U Zlatého Hada

Worst experience ever! The food was too salty and overpriced !!! A very touristy restaurant as it is near Charles bridge. The food and beer was double the price of another restaurant just down the street. The service was the thing that annoyed me the most. The waiter was so rude and look at my family as if We can’t pay the bill. After we finish our meal I ask a few times for the bill. And That waiter just said yes and made us wait. Until my family decided to make a move and stand up to get ready to leave. He passed me the ticket with a look on his face and did not even say a word of thank you. I m in the service line myself and I have been to a lot of restaurant. Service like this is unacceptable.

Am Rand der Altstadt und trotzdem mittendrin! Sehr aufmerksames, freundliches Personal und eine super ansprechende Karte. Fleischliebhaber werden es lieben, aber auch die veggies werden definitiv etwas leckeres finden! Im Sommer kann man sehr nett draußen sitzen und das bunte Treiben beobachten. Auch die Plätze drinnen sind nicht zu verachten! ;) einen kleinen Punkt Abzug gibt es nur weil ich auf starke Würze stehe und da wäre noch was gegangen. Aber das ist ja bekanntlich Geschmackssache ;)

We tried this place for our first night in Prague. The food did not disappoint! Our server was very attentive and friendly (more so than usual compared to other places in Prague and Eastern Europe). I ordered the goulash and my boyfriend had the pig special. Both were extremely good. The goulash was well seasoned and the dumplings were cooked perfectly. The place was laid-​back, yet appropriate for date night. We’d recommend it!

Fantastic service, including a lady in costume who was basically the reason we decided to stop here. There waiter was also genuinely friendly and helpful.
And the food.
I ate past the point of being full, because the duck with red cabbage and dumplings was very good. My fiancée (who is a very picky eater) was also very happy.
Well on the way to becoming our favourite restaurant in Prague. Highly recommended.

Ate dinner here although I was not hungry. Others in our group were so we stopped at the first restaurant that looked okay. Wait for meal was extremely slow (1 hour+). Order 2100 hours, eat 2210 hours. Thought maybe that is how all these restaurants operate but I wanted to eat and go home to sleep. How hard is it to cook simple items and late hour with few customers. Food looked good but tasted average. Okay to eat here but not go out of my way to eat here.

As a large family (parents and 6 kids) it seems that Italian food is something we can always agree on. We ate here in November 2013 while exploring Old Town Prague. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Great food. Great staff. In fact we enjoyed it so much that we came back the following evening (something we never do).

Ja was soll man da sagen. Wir waren echt enttäuscht.
Was haben wir uns nach einem langen Tag in der schönen Stadt Prag doch auf leckere landestypische Küche gefreut aber da is (s)t man hier definitiv falsch am Platz. Meine Frau und ich bestellten uns zusammen eine große gemischte Platte für 2 Personen welche bereits nach ca. 10 Minuten lauwarm auf unserem Tisch stand. Das Angeboten Brot zur welches ich als Gruß des Hauses verstanden hatte wurde anschließend abgerechnet und das zu einem meiner Ansicht nach unverschämten Preis.
Alles in allem ein wirklich enttäuschendes Essen aus lieblos zusammen gestellten Brocken aufgewärmten Fleisch, Knödeln und Kraut in einer vor Fett strotzenden Soße aus der Tüte.
