Service is very friendly, meal portion was very good for the price. The owner, Jaime, is very personable. Had the hickory cheesesteak and my wife had a plain one. Queso is very tasty.

What a joke. I’d rather eat subway. I got the Italian sub. More lettuce than meat in this sandwich.

Stopped here today for a quick lunch by a couple of first timers. I had the Founders Favorite and my mom had the chicken wrap. They were both very tasty. The FF had wonderful tasting beef and I liked the add of the jalapenos on top. Nothing was overpowering, so I think the right amount of cheese, mushrooms, sauce and onions was used. The taste was totally focused on the beef. My mom had the chicken wrap, and opted for grilled chicken instead of fried. It was also very good, she loved the guac in the wrap and the chicken tasted tender and well prepared. We had the tortilla chips on the side. No issues with service, although the guy who took our order and brought our food kept wiping his nose, it was enough to be noticed. I didn’t think the wait was long for the food, but it was not busy in the store. I would go back.

Great cheesesteaks, love the Texas one! The rest are pretty awesome though. They serve beer too so it’s a nice place to go after a long day at work. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Do not get the chips and salsa though, they are below average. Comparable to cheap salsa from walmart. But if you’re in the mood for a good sandwich and cold beer here is your place!

I have literally been coming to this restaurant once a week since 1999. The food is very good(I always order the grilled chicken sandwich, or «birdie» as they like to call it), and I am never disappointed. I can’t say enough nice things about this place.

Food is really good. Service is really not. I often pick up dinner for my wife and I here and it always goes the same way. The cashier looks like he really doesn’t want to be there. I get offered a water cup, which is nice. I sit and wait. And wait. Usually a good 10 minutes to get a sandwich and salad. But, the food is really good so we keep coming back.

This is the slowest location. They also don’t keep the sauces out so people have to ask for stuff. If I knew I was going to wait 38 minutes for a friggin cheese steak I would have just made one at home. Screw this place. Yall suck. They slack on the fries too. I am counting 8 fries on my basket. Wtf!!!

Filthy habits, dirty personnel and gristly food! GROSS!!! I haven’t been here for about 5 months and I decided to go today with a friend. We get there and some DIRTY woman, wearing dirty clothes with dirty nails is sweeping and sweeps right over our feet as we enter and acts as though we are in HER way! We order our food. Prices went up. Went to get our fountain drinks, no ice. I told the guy at the counter no ice and the dirty lady heard and she said she would get it but she just kept sweeping. The two people ahead of us tired of waiting and went and sat down. The dirty lady goes to the back of the ice machine WITHOUTWASHINGHERHANDS, straight from scooping up dirt off the floor to putting ice in the ice machine! GROOOOOSSSS! We go sit. Dirty lady delivers our food GROOSSS. Then I take a bite and get gristle. I pull the gristle out and say to who I’m with… this tastes different. Second bite… more gristle! So I tell my friend If I take another bite and there is gristle I’m taking it back. Third bite GRISTLE! So I take the sandwich back to the guy at the counter. I say… I think I have a bad piece of meat, every bite has gristle. My intention was to get a new one with a better cut because I’ve been here a bunch and never a problem. He argues with me about it and says it looks like mushrooms. I said«yes there are mushrooms in the sandwich but there is GRISTLE» He says«WEJUSTCHANGEDOURMEATTHREEMONTHSAGO but I’ll make you a new one if you want» I said I don’t want more gristle and I stood there for just a few seconds thinking he would offer a refund for this over priced inedible sandwich but no, he and dirty girl just stared at me. So I walked back to the table put the sandwich at the edge of the table and we left. I am reporting them to the health board on Monday. That was disgusting. My guess is three months ago they were bought out by someone who has already run this place into the ground. Its bad enough you have inedible food and your people don’t shower but can they at least wash their hands before touching the food or ice? My god! What a filthy disgusting shame.

Yay for trying a new Austin place in my neighborhood! And double yay for it being a tasty joint! Here’s the run down of Texadelphia: 1. This place serves the famous Cheesesteak with fun Texas twists. I love new takes on traditional dishes. I still love a great Philly Cheesesteak, but I do enjoy a fun ‘steak as well! We tried the Founder’s Favorite and the Texican on this visit. Both were really good. The Founder’s had a great mustard sauce on it that really tied the flavors together nicely. The Texican was great as well, especially with the jalapeños and queso sauce. Super tasty! 2. Great variety on the menu. The main event are the numerous cheesesteaks, but there is also sandwiches, burgers, and salads, so they definitely have something for everyone. They even have a few kid meal options as well for your munchkins. 3. Lots of comfy places to sit. It is always nice to enjoy sitting at your table during your meal and enjoying it! 4. Kid’s eat free Mon-Wed after 4pm! Yay for freebies! My only complaints are about the size to cost ratio. For the prices, the sandwiches should have a bit more protein and other stuff. the stuffing to bread ration was a bit heavy on the bread side. Also, the french fry up-charge to switch out the chips is a bit high for the ½ dozen fries you get with your sandwich. I ask thought the kid’s meal is a bit high for what you actually get. So the food is tasty and fun. I will definitely eat here again from time to time. Hopefully I have a coupon or something though to offset the high prices.

