AWFUL. I will never step foot in the Emory location again. I was treated so poorly by brunette with long straight ombred hair. She yanked the clothing out of my hand after I tried it on and decided it didn’t work out. I have worked in customer service for years and have no patience for this. My sister also had a horrible experience with the Asian girl employee who basically insinuated she had stolen when she hadn’t. She frequents other American threads but will not return to Emory Pointe. The clothes are great but the service is terrible– my recommendation is to go to another location even if it’s farther!

Wouldn’t return a defective product. Poor customer service! I bought a full price spring skirt before the Holidays and when I put it on when the weather was nice, the skirt was not. The elastic had completely disintegrated in the waistband. I had the receipt, the bags, tags on, never worn and took it back to the store to show them the problem. There was no exception made on their store credit policy because it was beyond their return timeline. The store employees told me they would have the manager call me that day to discuss it. She never called. A week later I had to go back in. This time the manager did call back and said they wouldn’t take the item back under any circumstance. I explained that I shopped there frequently and understand how return policies work. I wasn’t trying to take advantage of the store, just trying to return a defective, never worn item that I would now have to throw away. They still wouldn’t budge. At what point do store managers learn that doing the right thing goes a long way with customer loyalty? I will never step foot in their store again.

American threads is one of my favorite stores and definitely the only store I would shop at Emory Points. The style is more of a trendy chic mixed with a boho vibe, has great styles for music festivals(the headbands are AWESOME I can’t resist them) and cute dresses for date nights, date parties and formals. As a extremely frequent shopper at neiman marcus, bloomingdales, BCBG, free people, etc I have an eclectic style of chic, modern and bohemian. I’d say the style is comparable to urban outfitters, free people, dolce vita, mink pink, etc. They also carry some awesome lines like blanc NYC denim which I’m in love with. They have some special pieces that you can’t find any where. I’ve always enjoyed shopping at american threads because all the girls who work there are professional and nice and a lot of them know my name which is a plus. So this is hands down my favorite clothing boutique around emory and I would recommend it for everyone :)

Considering I’m someone that frequents Forever 21, Target and Ann Taylor(an assortment of stores that can only be described as a fashion juxtaposition/walking disaster), I’m pretty hesitant on stepping into what I perceive as «snooty boutiques.» I walked in American Threads on a quiet Sunday afternoon, post-food baby/brunch at General Muir with a few of my girl friends. The two ladies that worked there helped us out when asked. We weren’t welcomed or received a «LETMEKNOWIFYOUNEEDANYTHING,» however, when we had a question about any items, we were graciously attended to. All the items were very unique and available in an assortment of sizes. It’s a little difficult to go through the racks as the items are tightly packed together, but it didn’t impede our shopping abilities. Prices were reasonable. I fell in love with a few of their Toms and walked with two pairs that were on super sale. I would describe the styles carried as «understated sophistication.» I would definitely go back in a heartbeat and check out some of their other items.
