New Hair Connection

I came here on a Monday as she was the only salon nearby that was open. I figured a straight haircut/​trim is easy enough. Gina screwed up one side of my hair which now looks like it was chopped uneven as she added layers to the front. She went ahead and grabbed a random amount of bangs and proceeded to cut them hastily to trim my side bangs. Now I have extra bangs that looks like bad China bangs… I asked her twice to thin out my hair or take some weight off as I know that my hair will look like a mushroom, but she refused both times. I had to go to another salon a few days later to somehow fix the bangs. Of course they couldn’t as Gina already cut them way too short but they did take some weight off and fixed the bad cut as much as they could. Do not go to this salon!!!

I’ve been coming here for almost 22 years. Gina, the owner and hairstylist, is excellent. Great hairstyle, quality straight perm, the best prices in orange county. I drive 45 miles to have this classy lady style my hair. She even did my hair and my bridal party for my wedding in 1994. That’s how loyal I am to this place.

My boyfriend has been a customer here since he was in 2^nd grade. I’ve accompanied him to get a haircut here more than a few times and needless to say, his stylist is like an aunt to him now. This is a predominantly Korean salon, but there was one white stylist there, FYI. This review is for Jina; she is so sweet. For a guy’s cut, we spent no longer than 20 min and it costs $ 12, though we always give her $ 20;)
One of these days, I’ll probably get my hair did by Jina too!
