This place has taken a downhill spiral compared to how the meals were cooked the last we were here. The customer service lacked. We were there much longer then we should have been. The waitresses were not very busy at all. Hopefully, it was one of their off days. Will return and update.

I was in the Calhoun area on a Friday Morning for business. I got a craving For the sunrise sampler, so I decided To hit the Cracker Barrel. Found a Parking space easily and entered The restaurant at 10:30. There were Maybe 2 or 3 groups waiting to be Seated and looking into the restaurant I could see that there were plenty of Tables available. I went to put my Name in and being just one person Figured I would be sat down immediately. I was wrong, I was told 15 minutes. I realize this is not fast food but I just Can’t add a 15 minute wait to my day. I will never be able to understand How any business can turn away Customers especially when this place Seemed very slow and so many tables Available. I was disappointed to say That I went to another restaurant Close by that was actually much Busier and sat down immediately. I gave 3 stars because I love cracker Barrel restaurants and never have a Problem at the Kennesaw location.

I thought it was a very good restaurant. The food was great as always and the serve was excellent.

Food was great, but I felt forgotten… Empty glass most of the visit. Then the waitress dropped off the bill and was gone faster than I could order dessert.

This was completely disappointing. So many issues here. The food came cold. I asked for crispy bacon and it was totally undercooked. The Grits were watery and undercooked. Although my server was pleasant she seamed like a fish out of water. She kept coming to my table asking me if everthing was OK, but never offer to fix it even though I explained the condition of my food. The restaurant was empty at the prime breakfast hours. It seamed that only a few of us travelers who got suckered by the previous name and reputation the Cracker Barrel company had built, we’re who their trying to attract. Their were No locals in the place. Don’t waste your time or money until better review out way the negative. Now I know why my friend who lives nearby didn’t even mention the place. Sad!

Great country homestyle cooking restaurant. They cook your food just like mama cooks it. They even cook food just like your grandma too. I got the Sunrise Breakfast. This includes bacon, sausage, country ham, biscuit and gravy, hash browns and biscuit and gravy. For my drink I got a sprite. The location is kind of hard to get to if you ask me as you have to circle around and go around to the back to find a parking space. All my food was excellent and great customer service my our experienced waitress. The sunny side up eggs were delicious.

I was going to write an extremely long review about this one, but I will just give you the most important details. I wouldn’t go back here, if they were the only restaurant left. Out of 5 of us, the waitress got 4 of them wrong. Its really hard to come back from that. They weren’t even hard orders. While mentioning wrong things to her though, she just said«its the cook that got it wrong» No apology, nothing. I’ll talk about my dish, my fried livers came out cold, and almost black from being burnt and just sitting there. They didn’t bring my cornbread, not the mayo for my pinto beans that I had ask for when taking my order(yes, I eat mayo on my pintos). Obviously, I sent my livers back. When they came back, they weren’t cooked hardly at all. At this point, I called the manager over and explained the situation. He offered to cook me another meal for a 3rd time. I most certainly declined. Our entire meal was free, all 5 of ours. I really thank the manager for stepping up and making it right, but I would never suggest anyone eat here, and I would never eat here again.

This Cracker Barrel was great. The baskets were good the muffins could have been a little more flavorful but the catfish was amazing! I would definitely recommend this location the service that crystal provided was awesome. Everyone was very friendly.

Got talked into trying this hole again. No coffee, no bread, no extra condiments, etc. I complained to the manager that the gravy tasted like it had cleaning fluid in it. He said it comes pre made in tubes and there was nothing he could do – what a douche.

As with most chain placed I’m forced to go to — the CB is consistent throughout. Same gifts, same menu, same prices, same olé same olé — no big surprises with this chain — except for maybe the service. Even that is pretty consistent and for consistency it’s actually pretty good. You might get the occasional server in a bad mood, but once they spend time with me they always are happy! It’s difficult for a chain to get 5 stars out of me and this one is no different — it’s good — ok — I’d return for sure!

Well, y’all, it’s Cracker Barrel, so you pretty much know the drill. When on a road trip, what’s a better breakfast stop?(Ok, I’ll give you WaHo but it depends on if you want/have more grease or a little healthier fare!) We got coffee before leaving Atlanta and needed actual sustenance less than an hour out(he drives fast), hence our CB foray. Typical fare and nice people — Penny was pleasant and efficient) and I did note that now they have books-on-tape on DVD too! Cool. I went with a simple one egg(scrambled) and toast combo, with bacon(standard and tasty as expected) and he did some kind of combo with eggs, biscuits, ham, jam, etc. Full and ready to ride, and we were off! One note– this CB location is a little hard to notice(though the highway sign indicates it, it is a bit undistinguishable off-road because the porch is not on the street side).

Cracker Barrel is a great place to come out for lunch. You(regardless of your age) are allowed to order off the kids menu which gives you an entrée, side and drink for less than 6 bucks! There are better places to eat in Calhoun, but Cracker Barrel is by far the cheapest. You would think that there isn’t a lot of food on the kids order, but there is enough to satisfy me and I’m a 6’0, 21 year old male! So if you are ever want to count your pennies, but still want to go out for lunch, go to Cracker Barrel.

For a chain restaurant Cracker Barrel is a hit or a miss at times… today was somewhat of a miss. I had the veggie plate and got the fried okra(which was luke warm) the macaroni and cheese(was okay had to add salt and pepper but it was cheesy) baked sweet potato(extremely tiny) and corn(no seasoning at all, had to add sugar, salt, and pepper)… Oh and I also had a biscuit which was as bland as they come with a hard bottom I peeled off. So I say it was somewhat of a miss because I don’t expect much going in there, but as a restaurant at least make sure the food is hot and seasoned a little bit… and please find bigger sweet potatoes!!! Other than that, it’s always nice walking around the store part and finding little knick knacks here and there. Since there’s not many options close to the outlet mall, we’ll return here when we’re in the area again, but hopefully it will be a hit…

When Cracker Barrel finally came to Calhoun, we built the business its own road. Is this place ever deserted? I think not. I hadn’t been to Cracker Barrel in years, shunning it as my palate grew more«refined.» Then, my father received a gift certificate to the restaurant for his birthday, and, unwilling to turn down free food, I went along. I was pleasantly surprised by both the service and the food. Our glasses were never empty, which is more than I can say for some of the more upscale places I’ve dined. The lemonade was excellent, and the meal reminded me of the Southern-style cooking I have abandoned since childhood. My meal was simple but delicious: spicy grilled catfish with turnip greens(vinegar on the side, of course) and macaroni and cheese. It was superb; the epitome of southern food and hospitality.

Yes! Don’t worry, if you missed the CB in Dalton, keep the diesel truckin cuz the new spot in Resaca has RV and Truck parking! Where else can you have a great 5000 calorie meal brought to you and your sweet tea topped off by a cutie named Britney? I am bumping this nice CB to 4 for a few reasons: 1. Britney 2. The sell Georgia Tech memorabilia in addition to UGA! 3. The 1000 calorie apple pie dumping a la mode is in season
