I hate writing this review because everyone at the salon was very friendly and it was evident that they were going out of their way to make you feel welcome, however my experience was subpar — and frankly just strange.
I got a no chip mani + pedi.
My pedi was great, no complains there. However, my no chip mani was done by a nice lady who seemed to have little experience doing nails. She did a wonderful job filing and buffing, and was kind enough to ask if the shape was fine and if there was anything I’d like her to fix. But when it came to the painting, things started to fall apart.
First off, she did just the pinky and ring finger to start — so this meant 1 layer on the left pinky + ring finger, then UV lamp, then 1 layer on the right pinky + ring finger, then UV lamp, 2^nd layer on the left then UV lamp, 2^nd layer on right then UV lamp, etc. Only after 3 layers did she move on to the middle and index finger for each hand — rinse and repeat the process described earlier. And then finally moved on to the thumbs. So as you can imagine, this meant 18 rounds of the UV lamp since it was for 3 layers, two nails a time. (If she had done all fingers together, it would’ve simply been 6 rounds of UV for 3 layers.)
Moving on, when all nails were colored, she did the top coat in one go (thank God), only to take on the color again to GO OVER the top coat with another layer of color to fill in any spots she missed. She then proceed to layer on another top coat. All in all, I had my hands under the UV lamp at least 24 times. Not to mention she then did the edges, which asked for another round of UV. That makes 26. At least she was thorough.
If you’ve been counting, that’s SIX coats of thick no chip, and of course, my nails came out looking like marshmallows. Not to mention this took me 1.5 hours. They didn’t have a drying station and so I was asked to wait another 30 minutes for my toes to dry naturally. In sum, it was 2 hours for a no chip mani + pedi.
*Not to mention the strange booking policy. I had a Gilt City voucher and this was the third time I had tried to make an appointment at least a week in advance. The first two times they were fully booked. Instead of booking a time and date that work for you, they ask you for a range of times/​dates and call you back a day later to let you know what slot you get.

I went in on a Saturday (Nov. 14^th) for the service. I was greeted warmly & up-​beat (by who I think is the owner). She took my coat and offered my a glass of wine. I arrived a bit early because it takes me forever to pick out colors. She was super helpful and patient with me as I analyzed every shade they have :) When I finally settled on colors– I was escorted to the massaging chair (nice touch). A guy did my pedicure & it was excellent, from the foot & leg massages to the polish, awesome. The same woman who helped me pick the colors did my manicure. Excellent no-chip…nothing chipped or peeled the entire time I had it on. I had a dark color and my nails grow quickly so I ended up getting it taken off a week and a half later but it definitely would have stayed on the full two+ weeks. Also– they let you know during the appointment that they guarantee the no-​chip mani and to come back at anytime within the two-​weeks if anything chips or peels and they will fix it free of charge.
I tried to get back in to get another no-​chip manicure but they couldn’t get me in so I went somewhere else in the neighborhood… wish I would have just waited to go back to Eleventh Hour… as my no– chip experience at the other salon was not good.

I have been all over the city and this was the first time I actually walked away feeling good about myself and bit more educated about haircare. Sarah was a trip, super fun and knowledgable and no bulls*. She didn’t look at me and say «You need fixed!» like other salons. Rather, «How can you walk away feeling your best?!» I will definitely come back. And the woman that helped me with my appointment and information was lovely as well. Thanks again! ;)

I just got a dermaplaning facial with the oxygen add on… it was amazing!!! Lydia is awesome! Everyone there was so kind and welcoming. They got me checked in early and actually let my boyfriend buy me this facial as a birthday gift, even though they don’t sell gift cards for money value. They treated me like they were happy to see me again, even though this was my first visit. Love it!!!

I found this hidden gem of a salon on Gilt City. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone. I was traveling from out of town and needed a mani/​pedi before an event and the staff made special arrangments to fit me into their schedule to accommodate me. My nails looked amazing and the service was some of the best I’ve experienced at any salon anywhere and I travel often. My nails looked amazing, the staff and the service was amazing and I received a quick ride back to the hotel in a 1929 Model A Roadster with a 350 under the hood! You can’t have a bad day when you start it off like I just described. I will return to this salon every time I travel to Chicago. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I got a Hair cut at this salon, I found it at Unilocal and based on reviews I selected this place. It was Sunday and I had no appointment I just called and asked if they can give me an appointment and they said this is fine. I asked for basic hair cut which was 60 $ which 15% tip included too. The girl who gave me a hair cut was Cortny which was super nice and kind. She did a great job. I will come back to this place for sure.

Such a great experience! Absolutely welcoming and inviting environment the moment you walk in the door! The absolutely most perfect place to go for your after work mani-​pedi. A glass of wine and a perfect no chip mani and pedi… Need I say more?! So glad to give Eleventh Hour a try. I will be back bi-​weekly!

This salon is lively (I mean that in the best way) and professional at the same time. I had my first sew in with Courtney who did an AMAZING job! You will not have a stylist snapping their gum, on their cellphone while trying to do your hair-​but hey if that’s your thing, go for it! You really can’t go wrong here, while I was getting my hair done, a couple women came in for no chip manicures and they left happy and excited to return. He even was patient enough while a client looked on Pinterest for a design. I noticed another client who came in wanting a Keratin treatment. Everything done here is dealt with laughter, a good mimosa, and professionalism.
I searched for a hot minute for a good salon around my area and decided to just bite the bullet and look in Chicago and it is well worth the drive for others that are considering this salon. Hell, make a day of it and go shopping at the Watertower Place! Lol

Found this salon through reviews and decided to give it a try– I was able to book a facial and a hair cut back to back, which was very convenient. From the minute I walked in I was greeted so warmly and treated like a friend by everyone at the salon. My facial was so comprehensive; Lydia took her time and made a recommendation to do microdermabrasion based on my skin. My skin looks amazing. My hair cut was great and the styling was beautiful– Sarah did an amazing job and was so fun to talk to. I had such a blast and felt very relaxed! Will be back again!

