Now I like this place. The pizza is fresh and not overly greasy like some. The crust is perfectly baked with a nice thinness to it. We had the marguerita pizza. Flavorful and fresh! One of the better pizza places around. Much better than the so called Chicago style place down the street on Main!!! Worthwhile.

I’m a huge fan of the Pizza Studio on Figueroa near USC and probably a bigger fan of this Pizza Studio because of the short line! My friend and I came here to grab pizza as a study break and for $ 7.99 not including tax you can get a pizza with unlimited toppings. Super delicious and filling with great customer service! Big variety of toppings and pretty prime location :)

I don’t even enjoy pizza in general and I actually want to come here and make my own pizza! I stick with my usual — traditional crust, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and veggies on one side and then pineapple, ham, & bacon on the other side. Veggies I usually use: caramelized onions, zucchini, artichoke, & herb potato. The herb potato is especially delicious(not too strong). Every time I’ve visited, everyone has been excellent, very nice and helpful. The place is very open and clean, tons of parking all around(parking structure in back and across the street(behind the businesses).

No salt. No pepper. I had a Greek salad and dreamt only of how delicious it would with a few crystals of salt. The kids enjoy the pizza which is plenty salty. But salad with no salt. No way. Sorry pizza studio. You failed me.

Deciding to try a new pizza spot during girls night, we opted for Pizza Studio on Main Street. We popped in on a Monday evening around 6pm. I’ve been to similar pizza joints(Pieology, PizzaRev, etc) but have never received great service from the entire team working that night. Literally, everyone down the line was friendly. We took some time deciding which sauce we wanted(so many options!) but the girl working at that station was friendly and even offered recommendations. Love love love that they have a flaxseed crust for the healthier crowd — no additional charge. We did they Unilocal check-in special for buy 1 pizza, get the second pizza for $ 3.99. Parking structure available through 1st& Main or Garfield & Main.

I loooooove their thin crust pizza. It’s not a new york slice. It’s more like a cracker-like crust. It’s not too heavy and doesn’t make you regret life as eating it. We come here almost every day after school. My toddler loves the cheese pizza($ 5) and I get a plain mushroom. After the Unilocal check in, the mushroom only costs $ 3.99 which totals $ 10 for 2 pizzas! It’s a great bargain. There’s 4 types of crust; plain, herb, flax and one more. I always get the wheat flax. The flax gives it a texture, flavor and omega 3 fatty acids! You can specify what cheese(mozz, goat or feta), how many toppings(a plethora). Toppings are unlimited but you don’t wanna load too much on the pizza. The crust is thin so it’ll get soggy. On the corner of Garfield and Las tunas, there’s plenty of free parking structures, lots of restaurants and window shopping. Boba tea is closeby, there’s a cake shop, wine shops, bars… Eat pizza then walk it off. It’s never too busy and service is great!

So glad to see Pizza Studio is doing well and expanding all over, well deserved! Bight, clean and new location, staff is already on top of their game, pizzas were made well and quickly. Prices are more than fair, they also have great special offers. Love the different crust options, my favorite was the one with flax seed, loaded with veggies and a fresh side salad it was plenty for dinner and a leftover snack for that evening. Plenty of seating, great addition to the area!

I am giving the same rating as Pieology because I can barely tell the difference. Same unlimited topping option for $ 7.99, thin crust, community involvement, and same assembly line style. Topping options seem somewhat limited compared to Pieology but Pizza Studio has more crust options. Crust options include Traditional, Rosemary Herb, Whole Grain & Flax Seed, Firecracker, and Gluten Free($ 2 extra). I originally started with one of the house creations(Sausage & Peppers) but ended up going custom as I moved through the line. In addition to tomato sauce, mozzarella, sweet chicken sausage, and spicy pork sausage, I also added artichoke hearts, roasted broccoli, roasted red peppers, and pepperoni on Rosemary Herb crust. Pizza only took about 3 minutes to cook and I was happy with my creation. The Rosemary Herb crust was very flavorful and went well with the sweet chicken sausage. Place was very clean and all the ingredients looked fresh. The décor is pretty nice due to all the artwork on the wall. Pizza Studio supports starving artists and hangs local artists’ works on wall for sale. All proceeds go directly to the artists and doesn’t take any commissions. It even had several paintings done by kids. Employees were all very friendly and helpful. Even though it was a slow night this place seemed to have lot of employees on site. Perhaps it wanted to be prepared in case of an unexpected rush.

