, was all ice, no booze. I don’t remember how much paid for it, but whatever it was, it was far too much. The goulash soup came out first, and though it looked promising, it was terrible. Bland and full of ground meat and soggy carrots — there was nothing in it to make me think«goulash» or «good» or «I’m so glad I ordered this.» The lamb was decent, but it was cold by the time it got to me. The fries were soggy from sitting under the lamb for however long it sat on the bar, waiting for the waiter to bring it to me. Even the salad was not good — it was bitter and had almost no dressing. My husband did enjoy his schnitzel, though he said he had had better on the trip. The waiter never really came around again — we had to flag down another person in order to get and pay for our bill. Horrible experience for our last night in town. Would not recommend.

This review is for the U Zlatého Stromu Illy café associated with the hotel. The café is across the street and in between Charles Bridge and Old Towne Square. The man working in this café is incredibly nice and very helpful. We enjoyed the macaroons, salmon baguette, café latte, and the pear juice. They had a whole fruit juicer and i highly recommend getting any of the juices they have. The food is run over from the hotel across the street. Very great place!

Do not eat here!!! They ripped us off. They charge a service charge of 18% for the owner, a bread charge that was as much as my dinner and didn’t say it was extra when they put it on our table. Beware of unethical practices!!! Not worth the food
