Best Nachos ever, each one with meat and cheese it’s not like other places where they just throw a hole bunch of chips and then meat on top and everything is a mess this one is made to perfection!!!

TLPP, I’m so sorry that I expected more from you. I had your bisteca frita once before. Service was fast. It was delicious. It was filling. You were great! So why did my three beef tacos take forever to make? And more importantly, why were they so underwhelming(check pic)? Tiny, mediocre and rather expensive. I asked for 3 regular-sized tacos(small is $ 1.5, reg $ 2.5) and took a barely-cool Jarritos from your fridge. You charged me $ 10.xx. Fair enough, I guess after tax. But after waiting what seemed like an hour, was actually only 25 – 30 minutes, you gave me a tiny brown bag. Whatever, I jetted out of there to go home and enjoy my tacos. I did not. Again, check pic. I could’ve ordered way better tacos from my couch and have them delivered for the same price. (At least the counter lady was nice.) 2-star because(I think) I’m a nice person and my previous order was good. But I most definitely won’t come back unless I’m starving and you’re the last place open(highly unlikely).

Okay, so I’ve deliberated about this a bunch. Here are my thoughts: The food and the price are amazing. Really, really amazing Mexican food for a super-cheap price. But that said… their customer service needs a *lot* of work. I have to call, on average, five-to-ten-times straight to get them to pick up the phone, regardless of hour or how busy they are. Sometimes they never pick up, regardless of how much I call — and this is during their operating hours. The one waitress who speaks fluent english has told me it’s because they get super-busy sometimes, or that it’s because their credit card processing machine uses the same line… … but these are not peak hours I’m calling during, and very frequently I’ve been there, in the restaurant, and watched them blatantly ignore the phone ring off-the-hook for five minutes straight. — The worst of it? Last time I tried to order there it was a bit before 9:30 at night; they were to close at ten. I started trying to call, and they didn’t pick up for fifteen minutes straight. When they finally did? I was told that it was too late as they closed at 9:45. A) That’s not their posted hours B) It was now 9:46, one minute past said time C) I had been trying to call for over fifteen minutes straight D) I had started calling well before their closing time When I tried to point this out to them? I got hung up on. I tried to call back, and they picked up the phone and hung it up without a word. Then they stopped picking up altogether. — So… at this point, I’m very confused as to what to do here. They’re my favorite food in the neighborhood. They’re extremely local. They’re *incredibly* well priced. And yet… I don’t know if I want to support a business that treats their customers that way :-/

Yummy tacos for the price. I live around the block so my roommates and I are regulars. Every taco is great. They also have delicious guacamole. Come here! You won’t regret it if you’re in the area. It’s not worth the trek from another neighborhood, but it’s delicious if you are near and hungry

Most authentic Mexican food I’ve found in Brooklyn. Not great for a quick lunch as they prepare the food when you order it(so it takes some time), but it is so worth it if you have a few extra minutes. My go to is the tacos al pastor, but I haven’t had anything here that I didn’t like. As for drinks, they have a selection of Mexican sodas and juices, but the best thing is their horchata! So good!

Super fresh, wonderfully delicious, and totally not confused by the fact that I wanted one order to stay and one to go, because I didn’t want to wait for my tacos but my boyfriend at home was going to have to. Maybe technically I should have gotten two tacos. They’re huge and really filling but I had a suspicion they were going to be excellent and I am not over here often so I couldn’t choose. Glad I didn’t — better to be too full on excellent nongreasy tacos than to regret the taco I didn’t order.

I’m a San Francisco native and for years have been trying to find a taqueria that even comes close to meeting my «Cali-standards». This place was mouth watering! I ordered 3 tacos — one lengua, one barbacoa, and one carne asada. The lengua was suuuuper tender and scrumptious. The barbacoa was so flavorful. The carne asada was a little dry, but still good. The tacos were so perfect and simple with just onions, cilantro and salsa, PLUS, a dollop of super yummy guacamole made of just mashed avocado… no extras. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for an authentic taco and missing California!

Amazing tacos. It’s just as amazing as the best ones I’ve had in California. Try their tacos without guac. Their tamales are to die for as well. Great service, great food. A solid A!

You want good Mexican food at a good price? You want great décor and atmosphere? Go to Placita. Their enchiladas are a staple in my diet.

Ridiculously clueless waitstaff here. I ordered in Spanish no less, and they still screwed up my order. The lady running the counter acts as though she is in another world, maybe she was having an off night. I ordered chorizo tacos and received carne asada, and they were not good at all. I ordered chips and guacamole and received a platter of French fries(I never once said papas fritas). This was a real disappoint because I had just finished a 12 hour shift at work and I was famished. I wouldn’t give this place another shot. I suggest you walk further down Broadway and go to cholulita bella.

Coming from El Paso, TX, this place hit the spot. Very unique tacos and great beans and rice. Both the red and green cheese enchilada plates were amazing and I can honestly say that this place reminded me of home. The server was so nice and the Mexican soda was something I couldn’t say no to. Great place.

It’s always a good sign when the owner only speaks Spanish and patrons dining were all Mexican. The décor is simple, clean and authentic. Everyone’s order took some time. Nothing was browning by a window, ready to go. We ordered chalupas in 4 different meats just to try them out. By far, the best was the pulled pork(al pastor style). I also got a Chicken sandwich(torta) which came toasted with a mayo/guac spread. Everything tasted good. Super cheap prices.

This is my favorite taqueria in NYC, but it’s also close to me so I haven’t gotten a chance to try the other taquerias. You get guac, onions, cilantro and meat in two corn tortillas(a taco) for like $ 2.50, and the meat is soft and has plenty of flavor. Lately I’ve been getting the lengua platillo where they give you a side of corn tortillas with a GIANT plate of lengua and rice and beans. So you can basically make like 5 of your own tacos if you’re feeling especially hungry. The only thing I don’t like about this place is the lady up in the front. She has the worst attitude ever. And once I ordered a platillo and forgot to say whether I wanted green or red sauce so she just gives me one WITHOUTANYSAUCE. You couldn’t have ASKED which one I wanted or confirmed that I didn’t want any sauce. Like do you really think I want to eat bland tongue? Also, forget the Californians talking about the burrito. Burritos are a california thing. so shut up. These people are mexican.

I paid $ 8 for chalupas that were 10x better tasting than the same Mexican food that I’ve pain more than $ 20 for And that’s all I have to say about that

I hope my review isn’t skewed by the fact that I just returned from a trip to San Francisco. I ordered a vegetarian burrito(which I was delighted they offered– points for that). It was $ 7, which I believe is pretty expensive for such a thing, but is unfortunately a pretty normal price for this city. It was tiny and most of the ingredients described to me were outside the burrito(sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, tomato). There were about 10 beans in the whole thing. It did come with a small side of fries, which were mediocre frozen fries, but a pleasant surprise anyway. The tortilla itself was pretty good. It tasted fine, and I ate the whole thing(it was like 5 bites) but I don’t think I need to go back. East coast– why can’t you make a great burrito?
