I normally come out for the R&B trivia night on Mondays but definitely one of my favorite atmospheres on Broadway. Happy Hour here is one of my favorites, honestly probably one of the best I’ve ever seen. $ 5 for cheeseburger and fries, wells, drafts… I’m all for it!

I really wanted to like this place because it looks cute and the vibe was really great BUT I truly received the worst service I’ve ever received in my life from the bartender here. I met up with my friend and sat at the bar for at least 10 minutes while he completely ignored me even though he wasn’t busy. I couldn’t catch any eye contact. Then his two friends walked in and sat down next to us and he proceeded to chat with them for a while, made them specialty cocktails«on the house», after which I FINALLY was able to order a glass of wine. He then went on to do shots with them right in front of us(which is highly unprofessional imo), again ignoring my friend who was ready for another drink. Every interaction I managed to get from him was cold and rude. I’m a waitress so I’m particular about service, but even my kind friend remarked on it. Please address this issue with him, it was totally unacceptable behavior.(It was a bald(shaved head) bartender working on Thursday night.)

Trophy bar has a great happy hour deal! It’s a cute little bar. I went there last night with 3 other people and we got 3 drinks,(2 beers & a margarita) 2 cheeseburgers with fries and 2 grilled cheese and spent $ 37! Another plus is that this happy hour is till 8pm!

This place was so chill! I went on first date here last night and we were able to snag the corner pocket of the bar with the leather seats. The vibe & atmosphere of the bar is great but beside the solid drinks my favorite thing was the music. They were playing old school hip hop to today’s music like MIA& Missy Elliot. It was just cool

Best happy hour in Brooklyn. The veggie burger is amazing. Their cocktails are great. In the summer I usually get their michealada and in the winter a mulled wine. The trophy nachos are addicting, I would definitely recommend going here. Great late night spot.

Trophy Bar has one of the best happy hours in NYC. I find it a challenge to find a good food menu or one at all during happy hour for special prices. And what I love about this menu is that I can even get a homemade VEGGIEBURGER with fries for only Five Buckaroos! How many places can you say you had a full dinner for $ 5, happy hour or not?! The burger is also of a Shake Shack level of veggie burgers. The patty is made of chickpeas, sweet potato, cranberry, walnut patty with juicy tomatoes, greens and a side of Tzatziki, The fries remind me of the comfort fast food joints, they are thin but tasty. They also have a jalapeñofest order of nachos for group. I love the shishito peppers! They’re are roasted and melt into your mouth. The grilled cheese is pretty standard, not too exciting. The crafty beers I love so much are also only $ 5. I always order Bell’s Two Hearted IPA. It’s ridiculously flavorful, easily a favorite IPA. I guess if I am trying to be good, I have been known to order a gin and soda since, wells are also on special, along with margaritas, sangria and bloody marys. In the summer/fall/spring it has a huge and well decorated patio. There’s even sections for the smokers and non-smokers. I love patios and Trophy is off the beaten path so you don’t have to deal with too many people and instead enjoy the atmosphere. This is also the perfect place to hit up for food and drink before or after the Mishka events across the street. If you don’t know Mishka, you have to go and be ready to spend some dough.

Updated review: A few day after this initial review, I got a message from Jim(an owner). He apologized for the issue that I had at the bar. From my previous review, I did not have an issue with the bar besides the bill and my bank informing me that multiple charges had been attempted on my card. Actually, I liked the chill and relaxed vibe that Trophy Bar has. The candle lit, dim bar itself is kind of dark, intimate, and spooky all in a good way. Plus, it could be an excellent pit stop if you live a few stops further in Brooklyn on the J train; it is only a couple of blocks away from the Marcy stop. I will say that the bar has an excellent array of cocktails and the bartender, Conner, was very skilled in preparing the cocktails. «Call me Cait», with a mixture of Hendricks, champagne, and some other stuff, was my favorite drink of the night. There was another gin-based drink that I enjoyed but I have forgotten its name :(. Drop by grab a drink or eight. Hopefully, the issue with the bar’s POS software has been fixed. Oh, that would be Point of Sale for POS and not«piece of shit». «Trophies for Ripping Off People» I wish that I could give this place a zero star. I came here and everything was chill and cool. The bar had a variety of delicious and interesting cocktails, wines, and beers and the bartender, «Conner», was cool. My friend and I were having beverages and a grand old time. Then the bill(S) arrived. So my tab was 84 bucks but there was another tab that was 62 bucks. So, I inquired what was going on(I may drink a lot but I still know how to count). Mr Conner assured me that it was an issue with the POS system and he offered to refund the 84 bucks. So, I am thinking cool beans and my friend even dropped 20 bucks for Conner’s tip. Later on that night, I try to withdraw money from an ATM and my card keeps getting declined which does not many any sense because I know I have money in that account. So, I call Chase bank and I find that THREE separate $ 54 dollars charges were made on my on my card from trophy bar. Obviously, the bank tagged this as suspicious activity. Like who is not going to monitor his/her bank transactions after you have give him/her a bogus check? If you come here bring cash, order one drink, and bounce.

Modern, clean dive bar with really good happy hour till 8pm — even on the weekends! They actually mix their own happy hour margaritas instead of just pouring from a sloppy premixed vat — big up on that. They have a food specials too — cheap diner food and bar food. Friendly service from the bartenders. Wasn’t too crazy on a Saturday at happy hour, it definitely starts to pick toward the end. The space has a cool, laid back maybe 90s feel to it. They have a DJ booth and a small dance floor, so I’m sure it picks up at night. Seems like it would be a really fun place with a nice, chill crowd that just likes to have fun. Happy hour crowd was nice and mellow.

