I’ve been here twice and I absolutely adore this bar. Now to be fair, when I come here, I’m a tagalong to a bunch of regulars who are very much loved, so I tend to get spoiled(in other words, I barely wait 2 minutes for a drink refill. Go ahead, be jealous). The two times that I’ve been there have been their Thursday Trivia night which is honestly a ton of fun. There are free drink giveaways in between rounds and the host is pretty funny. The waitress there, Rachel, is as sweet as pie and by the time you leave you’ll absolutely be getting a hug from her like you’ve known her for years. The beer selection is okay, more craft beers than anything, but still good. As for the food, I can only speak for the burger and fries which were both very flavorful, but I’ve heard their pizza(they have their own pizza oven!) is absolutely amazing. I really wish I lived closer so I could frequent this place more often, but then again, its nice to experience things once in a while so you can really appreciate how great it is!

My bf and I came here on a weekday, I believe like a Monday night. It’s your typical regular bar on a weekday lol. When we arrived there it seemed like a ghost town outside. We didn’t order food, but beers are well priced. We were with a bunch of people who actually go here on a regular, so we went to the back area and set the tables up for beer pong. Lighting was def. off in the back room.

Not much else around here, but that’s not why you should make time on your ikea mission to stop in here. The food is very good and I’ve always had an interesting time chatting to the bartenders and locals.

My boyfriend and I came here after our trip to Ikea and we needed to eat because we were getting HANGRY! Overall it was really good, but we did order an appetizer that took way too long to come out(Mozzarella Sticks.) We also ordered a pizza. That pizza was delicious. The crust was so crispy and delicious. I will definitely be back if I’m at Ikea and maybe even if I’m not the pizza was that good!

Maybe the friendliest people I have ever met A grilled cheese with French fries is $ 5. The wings are amazing and I’m from Buffalo. Drop your girlfriend off at IKEA and let George get you a bud bottle.

Went in on a random Tuesday afternoon, obviously not crowded but had a blast! Our server/waitress was great. She was very attentive and when I could not finish my shepherds pie, she asked if I had enjoyed it, with a very concerning look, I proceeded to tell her I absolutely had but was already stuffed! She packaged it on a to go container for me! She was amazing! My date ordered the Roast beef sandwich which was the most amazing roast beef sandwich I ever tasted, super moist and tasty! We had Guinness which was poured properly. Love, love this place will definitely come back!

Love this place! I think it’s our«new spot». The thin crust pizza is so good, we went back 2 nights in a row. Wood burning oven pizza. The wings, and blt are really good, as well. I like the darkness, and paper plates. Just real casual, and no frills. George the bartender super nice, and gave us some tips on reheating their pizza, menu suggestions, and a buy-back to welcome us to the hood. Def will be back, a lot.

A little out of the way but otherwise, Rocky Sullivan’s is A-OK! Last week, a couple of friends and I found ourselves having a late lunch here. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and for just $ 5, was served both that and a side of fries. While the sandwich could have been better grilled, and the fries were a bit soggy, both were nonetheless satisfactory. And for $ 5, or a $ 1 less than the draft beer that I also ordered, I couldn’t really complain! My friends were satisfied with their food, as well. While I am glad that I ordered a local draft– after all, it is a pub!- this was only after I was told that they were completely out of regular cola, and only had diet. Ew. Diet soda shouldn’t exist. I’ll take a beer over that any day!

We stopped in on Saturday for the first time to try some pizza and beer. We got the Margherita pizza and the Greek pizza along with some beer and both were INCREDIBLYDELICIOUS! The pizza is made to order with crackly, thin crust and tons of gooey mozzerella. Mmmmmmm!

Beer, booze, irish language classes, trivia nights, live music, a rooftop, and delicious pizza. I love this place so much. SOMUCH. I deeply wanted to spend Saint Patrick’s Day here this year but alas I had to work. I wish I lived around the block and this would be my third place. As it is I live a 20 minute walk away, and my husband and I still come here as much as we can because it makes me happy.

Ok I get that I should stop ordering grilled cheese out and that it’s easy to make at home… but man I love their grilled cheese. I worked nearby for a project, and this was where I’d go to wait for rush hour to end. Or to watch football matches. Or to just… hang! I love low-key bars where you can just go and you know you’ll have good, solid service and a good time. I have to say my favorite time here was watching a World Cup match with one of my favorite friends, where the bar was packed with just about every type of person you could imagine… including ages 3 to 83. Truly a neighborhood bar. I just wish it were in my neighborhood!

My boyfriend and I planned a trip to IKEA nearby and decided to stop by Rocky Sullivan’s on the way there. Needless to say, we never made it to IKEA. The pizza here is absolutely delicious. I will go as far as to say this is the best pizza I’ve had in NY(I’m native NYer). We ordered the Margarita pie with pepperoni. The crust was thin and crunchy. The sauce was sweet and perfectly seasoned. We had a beer each and headed home. Totally worth the trek to Red Hook– easily accessible by bus B61. Looking forward to our next visit!

Went here with friends for some rooftop drinking on a nice Sunday afternoon to find out that the roof has been closed because Six Point Brewery took it over. We were pretty bummed but stuck around for a round of drinks. They offer a nice selection of beers on tap. The table we sat at, along with our menus, had a layer of sticky grime on it, which was a turn off. We considered ordering food, but opted to try some place else. Everyone seemed friendly, and there was a crowd of local regulars, unfortunately it just didn’t give us what we were looking for during our visit. Perhaps I should give it another try based on previous reviews and see if maybe I missed something.

This bar is like my home away from home. The atmosphere is great, the bar staff outstanding. They make a brick oven pizza to die for. Live music on Saturday night. The pub quizz on Thursday night makes Thursday at Rocky’s a fantastically fun time. If shopping is your thing, IKEA is just one block away. B61bus stops at their front door and the IKEAWATERFERRY to and from Wall Street is only about two blocks away in back of IKEA. I’ts FREE on the weekend.

Best pizza in NYC, hands down. True old school New York spot. Rooftop and lobster specials in the summer are awesome too. I still pray every time I walk in that it won’t be the day it’s filled with hipsters. Still all clear ;)

Went there for the first time to see a favorite band«Streams of Whiskey» great craic indeed. Bar was great, parking was plenty and the atmosphere was electric — with a great staff and bartenders — ‘Bhi craic agus ceol againn’ :) Best bar in Red Hook!

I’m a little in love with this place, even worth hiking out in the freezing cold. Took a free Gaelic class they put together in the back room with a friend of mine, but the bar itself charmed me and the bartender was awesome. I’m going back, even if I have to hike out to Red Hook to do it.

Far & away one of my favorite bars in all of Brooklyn. My only gripe with it is that it’s in Red Hook, which can be a serious pain in the butt to get to, but Rocky Sullivan’s is worth the trek. I’ve never had a bad time at Rocky’s. The bartenders/waitstaff are always fun & friendly. The roof is wonderful on a summers day. They’ve got a dart board and plenty of seating options. Oh, and the bar food is always consistent and delicious. Really there’s nothing not to love about this gem of a spot in the heart of Red Hook. Just go.

This is not the easiest bar to find, but it is easy to enjoy. I stopped in for one last drink at the end of a Friday night. Tried a tasty porter-style beer and hung around long enough to catch some classic rock from a live band in the next room. All good stuff. Hoping to make it back when I can enjoy some pizza(smelled great), trivia and the roof. i’d happily give them a few more stars if they can up their craft beer options on draft:)

This place has really good pizza. We were a group of 13 and were able to put some tables together to fit all of us with plenty of space to spare. The waiting staff was very nice.
