My husband and I had a beautiful breakfast together. The staff was very gracious, fast with our order and kept the coffee coming. There was smiles on their faces which indicates they love what they do. The food was awesome. We will be back again.

I was starved for breakfast, and only knew that I wanted eggs. I decided to try this restaurant where I ordered the Healthy Choice Omelette(egg whites, fresh turkey, broccoli, tomatoes, onions, no mushrooms, served with buttered toast, lettuce & tomatoes) for $ 11.95. It also comes with your choice of orange juice, coffee, or tea. I preferred orange juice, too bad it had no pulp. The omelette was very light and lived up to its name. I need some spice in my life next time I dine in. I definitely must try the pistachio truffle(pistachio ice cream covered in white chocolate). Great space for a quick bite on a Sunday. There weren’t a lot of customers so no wait time on food. I liked the different seating options(main dining area, ground floor, and outdoors). This place is huge. Single bathroom way in the back, one for men and one for the ladies was small.

I just want to say how great this place is, I have been here twice and both have been great experiences. When I first walked up and looked at their prices it was a little pricey for me(being a 23 yr old grad student only capable of getting internships) but man was it worth it(expect about 10 – 15 a person) I ordered their cheeseburger with just tomatoes; flavor was delicious, proportions are HUGE and perfect for my big appetite. Fries were perfect, and greatly priced at around 10 dollars minus a drink.(sodas are 1.75, unsure of refills but havnt needed one). Today I got the fetticini alfredo(no meat) and an order of terimisu, although i havnt tried to dessert yet since I had to take it home due to the size of the main course, it looks delicious. the pasta was probably the best I have had because the sauce was so rich and butter and cheesy, only needing a little bit of salt but was so good. I also go a BASKET of garlic bread(came with the meal) and this cost about 9.5 bucks since I didnt get meat on it, and a soda(1.75) amd the dessert was under 4 bucks. The service has been spectacular each time, very friendly and there when I need but not always in my face when I dont, that perfect combo of service. the atmosphere is great, strangely seems open even though its crowded with tables, noise levels arent overwhelming and they accept debit cards(which in this town is a god sent). DEFINITLY coming back and bringing family and friends. Probably can hold big groups but nothing more than 8 max and even that would probably be hard. Would recommend medium groups(6 to 4) or dates or by yourself. All is accomidated THANKYOUGUYS!

Had the feta omelet with a very generous side of avocado. Excellent. Our waiter was very efficient and friendly. Will definitely be back.

I have been here once and it was enough to have a full picture of this place. It’s neat and clean. Burgers are big and Tasty, I tried a cheeseburger and my friend got deluxe burger, he said he liked it but I thought that there wasn’t enough vegetables. We got our burgers soon very soon after we orders them so I would say that service was fast. They weren’t too friendly but they were polite anyway.

When in Montague, Brooklyn Heights, or visiting Brooklyn Promenade, try to visit Grand Canyon Restaurant if you are on a budget. Price can suit your taste. They have a wide array of food selection. Service is great. Homey ambiance. Near metro station 2345.

Burgers are HUGE and the price tag is pretty big as well. I have to admit, its just a regular dinner but the burgers are very good. I did have the coffee and it wasn’t that great at all. But those burgers and thick fries will keep me coming back but places like this I feel are in danger, those who hang their hat on burgers, considering all these really good burger joint/fast food places such as Shake Shack, Smashburger, etc…

We’ve eaten here about ten times in the last few months and have been pleased every time. The menu is large and the prices are fair. Their wait staff is very kind and accommodating. We’ve eaten breakfast(egg sandwiches are done very well, the bacon is not that spongy fatty junk you get in a lot of places, Belgian waffles are fantastic), sandwiches(the wraps/paninis are a good size and come with tasty ingredients), burgers(lots of choices, plenty of beef), and soups(the chicken and beef barley are especially good on cold days). The chili is super filling and tasty. There’s always a good amount of people dining, but never too many where you can’t get a seat!

Talk about the worst delivery. Food came in styrofoam and it was too soggy. Other places at least put in a steam vent. The sandwich was pushed in a spot of the container and broke apart when I picked it up. Also, for $ 12.00, I should have received more French fries other than the 12 pieces that came.

Good portion sizes for agreeable prices. Attentive staff. I definitely recommend them for a nice brunch and they have a patio for nicer weather days. Good beers and mimosas are available for your midday outing.

I’ve been here a couple of times and since its a diner, I’ve had things from all over the menu. I haven’t gotten anything bad so far. Usually I order from the lunch menu so I don’t end up overspending, and I think that’s the key to doing well here. I wouldn’t pay full price, because its not really mindblowing stuff. In recent memory I can say I’ve had the roast beef sandwich(combo) and the california chicken wrap. Both were really good. People love the burgers here as they’re fairly big, and I’ll be trying those soon.

