I was at Beauty Collection last week and again they have reached a new level of excellence staff and service in this past 6 months. Gloria gave me invaluable information and samples of skin products for sensitive skin and radiance and truly, I see a huge difference; enough to log in and write about it. She is also walking/​live proof of how one looks who take good care inside in out, and will share her knowledge with you.

Yes, I am a guy who takes care of himself and his skin… and yes, many women have commented that I have more «product» than they do. What can I say?
Here is what I love about this store… They have a huge «collection» of many different lines and products and give expert advice… and it is not just to the most expensive products, like many places do.
Their prices are fair and they honor the KCRW card and often have great sales and promotions.
Special kudos to Chris, who showed me a full range of items and really took his time with me. He made the shopping experience that much better. In fact, every time I have gone in there I am treated so well, and no one is rushing off to get to someone else, no matter the size of my purchase.
That is what makes this the only place I shop for facial cleansers, shampoo, conditioner, etc.

The staff is professional and welcoming. I had a facial with Dolores and it was wonderful. She is very nice and friendly and explained every step of the way regarding what she was using and why it was helpful. I have had facials before but this was great! I would highly recommend her! She also waxed my brows and they are on point! Amazing!

Michal did an amazing job on my make-​up and she made me feel special and beautiful. I called on a whim to see if I could have my makeup done just hours before going to a wedding. Not only did I have a great experience, but I also walked out with some great products, which is included in the price of make-​up. Great value and wonderful experience! I will definitely be back soon.

What an amazing experience and how much fun my daughter and I had yesterday afternoon at Beauty Collection in Calabasas!!! Michelle was phenomenal and so real as a sales person. She knew her products and is crazy good at lipstick selections for you! She totally gets it and matches you immediately with colors — I ended up getting 3 colors while I was there and a lilac was one of them!!! My lips look delicious and thank you Michelle for knowing your products and knowing your customer enough in such a little time to figure out what they will look good in!!!

Always great. Jackie goes the extra mile too. Very knowledgable about the products and even ordered a product for me that they were out of and had it shipped to my house. The store also is a sponsor of KCRW and has fringe benefits discounts for members.

I was actually really HELPED by the manager there, Kimberly. She gave me GREAT ADVISE and was genuine and made me feel comfortable spending my money there. If she hadn’t been there I can’t say I would have been as eager to splurge. In the past a couple times I felt more as though I was being watched and not really helped ultimately making me feel uncomfortable enough to not want to shop. Not this time! Kimberly made me feel like I was out shopping with my best friend. I left elated. Thanks Kimberly!!!

The 5 Stars goes towards customer service which is huge for me! I got lost a few times — shame on me because I have GPS but was too lazy to turn it on! Since I am quite familiar with the general location, I thought telephonic directions would do the trick! I called twice and both times, the employee who answered was so helpful — patiently explained the directions and at no time did she sound irritated or impatient! Trust me I have had snooty people answering the phones at other locations!
After I arrived, I was greeted by a smiling Terry! She was just this sweet, personable and incredibly patient young lady! She was so patient while I took pictures of a few products — Sigma makeup brushes– to send overseas to my family in order for them to chose their preferences! Due to the time difference, I had to hang out while I waited to get a response! Though I felt uncomfortable– felt like a stalker– she made me feel comfortable and welcomed!
While waiting for the response back from my family, I decided to browse the store! Both Jackie and Michelle answered all my questions without breathing down my neck! They were super nice and friendly! What touched me the most about these ladies was the fact they did not care what I looked like and the way I was dressed — very simply compared to their other customers who were glamorous looking and afluent– we are talking Calabasas! I say this because some of the young ladies at the Mac counter at Macys try to hurry me through my questions — thinking I am looker and not a buyer!

I love this store bc they carry some harder to find lines and they will help you find just what works for you. The prices are higher than I think other competitors but since it’s convenient (in store vs. mail order) I guess that’s a plus. My go to gal there is Leila — shes sweet and helpful!

Love the select of products but the last few times I have come here I get terrible service. Probably because I stop by with kids these women don’t assume I will be spending money-​but I have had to take my business elsewhere. Especially after booking a makeup appt and not getting a confirmation call then showing up only to find out they have 10 employees standing around but not 1 of them can do makeup application, seriously? I now have to find somewhere to do my makeup in the next 2 hours before an event. Not cool!

Let me preface this review by saying I was not here to shop, I was sent here to work two weekends in a row by my skin care company Arcona.
All of the staff was super nice, helpful and very professional– they all really know their stuff! The manager is super professional but also has a fun demeanor. I also work for a competitor of this store that will remain unnamed. The selection of this store is amazing. They have everything and more. They also play fun, jazz music, which beats today’s hits any day. Calabasas is about a 2 hour drive from my house with all LA traffic included. But if I happen to be in the area again, I will totally be here to stock up on all my beauty needs.

Just bought a new hair dryer! The bio ionic whisper light «the quietest dryer in the world’. It’s lightweight and guaranteed for 60 months!
So I’m happy that there is something quiet in my house for a change!
Love this store… helpful employees… tons of cool things to buy! When you sign up (free) you get $ back the next day to purchase more things. Guess where I’m going tomorrow!

This location is convenient during lunch hours or on way home from work. Kimberlee and her staff are always helpful and make great recommendations. There is one gal who gets everyone in the store to sing and dance, a la Glee. A fun atmosphere plus various (aka addicting) beauty products keeps me returning. You can find various brand under one roof. OK, I have a question… Why do the great ones always disappear?
I mentioned in my previous review for this place that Brianne won me over as a customer. I found out today that she is gone.
Color me not impressed! I’ve never had a good experience at Beauty Collection unless Brianne was there. There are so many other places I can go for beauty products, places that are far more convenient for me. Every other associate I’ve met, even managers (especially the managers!) have made me uncomfortable and seemed super phoney. While I know it’s their job to make me spend money, at least I felt like Brianne was trying to impart knowledge and make sure I had what was right for me…
Anyway, I definitely won’t be shopping here again. They let go of a real gem.
