I’ve been eating at Loco’s for years, ever since I discovered the one in Athens, GA. I was glad to find a sister location close to my office after graduation.
Great domestic beer specials and BOGO wing deals make this a good place for easy lunches and yummy bar food at a low price. The locations I’ve visited all also have team trivia once or twice a week in the evenings.
Unfortunately, over the past few years this particular location has really just gone downhill. The food is still good and reasonably priced, but service is practically non-​existent. It takes upwards of 30 minutes to get food at lunch sometimes and God forbid there be anything wrong with your order because it might be another 20 minutes before a server stops by to check.
We will probably be moving on to other wing spots in the area. If you do stop by, skip the «skinny menu» and go for the gold — the grilled wings are delicious! I’m also a big fan of the nachos, and the Gobbler sandwich is a hit with my coworkers.

I came here to check this place out since I was in the neighborhood. It seems like they can use a renovation because it just looked old and dark inside. I had the Turkey Reuben wrap with a side of coleslaw. The first time it came out, it was definitely not Turkey so they had to take it back. The second time it came out, it was very bland. If you look at the picture, you can tell it didn’t look very appetizing. This restaurant needs some improvement.

Go to spot for a quick drink or to watch a big game. All the bartenders are great. Courtney is amazing goes out of here way to make you feel valued. Sean is solid. Food is good also. Burgers come out cooked to your specification. Wings are good especially 2 for 1.

The best wings around. Nuff said. We go on Fridays when they are 2 for 1.

If it were not for the smoke this place would actually be pretty cool. It’s 2016. Make those smokers do their thing outside.

I met some friends here for a Tuesday night trivia excursion. I can see why they like Locos. It’s simple. Comfortable. Easy. The food is decent. The drinks are cold. And the trivia is fun. I see my fellow Unilocalers have said things about the smoky environment, and I did not notice that at all.
There seemed to be one fellow holding down the house during trivia night, and that probably explained some delays in getting orders in, or getting water refilled. But none of that really mattered. Because he was hustling, and there was trivia to be had.
My friend recommended the roasted chicken wings. I was like «roasted?» But they were really, very good – a dry-​rubbed wing with your choice of dipping sauce. I had some hot & sweet barbecue sauce. I will happily return for more of that. Holler if you’re coming with.

We go there Wednesday evenings and love the wings. Absolutely great. At times the smoke scent is strong, but for the most of our visits, it has been very faint. And besides, they are right next to the smoking bar lounge.

I used to go here a lot years ago and it was very good. We recently moved back to the area and decided to go. It smelled so bad from stale cigarette smoke that we turned around and walked right back out.

I go here a lot. The food is great! The bar staff is awesome and you can smoke inside. Definitely my favorite place to go when I want to have a few drinks close to home.

Never again. Went there for the first time tonight because I heard they had wings and it was close to our home. I don’t expect much when I’m just looking for wings but this place is a dump. Sat on the «non-​smoking» side and it still reeked of smoke. Had to wait for what seemed like a good 5 minutes waiting to be seated although there was hardly anyone in the place (should have taken the hint then and just left). Waitress had about as much personality as a brick wall and she never once smiled. We ordered twenty wings and asked how many flavors we could get with that. She said you can get 4. So we chose the 4 flavors and when they brought out the wings the waitress said well sorry but we could only do 2 — which were both spicy and my fiancée doesn’t do spicy (hence the reason we ordered the other two flavors that were not spicy). So basically instead of the waitress coming back to ask us they just took it upon themselves to choose for us. Fortunately after complaining they did take the wings and fix them as we had requested. We asked for blue cheese but cooks thought we should have ranch instead. I guess the customer doesn’t choose here. Drinks got quite low on numerous occasions and had to constantly ask to have them refilled. A little quality mgmnt is much needed at this place. Sign on wall said «kids eat free on Saturday». I would never bring my kids here. We won’t be back and that’s for sure.

Great food& great service. Wings are better than Taco Mac. And the Nachos with fried chicken is amazing.