If you’re looking for a decent happy hour with plenty of breathing room, Trophy Bar is a good pick. The main draw was their decently sized patio, which I didn’t get to fully enjoy(read below), and a happy hour special that includes $ 5 burgers and fries. Say what? I knew I’d be more hungry than thirsty on this particular day, so it sounded like the right choice, and indeed it was. The happy hour burger and fries were by no means«watered down» versions, and if they were, I’m eager to try them outside of happy hour because they were deeeeelicious. My burger was very flavorful and juicy. The thinly cut fries were salted well and ranged from crispy to soggy, but I like both so no complaints here. My friend also got an order of the cheese fries, which have a bit of kick thanks to the jalapenos, and they too were very good. The topping of fresh scallions added a nice contrast in flavor and texture. Yum. In terms of drinks, happy hour includes $ 5 wells, wine, and beer + $ 5 margaritas, bloody marys(maries?), and sangria. I opted for the bloody mary because I honestly haven’t had many in my life so I figured why not? It was smooth sailing before I got my food but something about the savoriness of my meal or my ketchup-dipped fries didn’t complementing the drink nicely. Too much tomato after a certain point. I guess there’s a reason I stayed from them but hey, I got my fill of veggies for the day, right… No? A couple of gripes: — You can only order food at the bar, and the wait times aren’t great. The bartender apologized for the wait though, which was appreciated. — The«no smoking» policy in the patio wasn’t enforced. My friends didn’t want to make a fuss so we moved inside, but read the signs, jackasses. There are multiple.

I’m not mad at any place that has daily happy hour until 8pm, even on weekends! I came here on a early Sunday evening to meet up with friends and there was a cool DJ spinning and $ 5 burgers. The crowd was a decent mix of cool(but not tooooo cool) kids and it had a very neighborhood-y vibe. Also, cute dudes. Yeah… I’ll be back.

This place was packed on Saturday, not sure because it was my friend’s F going away, but yeah, I can’t say much about this place, since I was pretty dead by the time I got here. My friends seem to like this place, so okay… I will be back to check this place out when I am up and lively.

Terrible bar with horrendous DJs. Requested a song from the DJ and he didn’t like the song request so he stopped the music all together and threw a hissy fit.

I have lived damn close to this place for over a year and finally figured it was worth checking out the happy hour. First impressions took me back a little. I was thinking something a lot more divey for an under the elevated train and in the neighborhood for years kinda bar. The place is just… too clean and kind of plastic. Anyway I sat down at the bar and it took the bartender at least 5 minutes to acknowledge my existence as she fiddled with the same mixed drink and talked to someone. Once she did I ordered a beer and a burger. The happy hour special here is something great: $ 4 tap beers(including bells) and well drinks, and $ 5 cheeseburger. That means $ 12 with a good tip for a beer and a burger, not bad at all. Burger came 10m or so later — I was happily surprised to see it came with fries. Digging in the fries were the shoestring variety and a little too salty but otherwise alright. The burger however was just ok. I question the choice of toppings being a thin piece of cheese, half a tomato and a shitload of mayo. The bun was the crumbly by default sesame seed variety which isn’t my favorite but I won’t hold against it. I finished my meal and went to pay — that was another 5 minute wait trying to get the bartenders attention. All in all this place is alright. I would come back but I won’t be drawn back. Rye is a short walk away for a vastly superior burger for $ 5 and amazing old-fashioneds.

Perhaps you’ll like Trophy if you like your bars the way you like your wife– young, attractive and void of any real substance. It’s a gorgeous space but Williamsburg is no longer my preferred Brooklyn neighborhood when I am in New York due to the overpopulated bar scene. Hundreds of 20-something hipsters packed into a shoebox, it took maybe 15 minutes to order a drink from a bar backed up 6 lines deep of thirsty customers and a team of snoody bartenders. Maybe I am just a really old 25 but I don’t care about dance floors, 4am last calls and crowded venues. I want a good selection on tap and a place to sit down. I also like to be in the sack by 11pm so maybe it’s not Trophy. Yeah, it’s definitely me. Carry on, Trophy Wife.

Well, the service may not necessarily blow your socks off… But Trophy Bar is a solid destination for good tunes, good bar bites, and affordable drinks that may make you believe you’re consuming adult libations in some other city that’s totally not New York. Dotting the food menu you’ll find familiar items like nachos, chips & guac, wings, et al… Certainly tasty stuff and the price point won’t make you cringe. The same goes for their cocktails. Ranging anywhere from $ 7 — $ 12, you can get out of there with a couple of drinks under your belt and enough cash to throw down on a Metro Card shortly thereafter. I’d explain their service behind the bar as amusingly aloof. It seems at times they’re almost trying to make you question what’s going though their minds or if they even see you at all standing two feet away. Depending on your tolerance it may or may not be totally annoying. I just find it to be somewhat hilarious personally.

Tough to get to without a bike, but it is in BK… so that shouldn’t be too much a problem to those who’d visit this place. As one who rarely imbibes in the county of Kings(BK), I was pretty impressed with this particular bar. I went for a pop up dinner by Mike Mora’s Corazon(check my previous review), and this bar was the perfect venue. Cheap @ss beer, a sizable bar with seating, and a great outdoor area. I should add, booze is cheap even when it’s not happy hour! I got here a bit after 8:00, missing their happy hour, which apparently also includes $ 5 grilled cheeses(booo) and $ 5 burgers(yay!!!). So long as Miller High Life stays at $ 3, I’ll be happy enough to stop by here one more time.
