Ok so I have to say, they did a beautiful job but that was the most expensive haircut I’ve ever gotten! $ 50 plus a $ 10 tip! Now I know my hair is longer, as in 2in past my bra strap. Shampoo, cut, blow dry and straighten that just seems way expensive! I walked in and asked for a trim, not sure if all the extras were why it was so expensive but man that was way more than I had expected to pay. Won’t be going back there again

This place is amazing! Everyone is friendly and professional. My granddaughter donated her hair to locks of love and the place that cut it did a bad job. Luz made look cute and was really good about getting us in with little notice. I highly recommend this place.

This is a great place! Beautifully decorated and calm! Not a lot of loud women talking constantly. Wonderful and very talented hair designers. And, resonable prices. Would recommend South Street Hair Designers to everyone!

The new owner, Cindy has been cutting my hair for a long time, and always does a great job. Always an enjoyable experience and I look forward to my appointments. All others in the shop are great as well, and there is a comfortable and fun atmosphere in the shop. Definitely worth a trip there if you’re looking for a new place to get your hair done!

I’ve lived in the area for about 4 years now, and only noticed this place recently. It’s on the east side of Ralph’s market. I made an appointment the same day I called, and very happy they are open from 9am — 9pm which gives me flexibility after work. My appt was with Luz, and when I arrived 10 minutes ahead of time, she greeted me warmly and was ready to go. I’m a little indecisive when it comes to haircuts, so I laid down the basics I wanted and she gave me several options and her opinions. We had a nice fun conversation, along with some other people there, so I didn’t feel that unusual awkward silence. Luz was very thorough and professional, even though I just got a simple haircut/​trim, I was very pleased with the outcome. The price was a bit on the high side (I paid $ 50), but honestly in all the other places I’ve been to, it was still in the average price range for women’s haircut. Overall, everyone was very friendly and welcoming, good cut and good hours. I may have just found «my go to» hair salon!