We love Loco’s! Friendly staff and good food. Plus they have KENO and Bingo. My only complaint is the smell. Anytime you walk in the bar, you come out smelling like a mix between cigarettes and poop. It’s God awful. Other than that, the food is great and it’s always a fun experience. The customers are always friendly too.

Dive bar with GREAT food at awesome prices. Yes, the place does smell like cigarette smoke so if this bothers you then don’t go. However, if you want good food, good price, and good service, this is a great place to visit. It has become our kitchen away from home. Some of my favorites– wings, sweet potato fries, el dorado burger (burger topped with a fried egg), and fresh chicken tenders.

If you haven’t tried the grilled wings your truly missing out on something special. Can’t believe nobody else figured this out before, the perfect combo of overnight marinate and grill perfection. On top of that super friendly staff, great blues band in an uncrowded atmosphere. Definitely coming back.

We stumbled across Loco’s while shopping in the center. Today we came in on «buy one get one free — Buffalo Wings», all day every Wednesday’s. Our server was Steven from Miami, great service and awesome personality. Loco’s is lucky to have him. The roasted wings are the best I’ve ever had. The honey bbq sauce on the side is deelish. Chips and salsa are the bomb. The specials for the beer on draft were great too. We will be coming back every Wednesday for sure. We’re looking forward to checking out live music on Saturday nights and Texas Hold Em on Sunday’s.

I stopped in Loco’s expecting a delicious wrap like I used to have in college. Instead I walked into a restaurant that smelled like a pack of Marlboro Lights mixed with a baby’s diaper. The smell was majorly unappealing.

I walked into this establishment and it smelled like stale cigarette smoke, so I promptly walked right out.

Okay– so it’s a dive bar, I know. But… They have great bar food and awesome beer prices. If you love a laid back atmosphere and cheap pool or trivia or poker– this is your home.
As a woman I have to say its a sausage fest EVERY day. There are a core group of guys that rule the roost. They keep the women away. Nice guys but…
Suggestions:
Full length mirror in bathroom.
Weekly drinks specialized for Females
Purse and coat hooks throughout.
Take down all the free promo crap from the walls and it will feel less like a frat house. FIx the gaps in your flooring and I can wear something other than sneakers or flats. Get a wifi booster or cell booster. Checking out from the world to be here isn’t enough.
Install a door so the bar patrons aren’t looking at your storage/​to go crap. Install doors under your bar cabinets so patrons aren’t looking at storage items. And how about some stable bar stools? Having to pick through them to find one not on it’s last leg, would be nice.

Loco’s is a great neighborhood bar. The bartenders are attentive, beer is cheap, and cigar smoking is allowed. They have a non-​smoking section, but I think it would be like sitting in detention. Loco’s is a good place to hang out to watch live music, play billiards, or to lose money at Keno. Livin La Vida Loco’s.

There are three parts to this review, the food (meh…), the service (YAY!) and the trivia (WOO-​HOO!!!).
I’ve eaten at Loco’s before and the food is typically good, but I’ve found that the nachos (which we had this evening) just aren’t up to par. The burgers, sandwiches, fries, chicken tenders and queso all tend to be very tasty, so we’re obviously not paying attention. Food: ³⁄₅ stars.
The service was very attentive. For our first time at this location, they were very friendly and most everything went as planned. She asked us if everything was OK and kinda snickered when we didn’t respond, then walked away. If she’d asked what they could do to make us happy, I’d give them 5/​5, but tonight, they get ⁴⁄₅ stars.
The trivia kicked butt. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into, but they were nearby, so we took a chance and ventured out. By the end of the first round, we were tied for third out of eight teams, which isn’t unusual, but it made us happy. We won the interim contest and ended up coming in 2^nd place. The amazing part is that for both the contest and the prize, the MC took his wallet out and paid us $ 25 in cash! Never in all my years have I seen such a thing! ⁵⁄₅ stars!
⁴⁄₅ stars overall, so we will most definitely be back!
