We arrived at the WCPRD because I needed a workout and it was $ 3. When we arrived we were greeted by a huddle of sweet, older ladies who warned us to go back to our car and remove all of our valuables. Apparently they’ve had trouble in the past with thieves watching the parking lot and waiting for people to leave and then they launch. So we went back to the car and gathered by purse and some other items for our workout or they offer a small space behind the front desk for valuables. All of this took a chunk of time but after we settled we were sold a 10 pass card for $ 20 which is very reasonable. We walked around the entire facility which is dingy and dark and could actually be a little creepy in the right circumstance. They have a large lap pool, a snack area, an older workout area(weights & cardio) and a really nice indoor tennis setup. The tennis setup was by far the best part. I’m not sure if tennis was included though? the fee structure was a little confusing and I think some things are extra. The weight room was a total meat market but there was a sweet little old man running the place. It’s hard to say anything bad about it as I have a complete soft spot for little old men. They have all the basics like treadmills, ellipticals, cycles, free weights, and other various machines. They also offer plenty of wipes and hand sanitizing stations which to me is critical for a gym. I don’t know if I could workout here everyday just because the atmoshpehere feels repressed but for $ 2 a visit I will swing by when desperate.

This review is for Tower Park, which is on the same property as the rec center. I spend a great deal of time here, year after year, as one of my kids plays soccer with BWSC and this is their training location during the season. Honestly, it’s not my favorite for soccer. Parking for the sports fields is not sufficient at all and it creates an absolute madhouse just attempting to drop or pick up your child… nonetheless actually walk them to a field! The positives at this location include the walking/jogging path, and a newly discovered gem for me, the DOGPARK. They have two dog parks actually, one for small and another for large dogs. My lab is loving it there! Unfortunately, when it rains, the large dog area floods in one section creating a big mess that’s hard to keep the dogs out of. But, there are several benches for mommies/daddies, there are random balls for fetch, water for the dogs plus baggies in case they«feel the need» while there, and even cute little faux water hydrants. hehe I’m giving it 3 stars because this review is for tower park in general. If it was just the dog park, I’d give it 4 stars! Check it out.

Very nice place — clean and well staffed. Plenty of parking. The ISC(Indoor Sports Complex) is great for swimming. (Tip: Don’t be a douche bag and park in the round-about drop-off. Even for a minute. There is plenty of legit parking.)

John D sized this place up well. It’s easy to get in and out with no traffic concerns likes some other gyms in the area. It’s a great location and great facility.

Huge swimming pool areas with a warm up only pool as well. Nice, large workout room with multiple treadmills and ecliptical machines(no wait time!!) An area for free weights(could be a tad bit larger though). Indoor tennis courts in the back of the facility. For the yearly cost and multiple locations, this is a great facility.