For this type of restaurant — order at the counter and they bring you your food — it’s great. The cheesesteaks are tasty and to make it even better, kids eat for free Monday through Wednesday! The price is fine but a better value when you get a couple of free kids meals too! :)

Back in the day, we’d come to this location a couple of times a month, and this place used to have a line hanging out the door during lunch. Came here for lunch with co-workers, and I guess we got lucky because there was barely a line. I got the regular-size Texican which comes with a cup of cheesy goodness. Their meat and bread are medium quality but we only had a 5 minute wait for food. Probably will return.

I was at my bank the other day and needed to grab some lunch before another appointment. I asked my banker what was good around and he mentioned Texadelphia. I had never eaten there, but I’m one of those people that is always searching for«the perfect philly,» so I thought I’d give it a try. It was so-so. Not the worst I’ve had, but definitely not the best. The meat was shaved well, but I didn’t think it had much flavor. The bread was pretty good. Not sure if it was baked there, but at least locally baked I’d say. I always think that good bread it a key ingredient. The customer service was fine. One negative thing was the cheap to go cup they gave me. The dang thing broke open on me just putting the lid on. Anyway, in the end I think it was worth the cost for the sandwich, but I’m not dying to go back. Hope this review helps.

I don’t understand the 3 star reviews — maybe I have a completely different out of body experience every time I eat here. I have had a real Philly Cheesesteak and Texadelphia isn’t trying to replicate it — at least that is my personal opinion. I believe it’s a Philly like sub with a Texas twist. I always order the Texican(beef, jalapenos and queso) and it is consistently yummy. The service has always been great and quick even during peak times.

I give this one an «eh» As per Unilocal rankings, 3 stars is an «A-OK», so I think that fits. I was excited to try this, since a week ago I posted about my search for a French Dip sandwich, and I’d been craving one since then. The first response in the thread was a recommendation for Texadelphia, promising it would be everything I wanted it to be. I strode up to the counter, and searched their giant overhead menu, and alas; no French Dip to be found. I can’t really hold it so much against them, as I was going on third-party information. BUT, I did stand there with a quizzical look on my face perusing the menu for about two minutes, and the girl behind the counter stood in silence. Once or twice as I looked down, she’d lean into the counter as if to let me know she was ready to enter in my order, but as I looked back up, she silently leaned back into her previous resting stance. Not a «Hello» or a «Do you need any help with the menu?» or «WTF do you want?» or «I hate your hair» or even«I can’t stand you, Shoehead!». Just silent indifference. Then, on to disappointment #2– no Swiss cheese as an option. *sigh* I love the flavor combination of beef and Swiss. OK. Another *sigh* So anywho– I’m here, I’m starving. So I order the Classic Philly with cheese-whiz. Yes, I know. Anyway, sandwich, small-ish«medium» drink, and a tip(I always tip on a credit card. It’s against my religion to leave the«tip» line blank.) comes to $ 13. So for what I pay for three full days of groceries, I get a single meal that’s not quite what I wanted. As I walked to the table, I already felt like the experience was a wash. The sandwich was brought to me, and it lived up to the three star«A-OK» rating. Decent sandwich, not dried out. Some cheese-whiz, peppers and mushrooms. It was served with some unexciting ttortilla chips, with – get this – no little thing of salsa of any sort to dip them in. Thirteen bucks for a mediocre sandwich that I didn’t even want, some dry-ass chips, and a diminutive iced tea. Plus side– the sandwich was adequate enough to give my review a third star, rather than a deuce.(That’s the power of beef!) The place was clean, The serving time was quick enough. They do have beer. I may give them one more shot, and order a beer. But why do I feel like their beers won’t be very cold? Just a feeling I get.

Two years ago I gave Texadelphia a try and was not a fan. Last week I got out voted on the work-lunch and decided to make the best of it. I’ll eat my words and say that this time was decidedly different. I had the South Philly sandwich and it was actually pretty decent. Also, the fries were pretty great this time(which is funny, given that the last time I was in the restaurant where they were limp and gross and this time they’d been sitting in a styrofoam to-go container and somehow seemed fresh and tasty). The former experience may have been a fluke. Texadelphia is now back in good graces and I look forward to exploring their other menu items.

boyfriend is the cheesesteak guy, not me so I ordered the Italian sub and wow. It was really good. my boyfriend had the cuban cheesesteak, the waiter commented how it was how favorite, anyways, he loved it.(I used whatever spicy mustard came with his Cuban on my Italian and it was the best idea ever). Anyways, really liked this place. Plan to be back soon
