Austin’s pizza is one of our favorite delivery places. The pizza is good. Delivery time is usually around 45 minutes.

Never again. Ordered from a location 3 miles away. they were busy it’s a Saturday night pizza places get busy, I understand. We were told it would be a little over an hour and yes it took an hour. But the pizza looked old and dry when it arrived. The bag the delivery man holds the pizzas in was already open when he approached my door, So I’m assuming the pizza had been losing heat the whole ride to my house. I also ordered a Zilker garden salad and it was excellent! The vegetables and lettuce were very fresh and the ranch dressing was delicious! But the pizza was an extreme disappointment.

It’s really hard to screw up pizza. Austin’s Pizza somehow manages to do it every time. I’ve ordered from Austins Pizza probably 8 times and I’ve only gotten a well made pizza once. Other times I’ve had burnt pizza show up, under cooked pizza, even pizza that looks like it’s been shaken in the box for a few minutes. Beware. Staff is unfriendly in my exp, and I’ve never had a manager try and make it right whe an order is messed up. Last place I’d order from.

This review may be unfair because I only had the pizza from a truck during SXSW, but if your pizza can’t make the cut at 1AM after drinks then it’s probably not going to be a delicacy during daylight hours either. The cheese pizza was average at best and very dried out. It was at least hot, but I can’t see myself ever returning.

The pizza is good but the customer service is terrible. Hire more professional staff.

Had their pizza rolls at Austin City Limits for the first time a week ago. They were so good that we decided to look up the pizza place & get them again! We were excited when we saw that they had a special day for them — Tuesday’s for $ 1 each. We picked them up because I read that their delivery takes a long time and also, they don’t deliver to my area. That’s okay, I’d rather not pay the delivery fee anyway. We were pretty disappointed — there was hardly any filling in the rolls and they were slightly burnt. Can say I probably won’t be stopping back. Their ranch was some of the best ranch I’ve ever had though, homemade I think. If I ever get these pizza rolls again, it’ll probably be next year at ACL. They seem to be somehow making them better — maybe we got a bad batch.

Your other locations have much better customer service and pizza skills. I was excited not to lose Austin’s pizza when I moved south, but I’d rather not have than wait 10 minutes being ignored by your rude employees inside. Ring the bell and after I finish smoking and chatting up my coworker I’ll consider giving you your now cold pizza that’s been ready and sitting by the window. Don’t waste your money at this location, go north to any one of the others.

Wow. This pizza was very sad and disappointing. Not only did it arrive cold after over an hour wait, but there was hardly any pineapple on it for a Hawaiian pizza. :( While I expected the crust to be somewhat different because I ordered wheat, it was pretty flat and barely existent. I didn’t buy thin crust, that’s just apparently how it is, and I have bought wheat crust pizzas that were thick. It tasted pretty decent, but couldn’t make up for the rest. It ended up being over $ 20 when you factor in a delivery charge(for cold pizza?) and tip. I feel like I got suckered into it because it was a local institution. Not worth it and never again.

It’s been a while since I’ve had Austin’s Pizza and after the two pizzas I tried tonight I’m actually surprised that I kind of regret that. I’ve only ever had the more standard pepperoni-only fare before and they’ve only just been okay to me; good, but nothing I’d-do-anything-to-eat-this-right-now amazing. Tonight I had the Haole and the Dos Lobos. The Haole really surprised me because I am definitely against pineapple being anywhere near my pizza, but this was actually quite good. Maybe I just don’t want pineapple near my Canadian bacon… Hm. The Dos Lobos was pretty super great and easily a contender for one of the better pizzas I’ve had delivered to my door this year. I had the subterranean pizza at House Pizzeria a few years ago and it was a little cold so I wasn’t head over heels for it. The Dos Lobos is Austin Pizza’s(dare I say better?) version of that same pizza and finally I’m all for rosemary potatoes on pizza. It’s awesome, kids. Seriously. The potatoes and the other toppings(bacon, spinach, mushrooms, onions) all work together to make a really delicious pizza. We ordered thin crust for both pies and it was the perfect degree of crisp-but-not-too-crackery and had enough flavor to hold its own against the toppings. I’ll have to try out more of Austin Pizza’s original specialty pies if they’re going to be this good. I’d throw in a half star here if I could. If the other originals are as good, I’ll likely be taking it to full four star territory.

Brown lettuce in every salad I’ve ever ordered from here. Some of the specialty pizzas are decent, but don’t make the order too complicated, they cant handle it and it will surely end in disappointment.