I have been twice so far and that is no where near enough times! My last visit I had the half BBQ chicken with rice! It looked like a chicken and half, that’s how big the portion was and for a great price. My co-worker had the steak sandwich and he raves about that as well. I tried to sneak a bite when he wasn’t looking but I got caught. Oh well, next time. The menu is quite extensive and fairly priced. The left side of the first page is the«hidden gem» list in my opinion.(The items in red writing). Come here with an appetite, you won’t be disappointed.

I had beer and greek salad here at past 10pm on a weekend with a friend who lives nearby. The place looks like it’s been there forever, and I’m surprised that one of the owners(or probably the owner himself) was around and involved in the operations. How do I know this? My friend was chatting with him, and I heard him tell my friend when he acquired this business. And my friend & I had more beer. It was a good late dinner, I have to add.

This was one of those«let’s wing it and see if it’s good» places. Food wasn’t that expensive. However, I was pretty sad to see that they serve french fries instead of homefries with your breakfast. The Chicken rice soup was delicious! Had a sore throat, so it helped. The vegetable omelette was good and the chocolate chip wheat pancakes hit the spot. Interior was very cute. Service was good. If the weather was nicer, I would’ve wanted to try sitting outside.

As I’m a student nearby and my girlfriend lives a couple of blocks away, I’ve found myself at Grand Canyon quite a number of times, and I always enjoy it. The service is always quick and friendly from their manager to their hostess/cashier to their waiters and to their busboys. We are both fans of their burgers and their breakfast selection, as the portions are plentiful and the taste and quality are great. She loves their California omelette, which is packed with vegetables including avocado, while I alternate between their deluxe burgers or two eggs over easy with sausage and an order of pancakes(breakfast is available all day!) This isn’t a conventional diner as their default starch is potato wedges instead of home fries or french fries. This isn’t a bad thing, but it is something I want to note in case you aren’t a fan of wedges. I have yet to have had any of my dishes cooked less than perfectly, and for a place that can get quite busy, this says a lot about the way the restaurant is run. As is typical of diners, you’ll be given a menu of dozens and dozens of items many of which the vast majority of patrons usually ignore because, well, it’s a diner. The only reason I didn’t give this place a full 5 star rating is because when compared to some of my all time favorite diners, it falls Just short of that top tier. In addition, the prices are slightly high when compared to other diners. If you love breakfast or a juicy burger, steer your way to Grand Canyon; you won’t be disappointed! PS: They’re also available on Seamless, which, come on, is just great.

We stopped in here for brunch before leaving Brooklyn for no other reason than we were starving & it was the first place we found on our walk. The service was great, if not a little confusing — we seemed to have different people seat us, take our drink order, serve our drinks, take our food order, and serve our food. Seemed like way too many people for a moderately busy morning. The food was okay… super crispy and delicious bacon, but the eggs were basically tasteless and the hash browns were inedible. An okay experience, but I wouldn’t go back!

Some days are better than others for breakfast/brunch. Foods ok and quick, but the speed at times can affect the quality. The prices are a bit high for what you get. $ 38 tip included for the food in the pic along with a large grapefruit juice and OJ. If the food was better I wouldn’t mind the price, but since it wasn’t the cost stings a bit more. They have a brunch special for $ 14.95 mimosa or coffee tea or OJ along with your food order. I would skip this place if I were you.

Friday Lunch Special included a turkey sandwich, with fries, and a Manhattan clam chowder, all for around 10 bucks. That was my meal and it was quite good. Grand Canyon Restaurant is a diner without the title of diner. Matter of fact, the name itself is kind of strange, but what can you do about it. Went here with a few coworkers for lunch and knew what I wanted the minute I looked at the menu. The sandwich was good but smaller compared to my coworkers’ meal. Which leads to a trade off. Do I want a variety of food or a bigger sandwich. I am pleased with my choice. The soup was quite good as was the sandwich. The fries were also steak fries, which was a delightful surprise and the server was attentive. There were plenty of them around as well. My only concern with this place is that a lot of their items are expensive. Very expensive. Like 12 to 15 dollars for a burger and fries when Shake Shack and several other burger joints are around the corner. I will probably be back here with my coworkers again and am hoping that they have good deals on the other days of the week because, well, I don’t think this food is good enough to break the bank.

The boyfriend & I’ve walked by this place for a few times now and I was always curious to see what’s inside and take a look. Finally, we did for Valentine’s Day Lunch. They must be doing something right because the restaurant was filled with customers & a lot of orders and can’t forget about the food. Overall, the service was pretty darn good and the food, delicious! top notch! Eggplant Parmigiana Sandwich — It wasn’t too big nor too small, it was just right! I loved how they slapped the cheese on the eggplant and it was a lot of cheese & totally tasty. This was probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve had so far! Top notch! Chicken Noodle Soup — I’ve had better but overall, it was pretty darn tasty. The only thing I have to complain about is that it was a little oversalted, that’s all. Deluxe Mushroom Burger — This burger was alright, I’ve had better. They should totally have added much more mushrooms and oh my gosh, the beef patty was so thick! The only thing I have to complain is that it lacked a little flavor and seasoning. So not a bad diner at all, the experience was good. Although there were a few grey areas, I’ll still come back here to try some more foods =]