The staff is awesome!!! As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by everyone. I went in to get my hair styled-​loose curls– and make up. They did a great job, my curls lasted for a couple days, which is soo great! I will definitely be returning!

I’m totally digging this new boutique-​style full service salon. The girls are so welcoming and I was having a bad night and they definitely helped! Amazing wax and custom spray tan! The vibe is awesome, fun and chill. Def recommend this place to anyone!

Such a great salon! I went there on a Friday (an hour and a half before my actual appt) and they were easily able to accommodate the change. I had my eyebrows waxed and a no chip mani. I have super sensitive skin and the wax was super gentle. I love my no chip manicure and appreciated the care the nail tech provided.
I’ve scheduled an appt for a blowout in a couple weeks. If you live or work in the area, I highly recommend checking out this salon!

My sister was in town this week for a visit, and we were looking for a salon that was open on Monday for facials. I found Eleventh Hour Salon via Amazon Local. I’ve had some bad experiences using discounts for beauty services, but my inner cheapskate won out, and we purchased a $ 125 oxygenating facial for about $ 80. Additionally, I was able to schedule the appointments online, which was a huge bonus at ten on a Sunday night.
We arrived a bit before our appointments Monday morning at 11. Immediately, we were offered a vast array of drinks, including mimosas. Umm, yes please! The lovely receptionist, Animah, opened a fresh bottle and the morning was off to a pleasant start. The staff kept talking to us like we were long lost cousins or something, and we settled into the couches.
The gent that did our facials, Ian, was running a bit late. We saw him walk in at eleven, (for an eleven appointment,) and by the time the room was ready and we got started, it was 11:20. Although I was initially a bit irked, Ian immediately apologized profusely. It happens, so no biggie. He was so gosh darn adorable I couldn’t stay mad for long.
Now the facial itself? Mmmmm. I got a little freaked out by the *tiny* robe provided, but it made sense later. For starters, Ian has the gentlest hands. Ever. Secondly, every other facial I’ve had, some cream or the steamer is started, and away goes the practitioner. Ian stayed in the room every second of the hour and fifteen minutes, and whenever he wasn’t working on my face, there was a lovely shoulder massage. Lovely. It was basically a facial and massage all in one, and was just about the most relaxing thing I’ve done in ages. Ages, people!
Animah kept the mimosas flowing while I was waiting for my sister. And then she dropped a bomb on me. She asked me to get my parking meter ticket so they could reimburse my parking. Let me repeat that in case you are in disbelief like I was. They *reimbursed* my parking. In Chicago. I tried arguing, because really, I’m prepared to pay for that. But she insisted, and I was floored. I’m still pretty psyched about it.
Four days later, and my face is smoother than a baby’s patootie. And my super, super sensitive skin has nary a blemish nor spot. I’m in love! I will most definitely be not only going back regularly, but purchasing one of their nifty packages of 11 facials, and trying a few other services as well. Heck, I might even try and schedule one at 10 on a Sunday night. (Oh, did I mention the insane hours they are open??? I think that’s where the ‘Eleventh Hour’ part comes from…) These people have a great thing going. Can’t wait to go back!

Really friendly staffs and most importantly great service. i am really happy with my facials. Definitely gonna recommend it. Plus very neat and clean place.

Loved the salon the second I walked in. Lovely staff, awesome ambience and décor. Was given wine as soon as I sat down and was offered a bunch of services and offers right away. Loved my haircut (trim on long hair, layering, wispy side bangs) and will definitely be returning. I’ve been looking for a salon to go to for a while now I think I’ve finally found one :) I would definitely recommend this place.

Complete & Total relaxation is what’s on the menu at the Eleventh Hour Salon. The entire staff was super friendly & laid back. I went in for a massage & facial but ended adding a waxing session. Rosalyn had me so relaxed with the steam, low lights & soothing music I think I fell asleep for awhile. I am definitely going back.

My first experience at Eleventh Hour Salon was amazing! I needed a hair trim before an interview in the West Loop area so i scoped out some places nearby. Initially, I was hesitant because the salon seemed fairly new and there were not many reviews on Unilocal.They had some people outside promoting the salon so i deiced to try it out.
First of all, the customer service was great! They have iPads at the styling stations, free snacks and water, music with head phones you can use, and comfortable shampoo bowls they wash your hair in. If you have your smart phone or computer, you can connect to their free wifi while you wait.
My stylist, Shantale, was very professional and great to talk to. I gave her a vague idea of how I wanted my hair cut, and the result was exactly what I wanted. The salon has a very professional, yet positive vibe; if you are having a particularly stressful day, it would be a great place to relax and get a spa treatment.
After my haircut, they mentioned some promos they were having. They were polite, but not pushy about the deals they had. If I move to or start working in the area I would definitely hit them up on these offers.
I was extremely happy with my experience at eleventh hour salon. The next day, the receptionist at my interview even complimented me on my hair! This is definitely an up and coming place and I would not hesitate to book an appointment if you are in the area. They have very flexible hours (11 – 11), the customer service is great, and they have a professional, yet relaxing vibe.