I didn’t like this place at all on my first visit. They had just opened and were ironing out the kinks. They were slow and I felt very stingy with the toppings. I had to constantly ask for more and more of the same topping. Fast forward to my last several visits and I believe they’ve ironed out the kinks. I appreciate how they noticed my uncooked crust dough was stale, so they proactively trashed it and made me a new one. I can tell the management places a priority on good customer service. Just walk in and you’ll see!

This review is LONG overdue for me. Pizza Studio is the competitor to Blaze Pizza which also has the DIY pizza concept. The main difference is Pizza Studio utilizes an oven/conveyor belt baking process while Blaze Pizza utilizes firewood with a baking oven. Best part of it? All the ingredients are FRESH! At Pizza Studio, for $ 7.99 you can get a DIY pizza. It has about eight slices when they cut it up. They have several different doughs such as the traditional, fire cracker, rosemary, whole grain and gluten free. There are about 20~ different toppings, five sauces and three types of cheese. My favorite DIY pizza is the fire cracker dough, red sauce + basil pesto, grated cheese, garlic, tomatoes, mushrooms, zucchini, caramelized onions, potatoes, bacon, and pepperoni! You really can’t go wrong here since there are so many different options to choose from. Fav crust — Fire Cracker Fav«unusual topping — Roasted potatoes Fav sauce combination — Red + Pesto Basil Staff here is extremely friendly and they are generous with the toppings. If you want MORE, don’t be be afraid — just ask! If you are wondering where to park, I usually park at the Burlington/Habit Burger/Blaze Pizza lot and just walk on over! TIP** Don’t forget to use the Unilocal check in deal where you pay an additional $ 3.99 for a second DIY pizza!

Love love love this place! Customer service is so friendly, knowledgeable and fast! Line moves swiftly and all staff has smiles on their face. There is no rush to push you through the line so you can take the time to make your selection to make sure it comes out perfectly. There is plenty of staff on hand to make sure the keeps moving and hungry tummies get fed pronto. Plenty of seating between inside the restaurant and on the patio. Nice patio outside to enjoy the fresh air and people watch on Main Street. Alhambra residents keep an eye out on your mail! Be on the look out for a lovely post card welcoming Pizza Studio to the neighborhood by enjoying a pizza on them! I love the fact that there are different types of pizza crusts here to try. Note: traditional does taste more dough-y than blaze. Blaze has more of a thin crispy crust. I love bread so bring on the dough! I also tried their popular crust, the Rosemary herb-love love love. Toppings are all fresh and plentiful! No complaints here-can’t wait to come back for more!

I decided to give this place a second chance because they mailed out the flier for a free pizza! It thought it was awesome that they did that! They have about 4 different types of crusts, I ordered their firecracker crust which was spicy! It was so good! My biggest criticism I had last visit here was that their crust was too soggy. This time around it was completely different! The crust was flavorful and the consistency was perfect. They were more generous on their toppings without me having to ask for more, which is great! The staff was very friendly and seemed well trained. I liked that they have promotions going on like student discount, buy one pizza and get the second one for only $ 3.99, and I just received an email saying that they have a promotion to get movie tickets for $ 8 with the purchase of two pizzas. I’ll definitely be coming back here! I was so impressed with their quality and how much it has changed! It is definitely up to par with Blaze now! Great job!

On-the-go pizza is in full force all around. Pizza Studio is on the corner of Garfield and Main. It is a block away from Blaze so there is major competition. I got a coupon for a free pizza that was sent home so I came to use it. The menu is right in front and you can order a pre-made one or create one on your own OR you can do a mixture of both. First, you can choose from four different types of pizza dough. Then you add ingredients. I started with«The Vegan» which is a vegetarian pizza with vegan cheese(soy-based). After seeing all of the other ingredients, I ended up adding more. In the end the pizza was a combination of cheese, vegan cheese, broccoli, artichoke, garlic, basil, potato, banana peppers, red onions, and grilled onions. Unlike burgers, I think you have more freedom with pizza without the fear of it not working together. The service was pretty decent. The line was a little backed up but it was still pretty quick. I noticed that they use one of those conventional conveyor belt ovens unlike other places but I don’t really notice the difference. The pizza came out in about 5 minutes after paying. The pizza was hot and the crust was crisp. Nothing too amazing but also nothing to fault it for. Its a quick and easy meal for around $ 9. Another perk of eating here is that they have wifi. Why not? Might as well let people not user their own data. I will try this place again and try some of the other menu items such as the chicken alfredo or the buffalo chicken. Come check it out and see how it compares to the others… fyi. 10% with high school id!