I live in South Austin and the SouthPark Meadows joint is the closest location to me. Usually the pizza is decent but this time it was bad. The pizza was not warm at all. The dessert pizza I ordered was raw on the inside. For a restaurant that is supposed to be a decent local Austin pizza chain. I am greatly disappointed. I called and they had a dessert pizza redelivered to me but the driver was terribly rude in returning the pizza to me so you only get one star Austin’s Pizza.

The pizza at this place is one notch below the frozen cardboard pizza you get for 99 cents at the supermarket. This won’t even do for utility pizza. Avoid.

This far south location of Austin’s Pizza gets two stars as an average because once when we ordered from there it was fair and once terrible. The terrible pizzas were cold and had so much salt and red pepper in the sauce that they were almost inedible. I’ve eaten at other locations and the pizza is OK but not great. Frankly this is one of those local legendary places that has never lived up to its reputation.

Yikes! Where to start… I’ve had 2 interactions with this location and I refuse to have any more. 1st) My husband and I were so excited to have an Austin’s Pizza so close — we’re both big fans and I am gluten-free, so to have a pizza place cater to that was great. Now, I understand that Austin still isn’t on the level of gluten-free-friendliness where we don’t have to pay extra, so I expected the extra fee… but I did not expect a worse-than-microwaved pizza, for more than $ 15! We waited for our pizza and then hopped in the car for the 5 minute drive home… My husband picked up a piece half way home, since the smell was absolutely divine, but to our horror, the crust was basically nothing. The sauce had been entirely absorbed, and anywhere it wasn’t, the dough seemed under-cooked. Needless to say… I’ll still be driving a ways for a gluten-free pizza I don’t make myself. 2nd) My cousin and his wife were staying with us and remembered Austin’s Pizza from their trips down here before, so despite the warning we gave from our previous experience, they ordered some for delivery. Now, they are not gluten-free, so they ordered 2 regular-crust pizzas of different toppings and eagerly awaited their arrival. Ding-Dong, «Did anyone order some disappointment?» OHYES! US… apparently! The regular-crusts were no better, ATALL. Out of 2 large pizzas, less than a quarter of one was eaten. The pizzas were not cooked evenly and the toppings looked to be applied and portioned by a 2 year old… I suggest not wasting your money here… maybe they’ll change… but not on my dollar.

Dear Austin’s Pizza, Your pizza … … is TERRIBLE! We recently ordered a large pizza, half mushroom & sausage, half cheese, The pizza arrived undercooked, almost raw on the bottom. The toppings were sparse at best. This is the most PATHETIC excuse for pizza I have ever seen. I called back and a re-order was delivered. It was barely better than the first. $ 13(plus delivery, plus tax) for a 14″ half-baked pizza with few toppings? What a joke. Do not offer us any coupons or freebies. We will NEVER order another pizza from Austin’s Pizza. Send your area manager to Home Slice, Salvation Pizza or East Side Pies to see what real pizza looks(& tastes) like. You should be ashamed. One star because Unilocal doesn’t allow zero!

Pizza Hut is our typical delivery pizza since its dependable and better than Dominos. Then we found out that Austin Pizza delivers to our house… SCORE! We hadn’t tried it before so we were excited for something new and infamous. Plus…it was delivered in 30 minutes. Minus…for being so speedy it wasn’t piping hot. Minus…the crust wasn’t crusty and crispy. Minus…it just wasn’t good. Order again? Me thinks not.

Austin’s Pizza Southpark Meadows should be commended not only for the food, but for it’s superior customer service. My husband and I eagerly awaited the opening of this location. When we were disappointed that they would not deliver to our neighborhood, I wrote an email to this specific location trying to make my case for pizza delivery. Not only did Director of Sales & Marketing Del Cooney personally email me, but he actually got our neighborhood added to the route! :) Since then, we’ve ordered a few times and the food is not only tasty, but healthy. We really appreciate the whole wheat and gluten free crust options and soy cheese upgrade. Very few pizza delivery places offer these options in our area. Our most recent delivery was about 30 minutes late. I was able to get in touch with Chad at the call center and he automatically gave me 50% off the total cost! The driver who delivered the pizza was cooperative and happy to help. I am always glad to support local businesses, especially those who work very hard to please customers and keep us healthy. :)

Don’t walk past the«employee only» sign… AND the small window where you order. If you keep walking past it, like you’re all smart and stuff, toward the movie theater, you won’t go anywhere. Go back, actually read the sign, and go to the window to order. I hate to say it’s not as good had it been in a actual restaurant, or had it been delivered to my door. It was *pretty* good, but not the awesomeness that I remember. But it’s there. And if you’re at another establishment because a friend works there and have been craving pizza for a few days, it’s open. It’s there. It’s worth it. And they deliver, too. I took a menu. I think next time I’ll have them bring the pie to my house.
