Hotel Taurus

Hotel Taurus is a reasonably priced hotel with a quite decent location. It is located just 5 minutes from the Prague TV tower and to reach the center you can take a metro which is just 200m from the hotel. If you want to save on the metro trips you can pick a hotel in the same price range in the center so that it will be easy for you to walk around the main sites. But the Vinohrady area where the hotel is located in is also nice to discover and there are less tourists.
Not all the rooms look as nice as in the pictures. On my second stay I had a room that was tiny, the twin beds were set in a line after each other and there was not much other space in the room, so it was really more like a small piece of corridor than a room. The other time I stayed in the hotel I had a double room that looks the same as in the pictures. In both rooms the bathrooms were clean and modern which is nice.
The breakfast included in the price is quite good, it includes the standard eggs, sausages, bread, yoghurt, musli, pastries and fruits.
Front desk service was friendly and helpful. Had a negative experience with the cleaning ladies though, they were very pushy and kept knocking and opening the doors to the room 3 times despite being told that we did not want the cleaning that day.
Overall I could stay in this hotel again, but you have to keep in mind that you may get unlucky and end up in the tiny room with paper thin walls on the same floor as an Italian school group (real-​life example). Or you can get lucky and get a nice spacious room with quiet neighbors.

Very friendly personnel. Not expensive, with private parking (11 €). Room for 30 € for two persons. Internet, breakfast. What else could you want… great pubs and a nice restaurant right next to the hotel.