Sadly, living in Alhambra for this long, I never took notice of this place until I received a flyer/coupon in the mail offering free pizza with no strings attached. I came during evening time and it wasn’t just me with the coupon last night, it was everyone in line carrying a coupon. Hence, explains why they ran out of various crusts and the only two options left that evening was original and firecracker. I went with the original crust with tomato blend and added a whole bunch of meat and veggies. Aesthetically, the pizza looked delicious. Unfortunately, it didn’t taste the way it looked. The crust wasn’t crispy and the toppings didn’t taste fresh at all. I’m comparing this pizza joint with Blaze Pizza — located inside the newest«Alhambra Plaza» next door one street over. I’m a huge avid fan of both Blaze Pizza and Pieology. Let me break down the differences between this place and Blaze — Blaze has way more meat and veggies options, the crust is crispier and most importantly less oily. I do have to say that Pizza Studio offers more crust options compared to Blaze but that’s pretty much the only thing that they got going for them which unfortunately, isn’t all that great either. Perhaps, they need to keep it in the oven for just a minute longer? Who knows… Aside from the pizza, I wanted to share my experience I had here last night. My pizza was accidentally given to another customer. I waited for a while and usually oven roasted pizza has a quick turnaround time since the crust is thin. Eventually, my order somehow got mixed up and I ended up with someone else’s pizza. But I’m not complaining since I came here with a free coupon. I do have to recognize this place for great customer service. Service was amazing and they do deserve a 5 star for just that alone. I was told to re-order another pizza and the staff was extremely apologetic. At time of checkout, she felt bad for me for waiting and offered me a BOGO coupon! Thank you for that!

Contrary to what some other reviews state about stingy toppings, I thought they were plenty generous with toppings. In fact, I thought they were more generous than Blaze. At Blaze, I had to ask for a little more of everything. When I first walked in, I was greeted and given a run-down of how to order. They had several pizza crust options to choose from but I went with the traditional crust so I could better compare it to Blaze. Next, it was on to sauce, cheese, and toppings. Blaze has a more comprehensive cheese list so if you’re into having a wider variety, go there. I chose mozzarella and thought it was fine. They had standard toppings and I think you’ll be able to build a pizza you enjoy here. I do wish they offered arugala as a topping at the end but they do have cilantro for those of you who enjoy it(like me) and don’t think it tastes like soap. Hah! Pizza Studio also has a variety of seasonings that you can sprinkle onto your pizza, like truffle salt, old bay seasoning, etc. Feel free to ask for a recommendation if you can’t decide. One thing I really like about Pizza Studio is that they offer a student discount. With the discount, the pizzas here are a better deal than at Blaze. Otherwise, they’re priced about the same. I do prefer the crispiness of Blaze’s pizza crust more than here, but I did get my pizza a lot faster here. Verdict: I enjoy Blaze’s pizza slightly more than Pizza Studio, but I am a fan of both. Because the pizza at PS is slightly cheaper with student discount, I will make more visits here than Blaze.

Obviously with multiple build-your-own pizza places opening within a block of each other, there will be comparisons, but from the beginning Pizza Studio has been top notch in my book. The good: –Super friendly staff and very accommodating –A vast variety of toppings, including lots of veggies and even potatoes(they are in the meat section) –A large variety of crusts and the gluten-free option is only a $ 1 more –The pizza is cooked super fast and cooked well –Affordable price point –Online ordering –Rewards program –Clean and minimal atmosphere — the space indoors is on the smaller side, but they have a large outdoor seating area –Pizzas are fresh and they taste great The could-be-better: (Even with a five star rating — nobody is perfect!) –When they had their opening celebration they had their pizza priced at 50% off regular price, but when I got rung up the employee did not honor that price and I had to remind him. –Sometimes the staff in general have a trying-too-hard attitude and it comes off a little fake and a little annoying. –They are stingy with toppings –Crusts are thin, probably because the pizza cooks in 2 minutes, so you don’t get filled up as much as other places with thin-crust pizza. Judging the pizza alone, Blaze vs. Pizza Studio, Blaze has a thicker crust, so their pizza is more filling. I like Blaze’s oven better. Pizza Studio has great seasoning options(truffle salt is my favorite), fresh basil at the end and their goat cheese and pepperoni taste better. Pizza studio has more tasty veggie options. Overall I really do love this place and have frequented many times. I will definitely be back.

