I was new to the area and was looking for a hair salon Shear brilliance had the best reviews. I went in and met Britney it was her first day there she did a great job on my hair cut and I ended up going back to get my hair done a beautiful red color (I totally copied her) I have been wanting for a while and I go to her ever since she is great! The people there are super nice they make u feel so comfortable the moment you walk in, and the salon is beautiful I definitely recommend this place…

After searching forever to find a hairdresser I can trust, I finally came to Shear Brilliance and had Madeline Blount turn my hair from brunette to blonde by putting highlights in it and it came out beautifully. No orange tones, no damage, I felt back to my naturally blonde self. I highly recommend Madeline because I trust that she knows what she’s doing and I never feel nervous anymore getting my hair done (which is a miracle for me). Thank you a ton!

So I’ve been here twice.
First experience: I go and do my consultation and the hair dresser tells me $ 80 for low lights, so I tell her go ahead and do it. When she was done I must admit I liked the results, but when I go to pay she wants to charge me $ 120. I don’t know how the price magically jumped from $ 80 to $ 120 but I felt completely ripped off and lied to.
I should have NEVER gone back, but I made a mistake and did.
Second experience: I go back and do my consultation, I wanted an ombré look, and I had some red tints on the top of my hair I wanted gone. The hair dresser, a different one than last time said she can do it. So the first thing that happens is that she makes my hair on the top extremely dark (black) and the bottom of my hair extremely blonde, it wasn’t blended in well at all it looked horrible like a inexperienced 15 year old who’s experimenting did it. So I politely ask her to darken the bottom a little so it can at least look a little bit better and she so she does. When my mom came, she saw that it looked extremely bad. So my mom pointed that out, and the hair dresser got extremely rude. My mom kept trying to ask her to talk to her so they can work something out and fix this mess, but she was SOOO rude. She accused us of having a «system.» Umm no we are willing to pay the full price, we tried to stop and talk about it so she can fix it, but she didn’t want to. She rips the towel off of me which is basically gesturing for us to leave. She didn’t want to admit or face that she made a mistake. All we did was try to stop and talk about it so we can figure out a different way to fix this and peacefully fix the problem. Most hair dresser would listen to what the client has to say and if they are able to do what they ask they agree to fix it, but not here. My hair now looks horrible. I washed it and the redness in the roots came back, the top of my hair is black, and the bottom is this dead boring color. I asked for the top of my hair to remain brown, like my naturally color, now I don’t know how I’m going to get rid of the black. The worst part is it’s black and the roots have so much redness in them. What kind of professionalism is this?! None of what I asked for, or showed them in the picture. I don’t think I can dye my hair again for a few months because I don’t want to completely damage it so I think I’m going to spend my next few months stuck wearing a hat or something so people don’t see this horrid mess.
This place isn’t as professional as it looks, they are rude, the first time they tried to rip me off, and when I give them a second chance they completely ruin my whole hair and then instead of apologizing and trying to fix it get defensive and rude. At the end we still paid her majority of the price because we have morals and ethics but I will never come back here. Two bad experiences is enough, even one star is being too generous.

My hairdress Madeline Blount is one of the best hairdressers I know. She always knows what looks good and she always does what I want. She is not one of those hairdresser who loves to cut more of your hair than asked for. She is always up to date with the new hair styles and colors. I recommend Madeline Blount and Shear Brilliance Hair Salon. Please go to her you will be happy that you did.

Did a great haircut for my son, They took more time paid attention to get it right for him as he always complianed about cutting too short and they did a wonderful job. Very happy and pleased with their service.

I had an appointment on a Saturday morning. I showed up early and MADELINE was already there waiting. The price was very reasonable, she was very friendly and most importantly, I love my hair!

Shear Brilliance is a gem of a salon in the same strip mall as Ralph’s and Wells Fargo. The stylists are all experienced and talented, the atmosphere is really nice, the prices are fair, and they treat you well. I want to say — they do ORGANIC hair color, and it’s fantastic. No ammonia or gross chemicals to burn your hair/​scalp, and muck up the environment. Stylist Misty Garcia did my cut and color, and I love it!!! The color looks so natural, it didn’t fade, and my cut is awesome. She’s also a trained makeup artist. Go see Misty — let her work some magic on you. She cuts men’s hair, too. I really like this salon. They usually take walk-​ins, which is nice, and definitely schedule appointments.

I had to Unilocal about this place as I’m new to the area and I’ve been getting my cuts from the same girl for the last 15 years so finding someone new I was hesitant… and I’m very picky about my cuts (yes guys are picky about there hair :). Anyway a buddy at work gave me the tip and I went in. Nice lil shop and a great cut I had misty who did an awesome job!!! I found my new spot to keep me looking fresh for sure!!! got complements all nite on my hair :) :) and even a #… I will definitely be back…

Yesterday (11÷13÷13) was my second visit. I am happy to say that my stylist is ROSEANNE! On my first visit, she essentially corrected my highlights and color. Not speaking negatively of my previous hairdresser, she professionally pointed out what needed correction and explained why, so that I would have a better understanding. Loved the end result. My haircut is both flattering if I go natural curly or straight. Loved my peek a boo highlights, which gave me the right amount of color that I wanted.
She also gave me advice on the proper use of my hair products. I am a bit challenged in the hair department, so I truly welcomed the advice. As a result, my hair feels and looks a lot healthier.
Second Visit: Color touch up and Peek a boo Highlights. Again, Excellent result! My hair is shiny and soft. She takes into consideration that my hair is fragile and is very gentle when styling my hair.
Atmosphere is friendly from the time you step in the door! Complimentary beverages are a plus! Definitely a hidden gem.

Love love love this salon! The staff is great and so nice. I highly recommend Rosanne she is amazing!

Sadly, I never got a chance to try this salon with such great reviews. I could not get pass the lady who answered the phone. My mistake was I should have looked up their location online. She clearly had no clue what it means when someone ask what’s your cross streets. She repeatedly said the cross streets were Carmenita and Shoemaker. After telling her a few times they don’t cross she finally realized what she was saying. She rudely told me SOUTH and Carmenita. She started to ramble something like I told you. I never even got the chance to ask if they take walk ins? I was ready to swing by and try out the new salon in the area. I just couldn’t trust going for hair cut after getting that customer service. Just a quick tip… good customer service starts even on the phone.

What can I say… Have you ever had a bad color job & desperately, turned to Unilocal where you came across a new salon only to hope that it’s as good as their reviews & come to find out that they are?! Madeline Blount had me back to my normal self plus more in no time! The experience was quick and sweet, no appointment necessary, the salon is professional, refreshing & clean, the customer service …6 stars! :)

If there were 10 stars, this place would get 11. Everything is newly built, newly established, with a nice refreshing feel as well as experienced hairdressers. Gina Meyers is a vet at this stuff, in her own rite… Having done a variety of hair over the course of a couple of decades, she is firm in her affinity for her craft & area of expertise. The product design is acceptional & that’s nothing new.
The salon is beautiful and offers ample parking.. at least it has in the few times that I’be been there.
Having your hair done here is sure to bring great hilarity to your day, & not just soley due to your doo! Haha!

Eight weeks ago was my first time here at Salon Brilliance. And yes I’m a Michelle Combs follower, too! 12+years in the making. This salon has a fresh and chic décor. The moment you enter, a friendly receptionist greets you, seats/​accommodates and ask if you want anything to drink. Great host etiquette for a salon. My hair fairy, Michelle, always does magic with my hair. From long to short… Solid to highlights… She’s an awesome hair stylist! She always have fun doing my hair as much as I do.