Awesome place for anyone interested in trying different crust flavors. Got the whole grain and flaxseed and it was delicious. Service was friendly and fast. Pizza came out right before I found a seat which was amazing. The lady asked if I wanted anything and she was nice to bring us some BBQ sauce on the side. Patio seating was perfect for our group of 5. Tables weren’t bolted down so I was happy about being able to make our own big table. Went in during the grand opening special where u get pizzas half off so we got ours for $ 4.

Look what we have here… another pizza place has arrived to vy for pizza supremacy on Main St. Been here twice and absolutely liked my experience. –Note: Might be a blood bath, because Blaze pizza is setting up shop across from Pizza Studio. Check-in deal: 2 unlimited topping pizza for $ 7.99 Game Changer: More variety of crust flavors! You can choose from traditional, rosemary herb, whole grains and flax seeds, firecracker, and gluten free($ 2 extra) Location: Sandwiched in between a optometry glasses store and blockheads. Parking: You can park in the parking structure on 1st street or in the residential. Ambiance/Décor: Very trendy with modern furnishings. There’s also a section on the wall where local artists can have their masterpieces showcased and hopefully get purchased by a lucky customer. Service: Loved the services! I do agree that this place is overstaffed with workers, but I do understand the other side. They’re prepping themselves to handle bigger rushes at any given time. This holds true when Ian(manager) and his fellow staffers(10+) performed valiantly to meet the demands of our group of 25 and many other patrons. Staffers were also attentive, friendly, and provided great service. Portion control is a bit on the stingy side… you might sound like a broken record player when you ask for more ingredients. Just be patient and they’ll be happy to accomodate you. The pizza’s came out super fast! Food: On my two visits to the pizza join, I only ordered the unlimited topping pizza. The ingredients were fresh and most importantly, the pizza was great and could actually taste the flavor of the crust. There isn’t a lot of toppings to choose from compared to pieology or blaze, but they do have a first-mover advantage with their flavorful crusts.

So the pizza scene in Alhambra is about to heat up with newly-opened Pizza Studio & Blaze about to open across the street. This was my first time going to any Pizza Studio, and the good news is that they seem to have gotten any new restaurant jitters out of their system. There were no problems with my order or my food. The comparisons to Blaze are hard to avoid. What’s similar is that you get unlimited toppings for a flat fee. They have a few different kinds of crusts, but I’d get the traditional. Mrs. C got the rosemary crust, and that dough just doesn’t cook as crispy as the plain one. I’d say Blaze has a better variety of toppings, including the ovalini mozzarella that Mrs. C is just crazy for. The pizzas at Pizza Studio cook on a conveyor-belt style oven, so they just cook for a precise time and that’s it. The oven is amazingly small for how much pizza they need to turn out. What I did like about Pizza Studio was that the side salad was a very reasonable $ 3, and it was made on-the-spot, instead of sitting in some container in a cooler. That was a nice touch. They have self-serve drinks, and here’s a pro tip. They have 2 lemonades(regular & strawberry) to the right. I missed this the first time, but they are kinda hidden so just be sure you look for it. If you know Alhambra, this actually used to be a photo finishing place for developing your pictures, passport photos, etc. You can’t really tell at all, so the remodel team did a good job.

The stuck up guy/s here with the 2 stars are freakin idiots. The business and its employees still need time to established themselves brah, give them a break!.. I for one had a good experience, not perfect but a good one. With that in mind, I’m giving 4 stars because of taste, service and cleanliness. The one dude, giving 2 stars because of 10 piece of onions or the employees look unorganized or they don’t answer me with ‘sir’ because I’m a man, etc. I don’t even want to go on with the rest of this fool’s comment. He’s an Idiot. Plain and simple.
